Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
This is likely to be a big month for different reasons. Both your ruling planets, Jupiter and Neptune, are in action this month and the possibilities are endless.
In mythology, Jupiter governed the sky and Neptune governed the sea and if you’re a true Pisces you don’t limit yourself to everyday affairs. You’re always willing to explore further, go beyond what’s possible and immerse yourself in your vivid imagination & the fantasy realm.
Yet let’s start with the basics and some simple astrology. As June begins, communication planet Mercury is completing it’s long and slow journey through the earth sign Taurus. Mercury entered Taurus and your communication sector on April 5th and it’s only on June 12th that Mercury waves Taurus goodbye.
In addition, on June 7th, Mercury finally leaves its shadow phase and this is brilliant for communication. You might hear the news you been waiting for and it’s a positive period to chase people up, try again where you’ve failed in the past and keep the lines of communication open.
This is brilliant for second chances and the more organised you are early on in June, the easier your life in general. Mercury in Taurus is an efficient administrator and won’t think twice about getting on top of correspondence and those all-important things to do.
So get busy this month and get your affairs in order. This is especially important because there is some challenging astrology in the heavens this month. This astrology highlights the foundations of your chart and change in one area is likely to have a knock-on effect in other areas.
This month there are key planets in Gemini and your home and family sector, taskmaster Saturn remains dominant in Sagittarius and your career sector, bountiful Jupiter is blessing your relationship sector and Neptune is along for the ride in your sign of Pisces, representing you, your personal goals and aims.
This will be most evident during the New Moon on June 5th which takes place in the sign of Gemini. New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings when new opportunities come your way and you can set your intentions ready for a proactive period in your life.
However during this New Moon, there’s a Grand Cross in the sky. This pulls in six of the ten planets and a Grand Cross can indicate tension and conflict. Sometimes you feel as if you’re in a stuck situation and it’s easy to slip into impossibility. This is not your style and what’s important to note is that all the planets take place in the four mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
So yes, you will be juggling different areas of your life and especially the big four – self, love, home, work – and you might find that you’re confronted with a tough choice to make, but remember that your sign is fluid, and you know how to go with the flow. This will also be useful during the middle of the month when there is a major planetary aspect between Saturn in Sagittarius and your ruling planet Neptune in Pisces on June 18th.
Saturn and Neptune are opposing influences. Saturn rules boundaries whereas your planet Neptune is boundless. Ideally you need to find a way for these two opposing energies to work together. It would be easy to give in to fear or be seduced by plans that aren’t realistic. This could be a soul searching time when you feel lost and can’t find your way forward.
Saturn might be blocking your vision, your ability to feel hopeful about where you’re heading in life. Yet Neptune on its own can swim round and round in circles with no sense of direction. So you need some of Saturn’s discipline, you need a plan but you also need to allow your spirit to soar far and wide and be free to dream, Neptune’s domain. Be inspired by Neptune but keep it real.
The turning point comes on June 20th when the Full Moon in the sky lights up the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of your chart. This is when you can make a decision about your work and career and how you can juggle or fit what you want to do in the world with your personal responsibilities to your family and home. Keep exploring the options this month and know that answers will come.
You also have a lot of support on your side now either from family members or other people close to you. Remember that Jupiter is in your opposite sign of Virgo, your relationship sector which is good news both for love and partnership in general.
Don’t go it alone in this month if you do feel lost or scared and create strong support amongst your community and in your personal life. For some, this might turn out to be a glorious month for love. The planet of love and relating, Venus, enters Cancer and your romance sector on June 17th and three days later on June 20th, Venus is joined by the Sun in Cancer.
The Sun’s move into Cancer heralds the Solstice, the midpoint of the year. This is the longest day or the shortest day depending where you live in the world. As Cancer rules all the good things in life in your chart, e.g. romance, children and pregnancy, creativity, entertainment, this is your cue to put any problems or challenges to one side and focus on the things in life you love.
Plus your traditional ruling planet Jupiter is also powerful on the weekend of the 24th to the 26th. On the 24th, Jupiter is it the same point in the zodiac as the karmic North node, the destiny point. Then two days later Jupiter makes a stunning trine aspect to the planet of transformation Pluto.
This lights up the people sectors of your charts. It links love and friendship and feels like a positive and productive period for these areas of your life. Whether you are getting hitched, making up or breaking up, this is a cosmic opportunity to follow your heart and draw people into your life who have a positive effect upon you.
