Gemini March 2018

Gemini (21 May – 21 June)

Your ruling planet Mercury starts the month in Pisces and your career and vocation sector. This could turn out to be a significant month for your work and where you’re heading in life. Do bear in mind, however, that there will be times when you feel confused or you lose your way.

Your planet Mercury isn’t strong in Pisces as there are too many options or possibilities and it’s hard to know which way to turn. The key with Mercury in Pisces is to trust in life and go with the flow. Rather than trying to work everything out in your head, listen to your heart and what your intuition tells you. Do what feels right rather than what you think is right.

This is important early in the month when there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac on the 2nd. This highlights your foundations, your home life versus your working life. It may be an emotional time for you or perhaps you’re struggling to juggle the different aspects of your life.

A lot depends on whether you enjoy what you do in life. If you’re living your dream and following your vocation, the beginning of March could be inspirational. If you know you’re on the wrong path and bored with your routine, it may seem as if you’re swimming against the tide rather than flowing with life.

Early March is an excellent time to seek out inspiration and follow your yearnings, your longings. Broaden your horizons and get in touch with your vision and purpose for what you want and why. A meaningful life is a life well lived and that’s what your astrology is urging you to discover.

Jupiter too plays a part in your destiny this month as it’s in action on the 1st, 2nd and 13th. Plus, big planet Jupiter switches direction in Scorpio and your work and health sector on the 9th. Look at whether you need to change direction, to head off down a new path. This would be an ideal time of year to reorient your compass and consider where fulfilment lies.

This month’s New Moon on the 17th is also in the sentimental star sign Pisces, an excellent date to aim high and follow your dreams. New Moons are synonymous with new beginnings. While the Sun is in Pisces and your career sector until the 20th, make your vocation and your future happiness your goal.

If you’re struggling to make sense of things this month, then don’t go it alone. Your ruler, Mercury, moves into Aries and your friendship and group sector on the 6th, alongside Venus, the planet of relating.

This puts the emphasis on teamwork, collaborative ventures and group connections. Together you’re stronger is Mercury in Aries’ motto. Coming together with other people in the name of a good cause or simply to have fun and hang out brings a welcome new dimension to your life.

This month may be exceptionally social for you and it’s via other people that new opportunities and openings come your way. The day of the Equinox, March 20th, could be memorable as your ruler Mercury teams up with Venus in Aries on the same date as the Sun moves into Aries. Use your networks, your connections to improve your own life and benefit the lives of others.

Take care, however, that you don’t get carried away financially and over-spend in the month ahead.  Keep your outgoings realistic, especially if your social life opens up new doors.

You might have some new financial goals after the 17th, once action planet Mars moves into Capricorn and your joint finance sector. This is an ambitious placing for Mars. It indicates the start of a two month period when you have to fight for what’s rightfully yours or recognise that money requires a tough approach. This is, however, primarily April’s theme.

For now, focus on having a good time without it costing the earth. Know too that timing is the key to collaborative ventures and group connections. This is because your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 23rd in Aries. Mercury is on go slow until April 15th, a significant turning point.

You might be involved in a launch or preparing for a big event mid-April. This fits your current astrology. Know too that some friendships may go quiet while Mercury’s on go slow or perhaps it’s you who wants to back off a little. Love and friendship are linked twice during March, once on the 11th and again on the 29th. Events close to these dates may reveal more.

Plus, the second Full Moon in March, a Blue Moon, falls on the 31st in Libra and your romance sector. It could be that the end of the month brings some new excitement your way on the love front or you’re ready to prioritise a close relationship.

When Mercury’s retrograde, however, you are wise to pull back and quieten things down rather than go hell for leather. You need more time to yourself once Mercury’s on go slow or, at least, create some space to think about what you’re doing and why.

Mercury retrograde can be a notoriously tricky period for communication when misunderstandings are prevalent. Transport and technology issues often crop up too when Mercury, the trickster, is in evidence.

More likely than not, you will want some time to work out the dynamics of a relationship or friendship situation. Up until the 17th, action planet Mars is in Sagittarius and your relationship sector. This is invariably a stormy time for your 1-to-1’s. Yes, Mars promises passion but it often coincides with arguments or disagreements too.

If one relationship in your life, either personal or professional, becomes overwhelming, this may be another reason why you’re ready to put some distance between you or take time out to consider your next steps. Mercury retrograde isn’t the time to make any major decisions but it is ideal for contemplation and focusing on you.
