The New Moon on the 10th falls in Libra, a symbol of new beginnings, and Libra is your personal money sector. Traditionally, this is a positive date to set things in motion around money. However, this month favours more hesitancy as planets are turning retrograde.
Yet, you’re wise to notice what comes your way on or around the 10th. Know where your values lie when it comes to money and notice how your relationships impact your financial well-being.
Trust your intuition around money on the 15th when the Sun in Libra aligns with the planet of good fortune Jupiter in Leo. This could symbolise a private benefactor helping you out. Or someone from your past stepping alongside you.
Scorpio Season
Scorpio season begins on the 23rd when the Sun moves into Scorpio. However, this month, there’s plenty of intensity and focused activity in the star sign representing power throughout October.
Most importantly for you, your ruling planet Mercury is in Scorpio all month. Plus, the planet of relating Venus in Scorpio and your communication sector until the 25th. Therefore, this is a positive time to open the lines of communication, get on the phone and use your networks to the max.
Scorpio rules your community, also your neighbours and siblings and people power is where it’s at. You may be aware of the impact you make on others, thanks to your voice or sharing your knowledge or wisdom.
Mars’ Clash
There is a proviso, however, because of what’s happening with the other planets. Firstly, action planet Mars is in Leo and the most hidden sector of your horoscope throughout October. This can be a time when you’re hard on yourself, so be wary of turning any anger or frustration inward. And, rein in your inner critic.
Plus, on the 3rd, Mars in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius and your work and health sector. Pluto’s opposition to Mars could slow you down or stop you in your tracks. You might have work commitments that trap you. Or you’re unable to get the time off work to pursue other goals.
Whatever’s going on in your life could flare up throughout October. This is because your planet Mercury is pulled into the conflict on the 2nd and again on the 30th. Venus in Scorpio clashes with Mars and Pluto on the 10th & 20th and during this month’s Full Moon in Taurus on the 26th, both the Sun and Moon clash with Pluto.
What feels like hard work in your life? Or where are you having to dig deep to get your voice heard? Who’s up against you or where are your morals or principles being challenged?
Consider your stress levels this month and don’t take on anything that pushes you beyond your comfort zone. If you’re a typical Sun Virgo, you have a lively mind and you can worry overly when things don’t work out. Take a step back from a conflict situation and don’t get involved if things turn volatile. Venus & Mercury Retrograde
There’s another reason why silence may be the best policy. This is because both the planet of relating Venus and your ruling planet Mercury turn retrograde in Scorpio and your communication sector, Venus on the 3rd and Mercury on the 24th.
This could turn out to be a tricky month for communication. If you want to get hold of a specific individual or talk to someone in-depth, it could be a stop-start affair. Bear this in mind regarding professional associations and in your personal life.
Perhaps, you reconnect with someone from your past as this is a key theme of the retrograde phases. You could be attending a school reunion or meet up with friends you’ve known since childhood.

It’s potentially a double whammy of communication chaos with both Mercury and Venus retrograde in your communication sector. Therefore, you’re wise to feel your way forward carefully and double check everything. This could be a time of misunderstandings. Or technology or transport breas down.
