Venus Retrograde
Your ruling planet Venus is retrograde in Gemini until the 25th, which means it’s giving the impression of moving backwards in the heavens.
This is a time for reflection and revision rather than steaming forwards. Sometimes, this coincides with delays or frustration, especially around money. It may help to think back to May/June 2012 when Venus was retrograde in this same sector of your zodiac to see if any patterns emerge.
Gemini is the star sign that rules your money and personal values. While Venus is on go slow, this is the perfect opportunity for a review of your finances, a self-audit or a rethink of your personal skills.
If you’re feeling undervalued or unvalidated either financially or personally, you may want or need to retreat for a while. Yet, as Gemini is one of the air signs, keep the lines of communication open. Talk to other people, ask for advice, find out relevant information to your current situation.
Be wary who you turn to during this period. Mars is currently in Pisces and your friendship and group sector. On the 3rd, Venus and Mars clash in the heavens. Therefore, you may find yourself at odds with someone close or not appreciate a friend’s pushy attitude.
Neptune is in Pisces too, so there’s a theme of subterfuge, deceit or illusion. Keep your wits about you and don’t be easily fooled. Tap in to your earthy Taurus common sense.

Lunar Eclipse
A new eclipse cycle begins this month cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of your horoscope and is active until December 2021. The Full Moon or Lunar Eclipse takes place on the 5th in Sagittarius. This is the sector of your horoscope ruling joint finances and money that’s shared with others or invested/owed.
Things can emerge during an eclipse that have been hidden, which bring about unexpected change. This could be an important eclipse for you as your planet Venus is already flagging up money issues or a lack of self-value or self-worth that needs addressing.
Being a Taurus, you’re the sign associated with money and all that money represents, whether for you it’s power, pleasure, indulgence, security, wealth or freedom.
This eclipse cycle is the time to re-evaluate money and what it means to you, whether you need to earn more, pay off debt or decide what to do with your money. It’s not easy astrology but it does show where your priorities lie. And, helps reveal your options.
Gemini & Sagittarius are two of the mutable signs, flexible and adaptable. There may be a theme of duality, two jobs or a part-time occupation or money-earner. Knowledge is key to your success, especially if you’re up against the authorities or fighting for your rights. Do your research.

Mercury Retrograde
Yet, before leaping wildly into something new, it’s important to note that Mercury turns retrograde this month on the 18th and only turns direct on July 12th.
As your planet Venus is in Mercury’s star sign, Gemini, the two factors are linked. You may need to wait longer to get new plans or ideas moving.
Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer and your communication sector. Therefore, this could be a double whammy of communication chaos for you.
Certainly, you’re wise to get important correspondence backed up and double-check forms and applications before Mercury swings into reverse mode on the 18th. A key feature of Mercury retrograde is not to take anything for granted. Check and re-check that things are progressing, even if it’s slow progress.
Mercury retrograde is a classic period to kick back and do less not more. Take yourself out of your everyday environment, shift your perspective and take a fresh look at life. Know your allies and get the right people on your side.
In addition, talk things through and express your feelings, even if answers don’t come easily. When Mercury’s on go slow, there can be misunderstandings or mis-truths. Don’t believe everything you hear and be open-minded.
One the best ways to use the Mercury retrograde phase is to take a holiday or pilgrimage. You may find that you can’t get to the place you want this month but you discover that where you end up is where you were meant to be all along.
Solar Eclipse
The New Moon on the 21st, the day of the Solstice is a Solar Eclipse and falls at 0 degrees Cancer. Cancer rules your siblings and neighbours, your local community.
This could be a key period for one or more of these relationships in your life. Eclipses bring change and shift the dynamics. If a community centre’s under threat, for example, consider how you can play a pivotal role.
If you’re worried about a sibling or neighbour, act out of kindness. Not everyone’s behaviour is going to be impeccable this month but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a role model for others.
The Cancer/Capricorn eclipse cycle began in July 2018 and completes next month, July 2020. For you, it’s been about life close to home, changes around commuting, communication, community.
Yet, it’s also been about study & education, learning & knowledge, travel too. Make time to consider what you’ve learned and acknowledge where more change may be imminent.
The Jupiter/Pluto conjunction on the 30th could be relevant in this respect. You either decide to take a risk & book a trip, holiday or course. Or alternatively, you let go of your plans. The Jupiter/Pluto combination is extreme, a similar theme to the eclipses.
