Taurus Horoscope March 2025
Venus Retrograde
This is an important month for you because, for the first time since July 2023, your ruling planet Venus turns retrograde. This is when a planet gives the illusion of moving backward and Venus will retreat through the zodiac from March 2nd until April 13th.
So what does this mean? Firstly, when a personal planet turns retrograde it turns your attention inward. There’s less emphasis on taking action and more focus on inner growth. It’s a good period for reflection, to reassess or review your life and give yourself a break if you want or need some catch up time.
You may want to turn away or pull back from someone or something in your life. This might be a very obvious U-turn especially if you’ve recently put a lot of energy, passion and ambition into one specific area or person. You’re ready to change the dynamics of your situation.
What happens during the retrograde phase is that Venus changes from an evening star to a morning star and the important date is the 23rd when the Sun and Venus are side by side. You may decide to change from being a night owl to a morning lark, for example. Or you recognise that you need to go within in order to heal, cleanse and release emotion.
However this plays out for you personally, think of this month as a time of retreat rather than dynamic action. True, Venus is in fire sign Aries but Aries rules a hidden sector of your horoscope. Perhaps, you’re behind the scenes, taking a backseat role. Aries rules secrets and confidences too.
View this period as a time of preparation, whether you’re studying, resting or you’re involved in research. You could develop a fascination with the past during this retrograde phase.
Love too has a hidden theme with Venus on go slow. Therefore, you’re wise not to rush into love or money decisions. You could have a secret crush on someone or be involved in a private affair.
Lunar Eclipse
This doesn’t mean it’s a month to go it alone. In fact, there’s strong influence now on the people sectors of your chart. Action planet Mars is moving forward again in Cancer and your communication and community sector. Plus, the Sun is in Pisces up until the 20th, the star sign which rules friends and group activities in your horoscope.
You may need a strong support network at times. Or there may be a specific reason why you want to turn to your friends or confide in someone close. Throughout March, Neptune is strong in Pisces and this can be both caring and compassionate.
On the 14th, there’s a powerful Lunar Eclipse cutting across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac and this highlights the social axis of your horoscope. It’s about your friends, also your involvement with society, politics, community or humanitarian goals.
Plus, it’s the things you give birth to, i.e. your creative urges. This sector of your horoscope includes children, lovers, creative projects, your gifts and talents. These areas of your life could be shifting and changing as new lessons or learnings emerge.
It is wise however to keep your earth sign common sense intact especially if you feel that one person in particular isn’t telling you the whole truth or leading you on. Events on or around the Lunar Eclipse could reveal more.
Mercury Retrograde
Being a Taurus, you have an introvert side to your nature. And there may be more than one reason why you want to hide away or you need to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of life this month.
Venus retrograde in Aries is joined by talk planet Mercury turning retrograde in Aries on the 15th. This means that both planets are encouraging you to turn inwards for answers, to listen to your inner voice and practise self-love.
Communication planet Mercury will remain on go slow until April 7th. There’s a stop-start feel to the current astrology or should that be a start-stop. Take your time in the second half of the month and don’t rush into anything new if it doesn’t feel right.
Mercury retrograde is an excellent time for preparation, research and working behind the scenes. This fits with the emphasis on the star sign Aries, readying you for the planets’ move into Taurus, your star sign, next month.
Solar Eclipse
On the 29th, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Aries. Events on or around this eclipse could tell you more about why healing is a major theme for you.
There’s a solitary feel to Aries, the sign linked to the individual. Sometimes, events conspire against you to bring a period of solitude or alone-ness. Other times, you’re looking after people who need you.
This may bring out the caring side of your nature, your earth mother archetype. In fact, this is very possible in March because of the emphasis on Pisces, a sensitive and caring star sign. Venus returns to Pisces on the 27th followed by Mercury on the 30th. You might want to be there for a good friend in need or work alongside other people helping others.
Plus, the end of the month could prove to be extraordinary because, on the 30th, Pisces’ planet Neptune exits the last sign of the zodiac Pisces and enters the first sign of the zodiac Aries. It’s making the same pattern as the faster-moving planets Venus & Mercury and this flags up a theme of endings and beginnings. What are you releasing or letting go of?
