If you know anything about astrology, you may already know that March heralds two big astrological events: Saturn entering Pisces on the 7th and Pluto entering Aquarius on the 23rd. I’ve addressed what both these events mean for you in separate sections at the bottom of this month’s horoscope.
Pisces Season
With so much emphasis on the star sign Pisces in the month of March, this is gorgeous for wishing on a star, dreaming and allowing yourself to be immersed in fantasy, a wonderland.
As a water sign, you know all about how to engage deeply with inspiration and ideas and activities that feed your soul. In fact, this is imperative as everyday life doesn’t always cut it for you. You need something more to sustain you on a deeper level, an activity, dream or personal quest that allows your spirit to soar.
The Sun’s in Pisces until the 20th and talk planet Mercury is here from the 2nd to the 19th. Pisces rules one of the best sectors of your horoscope, representing your creative talents, your children and the things in life you ‘give birth to’. Therefore, this is an ideal time to focus on self-expression and ensure that play is a key focus of your life.
This month’s Full Moon on the 7th falls across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac and the social sectors of your horoscope. You may have a good reason to get together with friends, you could find that you’re in flow creatively and the Full Moon tends to bring matters to completion. Use the light of the moon to get serious about a hobby or leisure activity.
If you’re looking for love, someone new could come into your life this month as Pisces rules romance, love affairs and new love in your horoscope. Plus, the planet of relating Venus enters Taurus and your relationship sector on the 16th.
Therefore, love and romance could be foreground – make the most of this. The best dates for meeting someone new or being romantic with your partner are the 11th, 17th and the 30th.
Mars On The Move
Your ruling planet Mars is on the move this month. Mars entered Gemini, the star sign of communication in August 2022. This is an unusually long time for Mars to be in one star sign and one sector of your horoscope.
This is where Mars turned retrograde in the last two months of 2022 and the first half of January 2023. Gemini rules an intriguing part of your horoscopes that’s closely linked to your star sign, Scorpio. This is about the areas of life that are difficult to reach: inner communication, reading between the lines, looking below the surface of life.
Mars here can feel intense and full on. However, you’re not usually someone who shies away from the transformational side of life. Delve deep into your psyche and talk about what you’re experiencing. Mars in Gemini is the perfect talking cure.
Dare to go wherever other people fear to tread and make this your personal motto. If you work as a therapist or you have psychic abilities, your intuition and instincts may be particularly acute.
Mars moves out of its shadow phase on the 16th and the 14th to the 17th is a time to release and let go. You may not be thinking clearly during this period.
Or, perhaps you’re ready to put a personal issue or problem behind you. Whatever’s been bothering you over the last seven months, perhaps money or a financial issue, now’s the time to seek resolution, even if that means diving deep into the unknown.
Mars leaves Gemini on the 25th and enters your fellow water sign Cancer. Cancer rules travel and study in your horoscope, the bigger picture. Focus on your dreams and hopes in life if you’re seeking fulfilment. The Mars-Saturn trine aspect on the 30th is great for making a firm commitment.
Aries Season
Also this month, there’s a lot happening in fire sign Aries, the other star signed ruled by Mars. This is where you find Jupiter, the biggest and best planet, boosting the sector of your horoscope which rules work and lifestyle, health and routine.
There may be some luck or new opportunities that come your way this month, especially when Jupiter teams up with the planet of relating Venus on the 2nd and talk planet Mercury on the 28th.
Notice who or what comes into your life on or around these key dates. You may find the right person to meet your needs, whether this is about your working life or your health.
Aries’ energy begins to dominate as the month continues. Focus on team work and cordial relations while Venus is in Aries until the 16th. If you know you have a tendency to be overly independent, make an effort to learn from others and be diplomatic with your associates or colleagues. It’s a good idea to keep on the right side of everybody because you don’t know who has the most influence. Use your networks and connections well.
Then, talk planet Mercury enters Aries on the 19th. And, on the 20th, the day of the Equinox, the Sun enters Aries and the first sign of the zodiac. This is the start of the new astrological year and an ideal time to set new healthy habits and instigate new routines that help to boost your time management.
The more organised you are, the quicker you can get things done. Aries rules your work and routine, your lifestyle and health. Think holistically and work on your mind, body and soul. Do so and your efforts could pay off and fast.
The New Moon falls in Aries on the 21st, right at the start of the star sign. This would be an excellent date to sign a contract or seal a deal. You might start a new fitness routine or diet. Leap in fast because next month, eclipses fall in this same sector of your horoscope and you’re wise to get on track before then.
Saturn Enters Pisces – March 7
Saturn is the planet of rules and regulation, authority, discipline and boundaries. Since December 2017, Saturn has been in Capricorn and Aquarius, its two signs of rulership. Saturn rules with a firm hand during this period.
This month, Saturn moves into Pisces, the last star sign and an emotional water sign, which is unknown territory for the planet representing boundaries. Pisces is where the ego dissolves and you encounter the vast universe, the one-ness of life.
Will the unreal become real as fantasy, the imagination and the impossible become possible? Or, will Saturn bring structure and form to Pisces’ realm, e.g. the sea, drugs, the media, spirituality? The last time Saturn was in Pisces was 1993-1996 and this time around, Saturn remains in Pisces until 2026.
Pisces rules romance in your horoscope, also children & pregnancy, entertainment, creative projects and luck. Basically, it’s the good things in life.
On the one hand, you might find it easier to commit to a hobby or leisure activity. You might be ready to start a family, spend more time with your kids or turn a romance into a steady relationship. Wherever you find Saturn, you can be more focused as your levels of self-disicpline are heightened.
Yet, Saturn can represent an obstacle in your life and is one of the planets linked to endings. Therefore, it could be make-or-break time for an affair. Or, perhaps you have to make a tough decision regarding a child. Take responsibility for the ones you love.
Pluto Enters Aquarius – March 23
The slowest-moving planet Pluto changes star sign this month and moves into Aquarius. Pluto is the planet of power & transformation, loss & endings. The last time Pluto changed star sign was 2008 when it entered Capricorn, the sign of big business, coinciding with a financial crash.
It will take Pluto eighteen months before it’s established in Aquarius, the star sign linked to technology, equality and the collective, where it will remain until 2043.
As Pluto’s a generational planet, the themes may not resonate with you immediately. Yet, it’s helpful to note where Pluto is strong in your horoscope and where there may be a theme of transformation, loss or deep psychological change.
Pluto’s your planet. Therefore, this is likely to be a significant time for you when you’re at a crossroads in life and you’re ready to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. If you’ve experienced loss or crisis recently, Pluto is a reminder that as a Sun Scorpio, you’re one of life’s survivors.
Pluto’s move into Aquarius is taking place at the base of your horoscope. This is the sector that rules your home and family, your past and where you come from.
There may be a story around your past or upbringing that transforms who you are and the way you see yourself. You could be ready to lay the past to rest. Or, you’re ready to start over in a completely new country or location. Pluto’s theme is endings and deep psychological self-transformation.
