Virgo Vibes
Virgo season starts officially next month. Yet throughout July, your traditional ruling planet Mars is in Virgo. Therefore, there’s strong focus on this area of your horoscope and it would be a good month to think about the friends you hang out with and the groups you frequent.
When planets are in Virgo, it’s wise to work alongside other people to be more efficient and effective. Learn to delegate and outsource your work, get the right employees or people to help you and team up with others.
It can be a lonely path if you’re working on your own or you’re making big decisions with no-one else to bounce ideas off. Virgo not only rules your friends and group activities, also your social, political and humanitarian alliances. It’s about your community and how you fit into the world.
When earth signs dominate, this is about people and connections for you. If you’re a typical Scorpio, you may favour your own company but events in July are calling you out into the world.
The Bigger Picture
During July, you may have a sense of yearning for something more. This has a lot to do with the Sun in Cancer and your travel and study sector up until the 22nd. Plus, big planet Jupiter took up residence in Cancer last month and will be here for the next twelve months. Jupiter’s nature is to expand, grow and flourish.
Cancer is a fellow water sign and you often feel in your element when planets are making a positive connection to your star sign Scorpio. This can be an ideal time to day-dream and ponder.
You could be seeking meaning or purpose in life. Or you’re seeking a big vision or an opportunity to broaden your horizons. You may actively want something more from life than the everyday, so step out of your comfort zone and explore new experiences.
If you want to book a trip away or a study course, use the Full Moon on the 10th to make an intuitive decision. This Full Moon falls across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of the zodiac which is about education and learning, knowledge and teaching in your horoscope
You could be taking an exam on or around this date or be lining up some new plans or goals. Don’t worry if things don’t fall into place straightaway. Two of the slower-moving planets turn retrograde this month, the planet of dreams Neptune on the 4th and the planet of commitment Saturn on the 13th.
Both planets switch direction in Aries and your work and health sector. It may be in one of these key areas where you’re feeling held back or that things are falling apart. Try not to fall into fear or worry if this is true for you.
Know that these two planets will be back in Aries early 2026 and together they’re making a plan. February 2026 could be the turning point when a job or health issue comes good.
Work & Ambition
Also this month, the Sun moves into Leo and your career and vocation sector on the 22nd. The Sun joins talk planet Mercury here as Mercury is in Leo throughout July. When planets are in Leo, you’re being called to step up your game, so crack on if you’re ready.
This could be your chance to shine and take centre stage so you can boost your status or reputation. It’s an ideal time to show off your skills and talents. If you get asked to do a talk or give a presentation, go for it.
Be confident in your abilities and, if necessary, fake it until you make it. It’s a good time to show off and let others know what you have to offer with positive planetary activity in your career and vocation sector.
This is the theme of the New Moon which falls in Leo on the 24th, a symbol of new beginnings. Be proactive and set your intentions around work, career and your next steps.
There is a proviso, however, because communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in Leo on the 18th and will remain on go slow until August 11th. Sometimes, things don’t work out when Mercury’s in retreat and you have to play a waiting game.
However, don’t let this stop you getting ahead. Perhaps, a loss turns into a win. Or one thing doesn’t work out but opens the door for something better.
There’s power in this month’s New Moon calling you to try something new. The Sun aligns with all three modern planets encouraging you to keep saying yes to what’s unfolding and not let the past (or someone in your family) hold you back.
Also, money is under the cosmic spotlight this month for different reasons. Firstly, the planet of relating Venus moves into Gemini and your joint finance sector on the 4th where she will remain until the 31st.
Therefore, look for the right people who can help you financially and invest in people who can help you move one step closer towards your goals. This could be someone with expert advice. Or a partner who’s savvy when it comes to money and earnings.
Uranus Enters Gemini
The big news, however, is the planet of innovation and change Uranus moving into Gemini on the 7th and this is a significant shift. Money may come your way unexpectedly. Or perhaps, you receive an inheritance, a tax rebate or a major financial transaction takes place.
Admittedly, Uranus can swing one of two ways and it’s hard to predict what the planet of change may bring in your joint finance sector. Perhaps, a job comes to an end which is scary financially but could lead you to something better in the future.
Uranus will leave Gemini in November 2025 but will be back next year in April 2026. See this month as an experimental stage and use this new planetary energy to try something new. Again, work towards this key date and notice what happens on or around the 7th.
Uranus’ change of star sign is important for another reason because it’s leaving Taurus and your relationship sector where it’s been since 2018. Therefore, the 7th could be a date when people either enter or exit your life, perhaps in dramatic fashion.
The last planetary aspect that Uranus makes in Taurus is to love planet Venus on the 4th. This combination can turn your life upside down if you meet someone new.
Uranus will return to Taurus for a few months from November 2025 to April 2026 but then it’s gone. Relationships may have been a wild ride over the last seven years. Take note of any significant comings and goings in the first week of July and know that this could be a lively time for you.
Things could move swiftly when it comes to love and relationships and there’s no set scenario. Anything goes when Uranus is active and you might not be the only one making a sudden or unexpected decision.
Mercury Retrograde Do’s & Don’ts
Remember the Mercury retrograde mantra – put off the big decisions & major investments when the communication planet is on go slow from July 18th to August 11th. Here are some top tips:
- be flexible, have plans B, C & D up your sleeve
- take a step back, do less not more
- double-check everything, read the small print
- chase up old contacts, revisit the past
- use all the re-words – revise, rework, review, reconsider
- rest & retreat, take a break, go on holiday
- do your research ready to act when Mercury turns direct
