Money Matters
The Sun’s in Cancer and your joint finance sector until the 22nd and, this Cancer season, money may be a bigger topic than usual. This is because your ruling planet Jupiter took up residence here last month and will remain in your joint finance sector until June 2026.
Immediately, it looks as if finances in some shape or form are going to be top of your agenda this month, whether you’re trying to help other people or you need to attend to your own finances.
Cancer rules the sector of your horoscope that’s about savings and investment, debt and loss, inheritance and alimony, money owed and money shared. It can play out in different ways but it’s important to note that Cancer is a family and home-oriented star sign.
Therefore, this might be a time when you want to set up a savings account or you’re discussing pooling resources with the people you live with.
The Full Moon on the 10th is likely to be a pivotal date as it cuts across the Cancer-Capricorn axis of the zodiac and the financial axis of your horoscope. Full Moons are a time of completion and culmination when the light of the Moon is at its brightest. This is a time for clarity, to trust your intuition and make a key decision.
This is especially important as Mercury, one of the planets linked to the money markets, will turn retrograde on the 18th and remain on go slow until August 11th. This isn’t the best time to make a big investment or financial decision. Therefore, leap to it sooner rather than later.
Sometimes, you receive a gift or bonus when planets are in Cancer. Or perhaps, you’re the one who’s feeling flush and you want to treat someone close. Or you’re leaning into the philanthropic side of your Sagittarius nature.
It’s a good time to get the right kind of advice or support too,. Team up with other people and focus on your future security.
Adventure & New Experiences
You’re one of the fire signs and fire sign energy is strong this month. Talk planet Mercury is in Leo throughout July and the Sun moves into Leo on the 22nd. Leo rules travel and study in your horoscope. It’s wherever in life you wish to expand your horizons, dream big and learn and experience more.
The Sun’s move through Leo could bring out the hedonistic side of your Sagittarius nature when you want to embrace new experiences and live life to the full. It’s a good time to be around people who inspire you and plan some adventures together.
If travel’s on the cards, go somewhere new for a change of perspective. This is an ideal time of year to fire some Sagittarius arrows high into the air and see where they land. Plan ahead and look to 2026. Your planet Jupiter will move into Leo in July next year.
The best date for setting your intentions for the future is the 24th, when there’s a glorious New Moon in Leo, a symbol of new beginnings. This would be a good date to go on a trip or learn something new.
Admittedly, Mercury is retrograde in Leo from the 18th onwards but this may mean being flexible around travel. Double check visas and passports and allow yourself extra time if you’re travelling.
Mercury retrograde is great for kicking back and retreating from everyday life. It would be a good Mercury retrograde phase for going back to a country or place you’ve visited in the past.
Virgo Vibes
Action planet Mars is giving off a different energy as it’s in Virgo throughout July and your career and vocation sector. Virgo is one of the earth signs linked to work and the more serious of life. With all that’s going on in July, it’s a top month to ensure you have a healthy work/life balance.
Whether you have a new work contract, you’re taking on a promotion or you’re looking for a job, this is where you’re wise to be proactive. Get busy and create a new routine for yourself. Virgo favours holistic health.
Virgo rules writing too, so you may be working on a book, blog or media column. Retrograde phases are great for losing yourself in a creative project and immersing yourself in what you love.
There’s always a proviso with planets in earth signs and it’s about keeping your feet on the ground. Read the small print if you’re involved in a big deal or promotion. Don’t take on too much, otherwise you could become overwhelmed. Balance realistic goals with idealistic dreams and ensure you have a way to deliver what you promise. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
This is important because two other planets turn retrograde this month, the planet of dreams Neptune on the 4th and the planet of discipline Saturn on the 13th. Both planets are in Aries and your creativity sector. Perhaps, you’re having to switch things around as your priorities change and you need to clear some space in your diary.
Know that when planets are retrograde, things don’t always go according to plan. Sometimes, you have to be patient and you end up waiting for someone else to make a decision. Be aware of this and plan accordingly.
Love & Romance
July could be a hot month for romance and there’s more than one reason why. Firstly, love planet Venus is in Gemini and your relationship sector from the 4th to the 31st.
Venus only graces your opposite star sign once a year so make the most of it. The stand-out dates for love are the 6th & 7th when Venus’ power is strong. The date to be wary of is the 23rd when the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, clash. Yet, wherever your passions lie this month, dive in deep.
Uranus Enters Gemini
The big news, however, is wild-card Uranus moving into Gemini on the 7th. This is a major planetary shift as Uranus only changes star sign once every seven years.
You’ve had the unpredictable planet Uranus in Taurus and your work and health sector since 2018. Uranus hasn’t completely finished its journey though Taurus as it will be back from November 2025 to April 2026.
If you’ve been working freelance, job-hopping or your health has been up and down, this may have a lot to do with Uranus in Taurus. This month, as Uranus moves on, it teams up with lovely Venus in Taurus on the 4th. Both planets are on the verge of leaving your work and health sector and this could deliver a gift on the way out.
Uranus is the planet linked to twists and turns, when things happen fast. Therefore, once Uranus moves into Gemini on the 7th, a relationship could take off like a rocket. Alternatively, a relationship could end suddenly as Uranus tends to turn things upside-down.
Note that Uranus is linked to all things alternative. Therefore, anything goes when it comes to love. You might choose an unconventional or younger partner or be ready to experiment with an exciting love life. Freedom is Uranus’ byword. Certainly, there’s an ‘anything goes’ feel to Uranus moving through your relationship sector so expect the unexpected and don’t hold on tight.
This isn’t only about love, however, but all your significant one-to-ones. Notice who turns up out of the blue in the first week of July. This person could help you out in ways that you could never have imagined previously.

- rest & retreat, take a break, go on holiday
