Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
The Sun is in Leo and the star sign at the peak of your horoscope until the 23rd. Talk planet Mercury is here from the 9th to the 25th and big planet Jupiter has taken up residence in Leo where it will remain until the middle of next year. This is where there’s a lot going on.
Leo rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation. It’s linked to your future path and calls you out into the world. You could be moving up the career ladder or be setting up your own business. You might be out and about within society, helping others and be committed to your beliefs, your values and your desire to bring about change.
Plus, on the 12th, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Leo which is part of the new eclipse cycle cutting across the star signs Leo and Aquarius. This eclipse cycle began in February 2026 and will last until January 2028. It’s often a pivotal couple of years when the eclipses cut across the foundations of your horoscope.
Sometimes, you change job or status. Or you move home or your family situation changes significantly. What’s important about this eclipse cycle is that the majority of the eclipses are New Moon Solar Eclipses like the one on the 12th. This suggests accelerated growth and things happening quickly.
Look out for any new opportunity which comes your way on or around the eclipse as this could open a door for you. Leo’s the performer of the zodiac who likes to take centre stage.
Plus, three days after the eclipse, there’s a glorious Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Leo on the 15th. The two planets are linked to education and travel. Therefore, it’s an ideal weekend to expand your horizons. Perhaps, your work goes global or you step into a teaching role.
Jupiter’s active again at the end of the month on the 31st when Jupiter in Leo aligns with Saturn in Aries and your work and health sector. This too feels definitive and a positive time to commit to a job or sign a contract. Both Jupiter and Saturn are leader planets, encouraging you to play big and up your game.
Venus Libra
Yet, there may be times this month when you need more rest or relaxation. Perhaps, you’re busy with a personal project or you’re looking after your health. This has a lot to do with the planet Venus moving into Libra and the most hidden sector of your horoscope on the 6th. This is where Venus will remain until September 10.
This is about inner work for you and turning your attention to your personal development and nourishing your spirit and soul. You may discover an opportunity to enrich your inner life. You could experience a spiritual awakening or be aware of the wheel of fortune and karma stepping in.
At the very least, give yourself time and space to be quiet and reflective. Tap into your inner voice and bring your deep sense of knowingness to what’s right for you moving forward. Sometimes, Venus in this sector of your horoscope can be about a guardian angel, a helper or protector.
Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
As August continues, there’s another shift towards the end of the month. This is when you may be pulled out into the world. You may be called towards being more social or more active within society once the Sun enters Virgo and your friendship and group sector on the 23rd. Talk planet Mercury is here too from the 25th onwards.
You may have a strong drive to make new friends, join a group, club or society or become more involved with society as a whole. Be there for your friends and ask for help and advice in return. Team up with other people to benefit one another and create mutually supportive friendships in your life.
A stand-out date is the 27th when there’s a Sun-Mercury cazimi conjunction in Virgo. This could prove special for a friendship or group encounter. Traditionally, the Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction is an excellent date to line up an important meeting or negotiation.
However, this time around, life might feel dramatic for your friendships or group interactions. This is because there’s an eclipse taking place the following day, on the 28th. Eclipses often bring what’s hidden to light and they’re linked to secrets and the unexpected.
This is a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 28th which highlights your friends and group activities, society and world events, also children, creativity and lovers.
These are the potential areas of drama or accelerated growth, where change may happen and fast. This could coincide with a social event or big occasion. Or the opposite and a major event gets cancelled or postponed.
You might need to step in to help a friend, group, child or lover. Things could change quickly during eclipse season so be flexible and get ready to take action if necessary.
This eclipse is part of the Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle which began in September 2024 and completes in February 2027. The alliances you make or the groups you move on from could be pivotal in your life during this period.
In addition, you’re wise to keep close tabs on money as wild-card Uranus is involved in the eclipse picture. Uranus is in Gemini and your joint finance sector. Be wary of mixing money and friendship on the 28th as Uranus is square to the Sun, Mercury and the Moon.
Check that a social event or group activity isn’t going to cost you the earth and rein in your impulsive nature on or around the eclipse. Keep close tabs on money matters and don’t take unnecessary financial risks.
Mars’ Power
Talk planet Mercury leaves water sign Cancer on the 9th where it’s been for an unusually long time since early June. However, two days later, your ruling planet Mars picks up the Cancer baton and will remain here until the end of September.
Cancer rules travel and study in your horoscope, the bigger picture. It’s an ideal time to focus on your dreams and hopes in life. Plus, this may be linked to events which began in the middle of last year. This is because expansive Jupiter entered Cancer in June 2025 and since then, there’s been at least one planet in this sector of your horoscope.
Mars is linked to drive, speed and assertive behaviour. It can help you be proactive and get things moving. If you’ve had a big dream to travel or study, this is when your plans could take off in style.

It’s a double whammy of eclipses this month. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not in control.
- Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can aim to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes and wheel of destiny – they often act as a signpost or turning point.
