Libra Season
This is Libra season, while the Sun’s in Libra until the 23rd. Libra rules friends and group activities in your horoscope and Libra is the mediator of the zodiac. Work at your people skills and use charm and diplomacy to win others over.
Love planet Venus returns to Libra on the 25th, flagging up a theme of love and friendship. This all adds up to making new connections in life. Be around friends who inspire you, promote you, uplift you and vice versa. Use your people skills to the max and charm your way into a new group, network or relationship.
The New Moon falls on the 10th, also lighting up the star sign Libra. This would be an ideal date to join in with a group event or reach out to a good friend. Consider the balance in your friendships and be around people where give and take are in equal measure.
One of the best dates for you this month is the 15th when the Sun in Libra aligns with your ruling planet Jupiter in Leo and your travel and study sector. The right friendship could take you far.
Scorpio Season
Scorpio season begins officially on the 23rd when the Sun moves into Scorpio. This is often a key period of preparation getting ready for the Sun’s move into your star sign Sagittarius one month later.
However, this month, the Scorpio influence takes over the whole of October for a couple of reasons. Firstly, talk planet Mercury is in Scorpio throughout the month. Secondly, the planet of relating Venus is in Scorpio and the most hidden sector of your horoscope, up until the 25th.
Scorpio is the star sign before Sagittarius. Therefore, you may be dealing with secrets or be turning your focus to your inner life. Scorpio represents hidden wisdom and knowledge, ideal for research, psychic abilities or spiritual practise.
You may be aware of the passing of the seasons and a shift in energy. Perhaps, you want more solitude and time alone. Sometimes, when planets are in Scorpio, you’re resting after an illness or you’re caring for others.
Mars’ Power
There’s another planet to take note of this month which is Mars, the planet of active, drive and ambition. Mars joins your ruler Jupiter in fire sign Leo this month, your travel and study sector.
This is about the bigger picture in life, your beliefs and where you find meaning and purpose. You may feel more motivated to get things done when Mars is in Leo and want to play an active role within society or the world.
Alternatively, you could step into an activist role but this might not make you popular. Perhaps, you’re involved with the unions or you’re fighting for other people’s rights.
A major clash takes place on the 3rd when Mars in Leo opposes power planet Pluto in Aquarius and your community sector. You might be up against the authorities on this date and it’s wise to tread carefully as Pluto’s a strong opponent. Note that Aquarius rules your siblings, relatives and neighbours too. It’s activating your community sector.
Plus, the planets in Scorpio are reactivating this conflict throughout October. Mercury joins in on the 2nd & 30th, Venus is active on the 10th & 20th and the Sun is square Pluto in Aquarius on the day of the Full Moon in Taurus, the 26th.
This adds up to a lot of opposition or differing opinions. You could be taking part in a protest that’s grabbing your full attention. Or there’s an ongoing conflict or crisis in your life.
If you’re a typical Sagittarius, you don’t hold back and you’re sometimes accused of being tactless or blunt. Words are weapons right now so be thoughtful about what you say and do. Scorpio is a mute water sign which favours silence over attack.
Venus & Mercury Retrograde
Finally this month, two planets turn retrograde, the planet of relating Venus on the 3rd and talk planet Mercury on the 24th. Both planets switch direction in Scorpio and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. And, both planets will turn direct close to one another, Mercury on November 13 & Venus on November 14.
There are similar themes playing out here, especially around secrecy, privacy and keeping things to yourself. Play your cards close to your chest this month and up until mid-November.
When a personal planet turns retrograde, it turns your attention inward. There’s less emphasis on taking action and more focus on inner growth. Therefore, it’s a positive period for reflection, a time to reassess or review your life and give yourself a break if you want or need some catch up time.
You may want to turn away or pull back from someone or something in your life. This might be a very obvious U-turn especially if you’ve recently put a lot of energy, passion and ambition into one specific area or person. You’re ready to change the dynamics of your situation.
However this plays out for you personally, think of this month as a time of retreat rather than dynamic action. Perhaps, you’re behind the scenes, taking a backseat role. View this as a period of preparation, whether you’re studying, resting or you’re involved in research. You could develop a fascination with the past during this double retrograde phase.
Love too has a hidden theme with Venus on go slow. Therefore, you’re wise not to rush into love or money decisions. You could have a secret crush on someone or be involved in a private affair. If so, a relationship could remain secret or confidential for some time.
