Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
As August begins, the star sign of the moment is Leo which rules your work and health sector. The Sun is in Leo until the 23rd and talk planet Mercury joins the Sun in Leo from the 9th to the 25th. Plus, your traditional ruling planet Jupiter has now taken up residence in Leo where it will remain until the middle of next year.
Leo is about the things you do in life on a daily basis, being practical and getting organised. Therefore, you could be creating new systems this month to help yourself or other people.
It’s a positive time to take good care of your body and prioritise your health, fitness and well-being. You may even be making a decision to work in one of these key areas moving forward.
Plus, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th. This is part of the eclipse cycle which began in February 2026 and will continue until January 2028. These eclipses are going to fall in the star signs Leo and Aquarius. And, most of these eclipses are going to be Solar Eclipses, i.e. turbo-powered New Moons.
This is about your lifestyle and routine, finding work that fulfils you and taking good care of your health and caring for others. Plus, there’s a spiritual aspect to this axis encouraging you to seek where trust and faith lie.
During the Solar Eclipse, consider what you’re gearing up to begin when it comes to your work and health. Perhaps, a new job or direction in life which is more in tune with your personal goals.
Three days after the eclipse, on the 15th, there’s a glorious Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Leo. These two planets are linked to education and communication. It might be a good weekend to attend a workshop or step into a teaching role. Perhaps, you’re starting a new job or business, which may see you working more frequently at the weekends.
Jupiter’s in action again at the end of the month when there’s a powerful trine aspect between Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Aries on the 31st. This links your work and money sectors and it could prove to be a successful date for you. Perhaps, a new job begins which brings in a steady income. Or you’re ready to commit to a new course of fitness or invest in your health.
Venus Libra
Money is under the cosmic spotlight when the planet of relating Venus moves into air sign Libra and your joint finance sector on the 6th. This is where Venus will remain until September 10.
This suggests it’s a positive time to work alongside other people to improve your finances. Aim for balance and harmony when it comes to money and share what you have equally. The more you’re in flow with the natural rhythm of the universe, the more you may attract abundance into your life.
Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
August could turn out to be one of the most important months of the year for you as there’s a powerful Lunar Eclipse in Pisces taking place on the 28th which lights up your star sign Pisces and your opposite star sign Virgo. This links back to events in March when there was a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo.
Plus, it’s not just the eclipses lighting up your opposite star sign. There’s a lot going on here. Firstly, it’s Virgo season later in August, which means the Sun is shining opposite you in the zodiac from the 23rd onwards. And, talk planet Mercury joins the Sun in Virgo on the 25th.
This means that, as the month progresses, other people are going to become more important in your life. Therefore, you’re wise to work at your relationships and your business partnerships.
A stand-out date is the 27th when there’s a magical cazimi conjunction between the Sun and Mercury in Virgo. Listen out for synchronicities or do something special with the one you love. Love could flourish under these stars. Or you catch someone’s eye.
Yet, the following day, the 28th, brings the Lunar Eclipse, a symbol of endings and beginnings. Therefore, don’t rush into things as the month comes to a close.
Eclipses are game-changers and bring what’s hidden to light. Sometimes, they coincide with dramatic events or the unexpected which is why they’re linked to the highs and lows of life, a roller-coaster ride.
This is important for you regarding your one-to-one relationships, both personal and professional. This could be a time when you’re getting hitched or forming a business partnership. Alternatively, you’re ready to move on and break free from a relationship or joint venture that’s no longer working for you.
The Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle began in September 2024 and will complete in February 2027 and this could be a transformative period in your life. This eclipse cycle highlights relationships, also your identity and who you are.
Also, there’s another planet pulled into the eclipse pattern, wild-card Uranus. On the 28th, the day of the eclipse, Uranus in Gemini and your home and family sector is square to the Sun, Mercury and the Moon. Perhaps, changes at home or within your family impact yourself or your relationships.
You could change your mind about a property deal. Or you realise that you don’t have as much support from loved ones as you had hoped. This may mean that you’re not the one in control. Someone else may have the upper hand and it’s their decisions which means your life has to change.
If you’re in a relationship or married, it could be events in your partner’s life that are the reason why you need to reorient your compass moving forward.
It’s important that you engage your heart and your head before leaping in. Be overly impulsive and this could work against you. Alternatively, the unexpected occurs and life steps in to lead you in a new direction.
Mars’ Power
Talk planet Mercury finally leaves your fellow water sign Cancer on the 9th where it’s been for an unusually long time since early June. Mercury hands the Cancer baton to action planet Mars which moves into your fellow water sign Cancer on the 11th. Mars will remain in Cancer until the end of September.
This highlights children, romance and all the good things in life. Whatever you’ve been actively searching for in these key areas may materialise over the next couple of months.
You may discover that your creativity opens up or you have more time to give to a hobby or leisure activity. This might be a welcome diversion from what’s happening in your personal life.
Plus, this could be linked back to events which began in June 2025. This is when your ruling planet Jupiter first moved into Cancer. Since then, there’s always been at least one planet in this sector of your horoscope.
Therefore, use Mars’ courage, drive and speed to push things through and get things moving, wherever in your life you would like to see more action. This could be linked to romance and passion, children and pregnancy or a creative project.
