Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
Your fellow fire sign Leo is the star sign of the moment. The Sun remains in Leo until the 23rd, communication planet Mercury joins the Leo party from the 9th to 25th and big planet Jupiter has now taken up residence in Leo where it will remain until the middle of next year.

Leo rules all the good things in your life like romance, children and pregnancy, creativity, entertainment, self-expression and fun. When planets are in Leo, this urges you to do more of what you love and prioritise play over work.
Plus, there’s a Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th, a turbo-powered New Moon. This is part of the eclipse cycle which began in February 2026 and will continue until January 2028. Nearly all the eclipses are Solar, i.e. linked to the New Moon.
This suggests that the areas of accelerated growth are going to be your social life, your interaction with groups and politics, romance, children and pregnancy, entertainment and doing more of what you love. Leo’s a lucky star sign for you so enter a competition and be in to win.

Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
August could get more confusing later on. The main areas where you’re wise to take the pace slow are your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health. These areas are ruled by the earth sign Virgo and this is where there’s possible change or distraction in the last week of the month.
The Sun enters Virgo on the 23rd followed by communication planet Mercury on the 25th. This is great for organisation, systems and list-making. Plus, there’s a Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction on the 27th as Mercury changes from being a morning star to an evening star.
Traditionally, this is a good time for a meeting, heart-to-heart or interview. However, this time around, the Sun/Mercury conjunction falls close to the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 28th. In your horoscope, the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac is about devotion and duty, ritual and daily habits.
Eclipses are game changers as they bring a new dimension, a fresh perspective and are often linked to dramatic events. Therefore, if you’re looking for a job or a change at work, use the eclipse energy to take advantage of a shifting situation. During a Lunar Eclipse, sometimes one person wins and another person loses. Therefore, if you play your cards well, you can end up on the winning team.
Yet, during an eclipse phase, you often need to close a door on the past before you can start over. On the 9th, communication planet Mercury finally leaves Cancer where it’s been for an unusually long time since early June. However, this isn’t the end of the emphasis on the star sign Cancer as your ruling planet Mars picks up the Cancer baton on the 11th where it will remain until the end of September.
Cancer is the star sign at the base of your horoscope ruling your home and family, your past and where you come from.
