Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
Leo is the star sign of the moment as it’s your birthday month up until the 23rd. This means that the Sun is moving through Leo but it’s not only the planetary body in your star sign.
Talk planet Mercury is in Leo from the 9th to the 25th and big planet Jupiter is in Leo until the middle of next year. It’s all going on in your personal sector.
This turns the focus towards yourself and your personal goals and aims. This is about being out in the world and a reminder that individual action makes a difference. Consider where it’s important for you to step up or put yourself first.
The current astrology is about the future, not only your own concerns but what’s happening out in the world. You may have a unique role to play moving forward.
Notice where you can shine brightly as it’s your turn under the cosmic spotlight. Perhaps, you’re becoming a performer or taking centre stage somewhere in your life.
In addition, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th. This is significant for you and this eclipse is part of the eclipse cycle which began in February 2026 and will continue until January 2028.
The areas of accelerated growth are your relationships and one-to-ones, also your personal goals and aims, your image, identity and how other people see you. Plus, the majority of eclipses in this cycle are Solar Eclipses, i.e. turbo-powered New Moons. This indicates that things could happen fast.
Consider where in life you’re gearing up to be more visible and notice what new opportunities come into your life either on or just after the eclipse.
Three days after the eclipse, on the 15th, there’s a glorious Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Leo. Both planets are linked to travel and education. Perhaps, you’re stepping into a teaching role or you’re attending a workshop or talk. What you hear or read could inspire you and be the start of moving your life in a new direction.
Jupiter in Leo is active at the end of the month as well, when it makes a powerful trine aspect with Saturn in Aries on the 31st. This combination is great for combining your vision with a sense of purpose. Perhaps, you’re considering a move abroad or you’re signing up to a long-term course to gain new qualifications. Be committed to yourself and your long-term path in life.
Venus Libra
On the 6th, the planet of relating Venus moves into air sign Libra where it remains until September 10th. Libra is your communication sector and this means it’s important to reach out to other people, to connect, talk and brainstorm new ideas.
Libra rules siblings and neighbours in your horoscope, also your local community. These are the key areas of your life where Venus is promising smooth relations. It’s positive astrology for writing and speaking, podcasting and teaching. Libra is the diplomat, mediator and go-between.
It’s important that you know who your allies are this month and that you’re part of a loving community. And, if you’re looking for love, ask for an introduction via a friend on the 12th or 17th.
Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
The latter part of the month is a positive time to focus on finances and what money means to you. This is because your ruler the Sun enters earth sign Virgo and your personal money sector on the 23rd, an ideal time to balance the books, be grateful for what you have and not waste precious resources. Reap your harvest.
The other planet in Virgo is communication planet Mercury which joins the Sun here on the 25th. Mercury in Virgo is ideal for dealing with facts and figures and doing your sums.
The Sun and Mercury come together in a powerful cazimi conjunction in Virgo on the 27th. Traditionally, this is an ideal time for a meeting or negotiation. However, this month, there’s a powerful Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 28th, the following day.
Eclipses are often important events for you because they involve your ruler the Sun in relationship with the Moon. What’s hidden comes to light when eclipses take place. They coincide with dramatic events or the unexpected, the things in life you didn’t see coming.
This eclipse cuts across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac and your financial sectors. Virgo’s your personal money sector while Pisces rules joint finances and all kinds of money transactions.
This suggests it’s here where change is likely whether you’re in the process of negotiating a financial settlement, you’re reviewing your finances or your earnings or your outgoings are about to change significantly.
This is nearing the end of a two year chapter when your money and the money you share with others has been undergoing significant change. The Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle began in September 2024 and will end in February 2027.
Eclipses can symbolise things coming to an end so consider what this may mean for you. There’s a shadowy feel to eclipses, so be wary of getting involved in anything underhand. Money is one area of your life that could prove contentious but sex, power and taboo issues are also under the cosmic spotlight.
As eclipses often coincide with change, you might be shifting your money mindset or want to do things differently regarding your future security and your financial situation.
There is a proviso this month, however, because wild-card Uranus is square to the Sun, Mercury and the Moon on the day of the eclipse, the 28th. Uranus is the planet of change and a restless influence.
This could flag up a desire for freedom and you might be in the mood to take a financial risk or throw caution to the winds where money’s concerned. However, both eclipses and Uranus often coincide with unexpected events, a surprise that comes your way.
The best advice when Uranus is active is to engage your head and your heart before leaping in. Perhaps, you’re wise to put off a last-minute deal until you’ve had a chance to think things through carefully.
Mars’ Power
Talk planet Mercury finally leaves water sign Cancer on the 9th where it’s been for an unusually long time since early June. However, action planet Mars is picking up the Cancer baton and moves into the most hidden sector of your horoscope on the 11th.
Mars will remain in Cancer until the end of September. Notice whether your priorities in life are shifting and you want to spend more time alone or take a step back from an active role within society.
There’s been strong emphasis on the star sign Cancer since June 2025 when expansive Jupiter first moved into the star sign before yours. Therefore, Mars could be finishing what you started fourteen months ago. This could be linked to a study project, your spiritual path or inner work.
Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts
It’s a double whammy of eclipses this month. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not in control.
- Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can aim to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes and wheel of destiny – they often act as a signpost or turning point.
