This weekend, many people around the world would traditionally be celebrating Easter or Passover with friends and family.
With many lockdown restrictions still in place around the world, some of us may have to find new ways to connect with loved ones. I, for one, will ensure there’s plenty of chocolate to eat 🙂
The dates of these important events change every year but do you know why? This is determined by the cycle of the moon and specificially the Full Moon. Easter and Passover always fall on the first Sunday after the first Full Moon following the Spring Equinox.
This year the Equinox fell on March 20th and the first Full Moon after the Equinox took place on March 28th. Thus, Easter Sunday falls this Sunday April 4th.
The seasons and cycles of the Sun & Moon are such an integral part of our lives here on earth reminding us of the ongoing, continual cycles of nature, life, death, rebirth & renewal.
Wishing you a peaceful & uplifting Easter weekend.
