Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
As August begins, fire sign Leo is the star sign of the moment. The Sun is in Leo until the 23rd and talk planet Mercury is in Leo from the 9th to the 25th. Plus expansive Jupiter has now taken up residence in Leo and one of your money sectors. This is where Jupiter will remain until the middle of next year.
Leo rules all forms of finances in your horoscope, including savings, loans, debt, investments, mortgages, taxes, etc. It might not only be one area of finance under the cosmic spotlight and it’s a time when contracts and negotiations around money are likely to be foreground.
Also this month, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th, a turbo-powered New Moon. This eclipse is part of the eclipse cycle which cuts across the Leo/Aquarius axis of the zodiac and your money sector. The financial axis of your horoscope is going to be under the cosmic spotlight moving forward.
This is because this eclipse cycle began in February 2026 and will continue until January 2028. This indicates that there may be accelerated growth around finances, money and investments moving forward. It’s not a steady and stable picture by any means and, at times, you may sense that you’re on a roller-coaster ride.
However, this Solar Eclipse doesn’t interact with other planets which could indicate a smooth transition. Plus, three days after the eclipse, on the 15th, there’s a glorious Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Leo. This would be great for an important meeting, conversation or heart-to-heart around money. Negotiate well.
Then, Jupiter in Leo is in a powerful trine aspect to your ruling planet Saturn in Aries on the 31st. Aries is your home and family sector and this combination could be definitive for a property move or improving family finances. There might be a link to your past which helps you secure yours and your family’s financial future.
Venus Libra
The planet of relating Venus moves into the star sign Libra on the 6th ruling your career and vocation. This is where Venus will remain until September 10. This is encouraging you to focus your gaze on your future path. And, it’s another nod towards this being a pivotal month for money and work.
Use your connections to pursue your career goals or vocational dreams. Planets in Libra are a reminder that you’re one of the cardinal signs and you need a mountain to climb. Get the right people on your side and you can go far.
Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
The Sun enters your fellow earth sign Virgo on the 23rd. Plus, talk planet Mercury joins the Sun in this same sector of your horoscope on the 25th. Traditionally, this is a time when you’re keen to travel and broaden your horizons.
Virgo rules study, learning and knowledge in your horoscope and any activity which sources you and brings meaning to your life. You may be keen to study something new or be on a spiritual path. Or you’re embracing a new religion or faith.
When planets are in Virgo, you want something more from life than the everyday. You might be exploring new beliefs or your philosophy on life. You could be interested in the workings of the mind or the mysteries of the world. Make a determined effort to expand your mind, body and soul.
The 27th could be a stand-out date when there’s a Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction in Virgo. Listen out for news or insights which can help you make a snap decision moving forward.
Traditionally, the Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction is a positive date for meetings, conversations or heart-to-hearts. However, this month, there’s some roller-coaster planetary activity as an eclipse takes place on the 28th.
Eclipses highlight the unexpected or a sudden change of plan. It’s a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 28th and this is part of the Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle which began in September 2024 and completes in February 2027. These eclipses are cutting across the axis of your horoscope which represents education, travel and how you engage with the world.
Eclipses throw up a hidden theme and it’s important to be flexible and keep your plans open. This highlights schools and teaching, learning and knowledge in your horoscope. Pisces rules siblings, neighbours and your local community, while the opposite star sign Virgo rules travel, study and foreign connections.
Some hopes or dreams may have to be shelved or postponed at the end of the month and it’s wise to be realistic about what you can and can’t achieve. Yet, other new goals and dreams could emerge in their place. Events could turn on the flick of a dime as the wheel of fortune leads you in a new direction.
Also, this eclipse is tied into wild-card Uranus which is square to the Sun, Mercury and the Moon on the day of the eclipse, the 28th. Uranus is currently in Gemini and your work and health sector. Perhaps, these are the reasons why you can’t expand your world towards the end of August.

Mars’ Power
There’s another big shift this month involving action planet Mars. On the 11th, Mars picks up the Cancer baton and moves into your opposite star sign where it will remain until the end of September. This turns your attention towards your one-to-ones, both personal and professional.
This area of your life/horoscope has been unusually active for a long time. Firstly, communication planet Mercury moved into Cancer early June and only left this sector this month on the 9th. Plus, expansive Jupiter first moved into Cancer in June 2025 and there’s always been at least one planet here since then.

- Know that eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes and wheel of destiny – they often act as a signpost or turning point.
