Taurus Horoscope August 2026
Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
The Sun is in Leo up until the 23rd and is joined by talk planet Mercury in Leo from the 9th to the 25th. Leo is the star sign linked to your home and family, your past and where you come from. And, this is where you have big planet Jupiter until the middle of next year.
Perhaps, life’s busy at home or you’re catching up with family members. Alternatively, you might be undertaking a renovation project or need to find somewhere new to live. Whatever’s going on for you, it’s likely to be lively and fun.
In addition, there’s a Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th, the second eclipse in the Leo/Aquarius eclipse cycle which began in February 2026. This is always an important eclipse cycle for you and can be a time when you change jobs, move home or your family situation changes.
Most of the eclipses in this cycle are Solar Eclipses, i.e. turbo-powered New Moons which means that things can happen fast. This eclipse cycle will continue until January 2028.
If you want to push things forward at home, with your family or with a property deal, act just after the Solar Eclipse. Plus, Leo is where you find expansive Jupiter and there’s a clever Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Leo on the 15th.
Both planets are linked to travel and education. Perhaps, you’re considering a move abroad or change of residence. Or there’s a link between your home and business, e.g. running a retreat centre or starting a B&B business.
Jupiter’s active again at the end of the month when there’s a powerful trine aspect between Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Aries on the 31st. This combination is visionary but practical which suits your earth sign nature. Trust your instincts and make things happen. You might be on a trip down memory lane. Or you’re opening your doors to people or children who need extra care and assistance.
Venus Libra
Your ruling planet Venus moves into air sign Libra on the 6th where she will remain until September 10. This means it’s wise to prioritise peace, balance and harmony in your life.
This is especially true if events this month are chaotic or bring the unexpected. Focus on your health and well-being and adopt the mantra ‘all things in moderation’. Being of service to others and daily rituals are the touchstones to a well-lived life.
Seek balance in your life, especially around your work and routine, your lifestyle and health. Whatever else is happening, try to focus on your life in the here and now and take one day at time. Do the best you can with what you have. In your horoscope, Libra is about being of service to others. Volunteering or caring for other people could offer a great sense of fulfilment.
Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
There’s strong earth sign activity in the last week of the month when the Sun enters Virgo on the 23rd followed by talk planet Mercury on the 25th.
Virgo rules a fun sector of your horoscope. This would be an ideal time to hang out with your kids or grandchildren. Prioritise pleasure and good times. Actively practise gratitude and appreciate your loved ones and all the good things in your life.
The 27th could be a peak date for fun and romance when there’s a Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction in Virgo. Traditionally, this is a positive time for insights and heart-to-hearts.
However, on the 28th, there’s a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces which highlights the social axis of your horoscope. It’s about your friends and group activities. Also, your involvement within society, politics, community or humanitarian goals.
Plus, it’s the things you give birth to, i.e. your creative urges. This includes your children, your lovers, your creative projects, your skills and talents. These areas of your life could be shifting and changing as new lessons or learnings emerge. Eclipses symbolise a time of highs and lows when you have to change your expectations or alter the way you do things normally.
The Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle began in September 2024 and continues until February 2027. Don’t rush into anything new during the eclipse, especially the areas mentioned above. Instead take your time, explore your options and be flexible. If new people appear in your life, try to go with the flow and change your routine accordingly.
Money could be an issue too, as unpredictable Uranus in Gemini and your personal money sector is involved in the eclipse picture. Uranus is square to the Sun, Mercury and the Moon on the 28th.
Perhaps, this is encouraging you to enjoy yourself on the cheap. Be wary of over-spending or being too impulsive with your cash. This could flag up unexpected expenses and it’s not the right time to take a financial risk. If anything, you’re wise to rein in your spending, although don’t let that stop you enjoying yourself.
People & Community
Communication planet Mercury leaves water sign Cancer on the 9th. And, two days later, action planet Mars picks up the Cancer baton on the 11th. Mars will remain here until the end of September. Cancer is your community and communication sector.
Plus, Cancer is the star sign that represents home and family, the places and people that bring you comfort in life. Therefore, this is an ideal time to find your community and create loving bonds with your siblings, neighbours and people who live close by.
This sector of your horoscope has been active since June 2025 when expansive Jupiter first moved into Cancer. And, with Mars now taking up residence here, it’s worth getting re-motivated around communication and community.
Perhaps, you realise that people are more important to you than material gain. Certainly, you may experience a major shift around your close connections, education or your role within your neighbourhood.
Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts
It’s a double whammy of eclipses this month. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not in control.
- Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can aim to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes and wheel of destiny – they often act as a signpost or turning point.
