November Astrology
It’s been a lively eclipse season over the last couple of months with some real highs and lows. There were some deaths, some love stories and some break-ups taking place in my own world. I’m sure you’ve experienced your own roller-coaster ride events.
This month doesn’t feel any more settled so dig deep and be aware that Scorpio season is full on and powerful.
Scorpio is one of three star signs which has two ruling planets, God of war Mars and God of the underworld Pluto. Both are strong this month. Here’s what’s happening:
Mars Cancer opposite Pluto Capricorn – November 3
Mars opposite Pluto is a tough opposition which indicates power struggles, domination and force. The fact that these two planets face up to one another two days before the US Election on November 5 tells you a lot about the intensity and fierceness involved.
On a personal level, don’t put yourself in a situation which could turn volatile or violent. Instead, use your anger and passion (Mars), your power and resilience (Pluto) to bring about the right kind of change.
Scorpio season is always a reminder to wield your power to good effect. Scorpio rules corruption, as well as regeneration, so choose wisely.
The following day, November 4, Mars enters Leo where it will be on and off until June 2025. This is because Mars is about to enter its next retrograde phase from December 6, 2024 to February 24, 2025. Mars turns retrograde in Leo and turns direct in Cancer.
Plus, there will be two more Mars-Pluto oppositions on January 3 & April 27, 2025 cutting across the Leo/Aquarius star signs. This means that whatever power games are in play this month may continue for some time to come.
Pluto enters Aquarius – November 19
Also this month, power planet Pluto finally leaves Capricorn where it’s been for most of the time since 2008.
Pluto moves into Aquarius on November 19 where it will remain for the next twenty years. The transition of Pluto between Capricorn and Aquarius began in March 2023 and is completing in November 2024.
Capricorn favours planning, responsibility, hierarchies and the weight of history and tradition. Whereas, Aquarius favours innovation, collaborative ventures and the lure of technology and future-oriented inventions. Pluto represents powerful transformation but flags up where there are potential dangers too.
If you have planets or angles at 29° of the cardinal star signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or at 0-1° of the fixed star signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, you may have a sense of what this shift of power means for you. Pluto’s themes are loss, power and deep transformation.
New Moon Scorpio – November 1
A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings. Traditionally, a New Moon is the time to launch a project, begin something new and start over.
This is the beginning of the waxing phase of the Moon cycle, an ideal time to set your intentions for the month ahead. Make a wish when you first catch sight of the crescent Moon, a couple of days after the New Moon date.
This month’s New Moon falls in water sign Scorpio on November 1, an intense and deeply emotional star sign. It’s a powerful time to concentrate on what’s most important in your life. Dig deep, be resilient and tap into Scorpio’s laser focus.
Full Moon Taurus – November 15
During the Full Moon, the light of the moon is at its peak. Traditionally, a Full Moon is the time to trust your intuition, make important decisions and bring matters to completion or culmination.
This is the start of the waning phase of the Moon cycle, an ideal time to release and let go of what’s no longer needed in your life.
This month’s Full Moon falls in earth sign Taurus on November 15. Full Moons are a time for celebration and the Moon in Taurus is a safe harbour. Yet, this Full Moon feels lively as the Moon sits next to wild-card Uranus. Therefore, expect the unexpected and embrace change.
Mercury retrograde – November 26 to December 15
Communication planet Mercury enters fire sign Sagittarius on November 3. It won’t, however, leave Sagittarius until January 8, 2025. Immediately, this tells you that Mercury is heading into its next retrograde phase.
Therefore, you’re wise to get ahead and tick things off your ‘to do’ list before November 26.
Traditionally, Mercury retrograde is the time to avoid big decisions and major investments. Mercury rules transport and is the planet linked to trade.
If you need to do a deal or sign a contract once Mercury’s retrograde, read the small print and double-check everything. You may not have all the information at your fingertips when the communication planet is in retreat.
What Mercury retrograde is good for is to actively engage with all the re-words – reconsider, reflect, retreat, redo, rework, revise, reconnect, reminisce, research, etc.
Retrograde planets turn your attention inwards and towards the past. It’s a time for second chances, slowing things down and rethinking your next steps.
You might be heading off on a journey into the past once Mercury switches direction. Sagittarius rules foreign connections, higher education and the law.

I read your info about U.S. elections. Sorry to hear you wish Kamala would win.
Over half of our population is in favor of Trump. And I’m convinced his Presidency would favor the American public. He is bound to get rid of so many regulations that are currently hindering growth. And what little I can glean from Kamala’s plans would totally destroy the stock market system in American and around the world.
Kamala’s program only works if we pit black against white. And I’m sorry but I just don’t see that in America. Democrats have used race as a means of getting votes for a long time. Almost all the white people I know have best friends that are not white…Asian, African American, Indians, whatever.
Whenever I’ve traveled in England or Europe it’s very hard to find news like we get here in America. I watch all TV channels, those Democratically inclined & those Republican. It’s really important to know all the facts.
I ordered your 2025 book and look forward to receiving it.
Thank you for your comment Nancy and for buying my book 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy reading it. Yes, I know it’s a 50-50 race in the US and there are so many different reasons for deciding where your vote lies. It’s good to listen to one another and to open the lines of communication for everyone. Sending best wishes.
