Scorpio (24 October – 21 November)

Your ruling planet Mars is leading the way this month and changes signs on the 4th as it enters your fellow water sign of Cancer. Mars remains here until mid to late July and this lights up your travel and study sectors. You won’t be satisfied with a mundane lifestyle once Mars enters Cancer and your visionary qualities will be in full flow.

In some respects, Mars in Cancer is a weird dichotomy because Cancer is the sign that rules your home and family and yet in your chart, this is your travel sector. Perhaps this means visiting family abroad or considering a holiday home or living somewhere new.

At the very least, Mars in this part of your chart reawakens your sense of adventure and it’s a positive month to line up some new activities that boost your knowledge and satisfy your yearning nature.

Note the date of the Solstice too, which is the 21st. The Solstice is the midpoint of the year when the seasons shift due to the tilt in the earth’s axis. This always coincides with the Sun’s move into Cancer and this year the Sun is joined by Mercury, the communication planet.

In fact, the Solstice feels special this year because the Sun and Mercury unite on this day. This would be ideal for planning a holiday or trip away or taking yourself off on a personal development or life-enhancing course.

Then three days later, there’s a New Moon in Cancer on the 24th, another excellent date to broaden your horizons and to line up a new travel or study adventure.

So this is where you’re heading throughout June but you have other issues to deal with before you get there. Money remains an important factor, especially if you’re playing a waiting game. The Sun is in Gemini and your joint finance sector until the 21st but the most important transit this month is Mercury in Gemini from the 6th to the 21st.

Mercury is strong in the sign of communication and this is a key time to negotiate, to chase up money owed, to get your finances in order. You will have to move fast but it’s worth doing so, especially as there’s the potential to do well financially.

Admittedly other people hold the key and the Full Moon cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of your chart might reveal more. This takes place on the 9th and on the same day lucky Jupiter turns direct in Libra and a hidden sector of your chart.

This indicates progress, perhaps news you’ve been waiting for or success with a legal, publishing or media project. Yet Jupiter is hidden in your chart so you might have some way to go before you benefit completely from a changing situation. Jupiter will take four months to reach your sign of Scorpio on October 10th.

So now’s the time to do your research and prepare yourself for the next big wave of action and transformation. As Jupiter only visits your sign of the zodiac every 12 years for approximately 13 months, it makes sense to do whatever you can to be ready for this exciting transit. Jupiter represents opportunity and good fortune, expansion and freedom.

Back to money and the trickiest period to negotiate is the 15th to the 18th when Saturn opposes the Sun and Mercury in Gemini. Saturn in Sagittarius isn’t the best news for your personal cash flow as it represents limitation, obstacles in your path and Sagittarius is your personal money sector.

Yet remember that Saturn has help at hand this year in the form of Uranus in Aries. So even if cash is tight or your money is tied up with other people, you can still reinvent yourself and find new work to help you moving forward.

Uranus rules technology and Aries represents your work and lifestyle. Put the two together and look out for a chance to get ahead, perhaps close to the Solstice on the 21st. The other key dates for your working life are the 1st and 3rd when Venus completes her epic journey through Aries and this same sector of your chart.

Take what you’ve learned and put it to good use early in the month. Look out too for a key individual who can help you get ahead.

On the 6th, Venus changes signs and enters Taurus and your relationship sector. This is a lovely placing for the planet of love and relating as Taurus is steady and sensual. This spells good news for a long-term relationship or marriage especially if you’ve been through a rocky patch of late.

It might not mean that you’re moving forward together but it’s less volatile and more settled. The best day for love in general is the 9th when the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, unite. A romantic break or trip away could quickly reignite the passion between you.

If you’re looking for love, look for someone who’s steady and reliable. This might not be your usual type, at least straightaway, but it’s what will work best now. Potential romantic dates are the 20th and 24th when Venus receives extra blessings from first Neptune and then Pluto.

If anything, you’re not the one who’s strongest once Mars enters Cancer and Venus enters Taurus. This signifies your turn to let someone else take the lead, someone whose nature is calming and grounded.
