Sagittarius Horoscope October 2022

Sagittarius horoscope, horses

October could turn out to be the pivotal month of the year. There’s so much big astrology taking place, some of it echoing what’s coming in 2023. Here’s what’s most significant for you to take note of:

Mercury Turns Direct

As October begins, the planet of communication Mercury is back up to speed. Mercury turns direct on the 2nd in Virgo and your career and vocation sector after three weeks retrograde. It’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase since September 10th.

If you’ve been waiting to hear about a job, promotion or career-related project since August, Mercury turning direct could be the green light you’ve been waiting for. Often, news or information is revealed as Mercury switches direction.

What happens could boost your finances if things work out well. There’s a powerful Mercury-Pluto trine aspect on the 7th, the day before Pluto turns direct in Capricorn and your personal money sector on the 8th. Play your cards right and you could be signing a contract that secures your finances moving forward.

Even if you have to cut your losses and move on, it’s an ideal point in the month to get serious around work and money.

Full Moon Aries

On the 9th, a powerful Full Moon takes place cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac and highlighting the social sectors of your horoscope. This would be an ideal Full Moon for celebrating or partying. Make the most of the passionate Full Moon vibes.

Aries rules children, romance and creativity in your horoscope and expansive Jupiter is also here during the Full Moon phase. This is important for you as Jupiter is your ruling planet.

Plus on the 12th, there’s a Mercury-Jupiter opposition cutting across the Libra/Aries axis of the zodiac. Mercury returns to Libra on the 11th, where it turned retrograde on September 10th.

This may be a significant time for a friendship in your life. Or, your involvement with a group, club or society. If you’ve been over-giving in some shape or form, the light of the Full Moon on the 9th could bring clarity.

Yet, one way or another, you do need your alliances this month. This is because the air signs dominate – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – especially during the mid-month phase.

You’re wise to bring people together, to work at collaboration, affiliation, networks & connections. From the 12th to the 23rd, there’s a flow in these areas of your life. This may be about a community project. Or, an old-style school reunion.

Be aware, however, that Saturn is a key player in Aquarius and your community sector. On the 23rd, Saturn turns direct and will start its final transit through this part of your horoscope. In March 2023, Saturn moves on after being in your communication & community sector for the last three years.

If you’re considering stepping back from a leadership role, the astrology may give you a clue as to the ideal timing. Events this month could be the tipping point that make you realise where change is required.

Also this month, love and friendship are linked as the planet of relating Venus is in Libra until the 23rd and never far away from the Sun. The Full Moon in Aries could be a stand-out date for romance as could the 22nd when the Sun & Venus align.

Solar Eclipse Scorpio

One day later and the Sun & Venus change star sign and move into the deep introspective water sign Scorpio on th 23rd. This is the most hidden sector of your horoscope and it’s often a time of preparation as you get ready for your birthday season which begins on November 22nd.

Sometimes, you choose to go on retreat when you have planets in Scorpio. Or, you’re working on a project or reading more and engaged with activities that require quiet & solitude.

On the 25th, there’s a powerful Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. This is part of the eclipse cycle which began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon with oomph. Yet, during an eclipse what’s hidden can come to light and a new beginning can only take place after an ending.

You may be pulled back into the past during the latter part of October. This coincides with your ruling planet Jupiter returning to Pisces, the star sign at the base of your horoscope, on the 28th. Jupiter will only be here for a short while until December 20th.

As Pisces rules your home and family, your past and legacy, there may be more than one reason why you’re delving deep into issues that have their roots in the past. Alternatively, your living or family situation could change and may expand once again.

Mars Retrograde

Finally this month, action planet Mars turns retrograde in Gemini and your opposite star sign on the 30th. Mars has been in this sector of your horoscope since August 20th and will remain here until March 2023.

You may have found yourself in a competitive situation over the last couple of months, whether this is linked to sport, games, work or another area of your life.

When Mars switches direction, it’s time to take your foot off the accelerator and slow things down. You may lose someone’s support once Mars turns retrograde. Or, perhaps you recognise that you’re not going to win one specific battle and it’s time to conserve your energy.

Mars remains retrograde until January 12, 2023. This is ideally a time for planning and reworking your strategy before you take up arms or get back on your horse early next year.

It may not be a fight that’s on your hands. It could be a key relationship, either personal or professional, that’s keeping you on your toes. It might be a passionate encounter and, for whatever reason, you realise you’re wise to take the pace slow, for a while at least. Also, a note of caution to be careful what you say or write during this period as words could be used against you.

Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts

Eclipse season kicks in this month & next as the Taurus/Scorpio eclipse cycle continues. Here are some eclipse tips:

  • Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not always in control.
  • Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
  • Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
  • Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can try to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
  • Know that the eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes & wheel of destiny – sometimes, they offer a turning point ready or not.
