Libra September 2018

Libra, earth

Libra (23 September – 23 October)

What takes place early on in September could prove significant for what plays out in the rest of the month. Firstly, your planet Venus is strong in your star sign Libra until the 9th. This is a good time to put yourself first and to connect with the right group of friends.

Whether you choose to hang out with the cool kids or you want to connect with a person of influence, the 3rd is an ideal date to work your contacts.

On the 6th, Mercury joins the Sun in Virgo and the most hidden sector of your horoscope where it remains until the 22nd. This turns your attention inwards, whether you want more time to yourself or you’re preparing and getting ready for a new stage in life.

Often, you’re not at your most confident when planets are in this sector of your chart, so take your time and look after yourself well. It’s an excellent period, however, for research and thinking things through carefully.

One area of possible conflict is your home life as action planet Mars is back in Capricorn until the 11th. On the one hand, this means you can get things done and you might be busy at home or within your family. On the other hand, it could resurrect difficult relations or mean that your home life is noisier or less peaceful than you like.

This is an important month for your security and feeling safe where you live. There’s a predominance of planets in earth signs, the element connected to safety and security. Plus, on the 7th, there’s a Grand Earth Trine connecting Mercury in Virgo with Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus.

This combines the old (Saturn) with the new (Uranus) and it often signifies a time of change, leaving behind one chapter and moving into another. It might be about a property move for you or a connection with your past. A legacy that’s left behind affecting you or past generations.

This doesn’t feel light and easy by any means but, by going in deep, it will help you realise what security means to you, both financial and emotional. Ultimately, security needs to stem from yourself where possible, rather than relying too heavily on other people.

Your ruler, Venus, moves into Scorpio on the 9th where it remains for the majority of the next four months. This is linked to money matters for you but also how you value yourself, your self esteem. Money and worth go hand in hand with this combination and there’ll be lessons to learn not only around money but your self-worth and self-belief.

Expansive Jupiter has been in Scorpio and your money sector since October 2017 and on September 12th, it teams up with Pluto in Capricorn. This is often about hidden riches, money that comes to you via your home or family or thinking about what you pass on to your children.

There’s no right or wrong answers here. Instead, it’s important to examine your motivations for what you do and why. Around the 8th and 12th, you might discover that you and someone close are very different when it comes to money and what’s more important for each of you, financial or emotional security.

September’s stars take you in deep and you can’t avoid dealing with difficult emotions or examining yourself more closely. That’s not to say that September isn’t without some fun and lightness and, in this respect, the month improves as it goes along.

Action planet Mars moves back into Aquarius on the 11th where it remains until November 15th, lighting up the sector of your horoscope that rules romance, children, creativity, entertainment and luck. It’s potentially a passionate time and great for creating new relationships.

Most importantly for you, however, is the Equinox, when the Sun moves into your star sign Libra on the 23rd. Talk planet, Mercury, also graces your star sign from the 22nd onwards and both planets are working in unison with Mars on the 24th and 27th. Do more of what you love and bring pleasure into your life.

The Full Moon on the 25th highlights close relationships in your horoscope. This is about you and putting yourself and someone special first, whatever issues are going on at home or within your family.
