Libra Season

Throughout October, it’s important that you put yourself first and do more of what you love. If you’re a true Libra, sometimes you put other people’s needs before your own. Yet, one of your life lessons is learning to say no and do what you want.
Scorpio Season
Money matters are under the cosmic spotlight throughout October and this is because of what’s happening in Scorpio and your personal money sector. Scorpio season starts officially on the 23rd, but there are two other important planets in Scorpio highlighting money matters before then.
Firstly, talk planet Mercury’s in Scorpio throughout October encouraging you to do your sums and negotiate well. Mercury in Scorpio wants you to talk about money and values and go in deep.
More importantly, your ruling planet Venus is in Scorpio up until the 25th. This is when she returns to Libra, blessing you with her grace and popularity.
Venus in Scorpio links money with love. If you know that finances are an emotional issue for you, aim to keep your personal money separate from other people. Or, at least, be clear about what’s rightfully yours.
Mars’ Power
Also this month, Mars is in Leo and your friendship and group sector throughout October. However, at the start of the month, there may be some tension around these areas of your life.
This is because Mars in Leo clashes with power planet Pluto in your fellow air sign Aquarius on the 3rd. And, talk planet Mercury in Scorpio and your personal money sector is pulled into the conflict on the 2nd. This suggests that the first weekend of October wouldn’t be a good date to mix money and friendship.
In addition, be wary of a social event that could get out of hand and take a step back from any volatile situation. If you know someone who has anger issues, steer clear of them as the month begins.
There are more clashes throughout October and, importantly for you, your ruler Venus clashes with Mars and Pluto on the 10th & 20th. You could be caught up in a ‘battle of the sexes’ situation. Or an ongoing issue regarding a child, lover or friend looks set to run and run.
Even during the Full Moon in Taurus on the 26th, both the Sun and Moon clash with Pluto, another clear symbol to keep your money safe and not get involved with other people’s dramas.
Perhaps, this is a time when you need to cut your losses and run. Sometimes, Pluto’s themes are final and you’re right to close a door on the past.
Venus & Mercury Retrograde
Money and emotions are closely linked this month, so bear this in mind if you’re in the middle of financial dealings. Venus is the planet which rules love and money and your ruling planet turns retrograde in Scorpio on the 3rd. This is the start of a six week retrograde phase.
In addition, the planet of communication Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio on the 24th. And, both planets turn direct close to one another on November 13 & 14. This could turn out to be a significant turning point.
Perhaps, your finances are caught up with the finances of other people. Therefore, whatever befalls your partner or a financial association could impact your own financial fortune.
Venus in your money sector is a generous influence when you want to treat yourself and others. However, with Venus retrograde, this might mean you have less money available to you. Or you have to play a waiting game where money’s concerned.
It’s usually a time to spend less, not more and it’s not the best time to make a major investment. If you have to do so, ensure you read the small print carefully and ask all the relevant questions. Retrograde planets often have a theme of things being hidden from you, especially in secretive Scorpio. Avoid anything corrupt or underhand.
When a retrograde planet turns direct, that’s when you discover the truth of the situation. Or a better deal comes your way. What Mercury retrograde is useful for is going back over old ground, doing your research and working on things behind the scenes.
Keep your money cards close to your chest this month. This month’s astrology favours a financial review rather than charging into something new. This month’s events could bring a steep learning curve around money, your values and self-worth.
