Libra (23 September – 22 October)
Your planet Venus is offering or receiving support at the beginning of February. Up until the 7th, Venus is exalted in Pisces, the star sign which rules your work and lifestyle, your routine and your health. Plus, Venus teams up with Pluto on the 2nd and Saturn on the 3rd, both in Capricorn and your home and family sector.
Making Connections
Pisces is a sign that has a lot in common with your own sign of Libra as you’re both givers. As a Sun Libra, you may naturally believe that what you give you receive in return. The beginning of February is gorgeous for connecting with work colleagues and teaming up with other people, both at home and at work, to help or offer mutual support.
Focus your energy and attention on your work and health, your foundations and security early in the month as the rewards could be more than worth it. As you’ll hear shortly, there’s another reason why it’s worth concentrating on these areas of your life sooner rather than later.
Love & Partnership
On the 7th, Venus changes star sign and move into Aries, your opposite sign, where Venus remains until March 5th. This puts the focus on relationships and your 1-to-1 connections, both personal and professional.
February is an important month to turn your attention towards your relationships and consider how working in partnership can benefit you. Love may be in the ascendancy this month as the Sun is in Aquarius and your romance sector until the 19th. Therefore, Venus and the Sun are both lighting up love sectors of your horoscope.
Put all of this together and potentially you’re entering a new phase romantically. A lot depends on your current situation whether this is good news or brings an unexpected twist to your current relationship. The Full Moon in Leo on the 9th could be a decisive weekend for you when it comes to love. Usually, the Full Moon shines a light on your situation so you can see things clearly.
There are some provisos, however, and it won’t be all thrills and adrenalin when it comes to love and relationships. In fact, your ruling planet Venus is said to be weakened in Aries as you’re the relating star sign and Aries is about the individual.
With Venus in Aries, you may need to put yourself first more than usual, especially if you’re lacking balance in a close relationship. Or perhaps, it’s important to assert yourself around other people.
One of your Libra life lessons is learning to say No as you’re a people pleaser by nature. Therefore, consider the balance of power in your 1-to-1’s and if it’s out, consider what can you do to regain equilibrium.
On the 16th, things begin to shift dramatically. Firstly, action planet Mars enters Capricorn and your home and family sector where it remains until late March. These areas of your life are heating up and next month in particular could bring the need for action.
Mercury Retrograde
Secondly, the planet of communication, Mercury, turns retrograde on the 17th and remains on go slow until March 10th. Traditionally, this is not the time to make major decisions. Instead, go with the flow, take the pace slow and see where life leads you.
Mercury is in Pisces this month, the star sign which represents your work and routine, your lifestyle and health. It’s these areas of your life where nothing’s clear after the 17th and you’re wise to proceed cautiously. You may be changing your mind about what you’re doing or feel more indecisive than usual.
Also, there’s a flood of planetary activity in Pisces during this period, which may at times feel overwhelming. There’s a New Moon in Pisces on the 23rd, a symbol of new beginnings. And, three days earlier on the 20th, there’s a major planetary aspect between Jupiter in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces.
This whole combination feels creative, imaginative and dreamlike. At its best, it’s an inspiring period when you find yourself in touch with the artistic or compassionate side of your nature. And, you can channel your creative talents in to your work or home life in a good way.
However, this whole combination also feels disorienting and there might be times when you don’t know where you’re heading or why. There could be a disappointment around work or a sense that things are unravelling.
Try not to panic if this is the case. Instead, know that in the second half of February, you’re moving through an astrological period when anything goes and nothing is certain. Explore your options and don’t believe everything you read or hear. The truth will emerge mid-March and you’re wise to plan your big moves after March 10th, when Mercury is back up to speed.
The Uranus Factor
Also, this month, Uranus in Taurus is lively, on the 5th, 21st, 22nd and 29th. Taurus rules joint finances and shared resources in your horoscope and is linked to the metaphysical realm and hidden or taboo issues. Money may come your way unexpectedly this month or perhaps you receive an inheritance or tax rebate. Certainly, there’s the possibility of money coming in unexpectedly.
With Uranus, however, you can never tell whether it’s going to bring a win or a loss. This is the planet of unpredictability, after all. Be innovative around work, money and finances but don’t put your plans into action when Mercury’s up to its tricks.
Instead, dig deep to find out the truth and do your research. If you’re looking for a new job, Mercury retrograde is a great time to reconnect with old contacts or networks.
