Leo November 2017

Leo, poppies

Leo (23 July – 22 August)

Your ruler, the Sun remains in Scorpio until the 22nd. Scorpio represents your home and family, your past and where you come from and this is currently a peak sector of your horoscope. This is because big planet Jupiter entered Scorpio on October 10th and two weeks later, the Sun and Jupiter came together in this part of your chart on October 26th.

Jupiter represents expansion and it’s the planet of opportunity, good fortune and luck. Often when you have Jupiter at the base of your horoscope, this means you want more space, freedom or room in your life or you’re considering a move, either of residence or country. Jupiter is the foreign planet.

You might also reconnect with family now or delve into your ancestry. This is a good time to do so, but most importantly consider why these areas of your life are under strong focus. Jupiter symbolism often alludes to extending your family or moving away.

The Sun in Scorpio makes two key planetary aspects this month, to Neptune on the 3rd and Pluto on the 9th. Neptune in Pisces flags up a money sector of your horoscope and Pluto a work sector of your horoscope.

Both planetary aspects are helpful, so the people and activities mentioned above are working together. This might mean you ask your family for help, either financially or with work, or you’re keen to support or advise someone close. This is where there’s currently a sense of flow in your horoscope.

The Full and New Moons light up these same sectors of your horoscope and the Full Moon on the 4th is especially important for you. This is when the Sun in Scorpio opposes the Moon in Taurus at the peak of your chart. The Moon in Taurus represents a safe harbour and Taurus is your career and vocation sector.

This is often a time of achievement or a chance to reconsider where you’re heading and why. You see things with clarity during the Full Moon and ideally you want security in your life. If you have a choice to make early November, go for the safe option, do the right thing, the sensible thing. If this includes putting down roots or coming together with family to help one another out or celebrate, you’re on the right track.

The New Moon on the 18th falls in Scorpio and the New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings. This is an excellent date to consider what next and to initiate new plans or ideas. Put your home on the market or look for somewhere new to rent. Get together with family as this is the start of a new chapter, a new phase.

This remains a lively month for you because key planets are in Libra, the sign that rules communication, transport and short trips. Venus is here until the 7th but Venus clashes with Uranus on the 4th.

This might mean something doesn’t go according to plan or perhaps you’re disappointed if someone lets you down or changes their mind. Venus is the love planet and Uranus is one of your partner planets so this could be about a love relationship, not working out.

You might have issues with technology now or your mode of transport whether you’re dealing with strikes or vehicles breaking down. It’s a choppy astrological picture and this continues past the 7th because action planet Mars is in Libra throughout November.

Also, the only planetary aspect that Mars makes is a clashing one with Pluto on the 19th. Again this denotes the end of the road, something not working out. Mars is the argumentative planet so some of your communications could be feistier than usual, especially close to the 19th. There could be one or two bumpy journeys this month, so breathe deeply and take your time.

Fun too is on the cards as communication planet Mercury enters your fellow fire Sagittarius on the 5th. Mercury remains here for an unusually long time until January 10, 2018. This is because next month, Mercury will be retrograde, i.e. on go slow from December 3rd to the 23rd.

So crack on with organising social events this month rather than wait until next month. The same applies if you want to be more creative, spend quality time with your children or grand-children, or line up some key events. Entertainment too is under the cosmic spotlight.

The big news on this front is the major Saturn-Uranus aspect that takes place on the 11th. Saturn is known as the taskmaster of the heavens and Saturn has been in Sagittarius since late 2014. It moves on later this year, 2017, and it’s been slowing things down. This may have been in relation to love, children & pregnancy or finding time to enjoy yourself.

The Saturn-Uranus connection is helpful and this is the third and final encounter of these two slower-moving planets. They first came together on December 25, 2016, they met on May 19, 2017 and November 11, 2017 is their last connection.

This means you might finally get the go-ahead for something you’ve been wanting for a long time. This may be linked to children or romance, or perhaps it’s to do with travel or study, the bigger picture. Certainly it seems to flag up an issue around something that’s dear to your heart, something you’re passionate about that you’ve not been able to pursue.

Saturn and Uranus are your partner planets, so this could be about love too. You might be able to break down a boundary or restriction or make a final push to help someone out or get what you want. This is about renewal and reinvention rather than total change.

The period from the 25th to the 28th is intriguing in this respect when Mercury teams up first with Uranus and then Saturn. This would be an excellent period to have that all-important conversation.
