Cancer (22 June – 22 July)
A lot of the planetary action this month hinges round the Full Moon on the 4th and the New Moon on the 18th. These are always key periods of the month for you, as your sign of Cancer is ruled by the Moon.
The Full Moon on the 4th lights up the Scorpio/Taurus axis of your horoscope. Scorpio is a fellow water sign and you feel in your element when the Sun is in Scorpio. In addition, the Moon’s happy in Taurus and this is a safe harbour for the changeable Moon.
This is about your social life on the one hand and also what you love doing in life. Scorpio lights up all the good things in your horoscope, such as romance, children, creativity, entertainment and luck. The key with all these diverse areas of life is to follow your heart. When you tap into the depth of your passion, then you transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Big planet Jupiter is also in Scorpio where it will remain for another year. This is a time to be fearless in life, to follow your heart and not let restrictions hold you back. Write your masterpiece, spend quality time with your children, extend your family via pregnancy or adoption, expand your social circle and do more of what you love.
You need depth and richness in your life now, as this will ease any melancholy or sadness. Love too could play an important role in your life, especially once love planet Venus joins the Sun and Jupiter in Scorpio on the 7th. Venus remains here all month so make the most of this passionate placing for the goddess of love.
One of the best dates for love and abundance is the 13th as this is when Venus and Jupiter come together. They are the best planets in astrology and they are in the lucky sector of your horoscope, so this promises a great deal. Practise giving, be abundant and trust that life will return your caring nature.
This could out to be a stunning month for love and romance too, and it’s an excellent time to join a dating agency. Another good reason to extend your friendship group too, so you have more opportunity to meet someone new if that’s what you choose.
The New Moon on the 18th also falls in the water sign Scorpio and New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings. This too promises love and romance, joy and happiness. Use the New Moon to initiate new connections in your life, and focus on whatever or whoever makes you happy.
It’s not all straightforward and rosy this month, however and, as mentioned earlier, there’s more going on during the Moon phases this month. Firstly, Venus in Libra clashes with unpredictable Uranus on the 4th, the same day as the Full Moon.
This combination often springs surprises. Venus in Libra lights up your home and family sector and Uranus in Aries lights up your career and vocation sector. It’s the foundation that links your past to your future.
This is likely to be an emotional time because of the Full Moon energy at its peak. You might need to be there for someone you love, if a family member or someone close feels out of sorts or encounters a love crisis. If you’re buying or selling, expect the unexpected and know that this isn’t an easy month to deal with property.
At the Full Moon, it’s Mars’ turn. Mars is in Libra throughout November, so home and family are where the action’s at. Sometimes life at home is noisy with Mars in this sector of your chart, whether you have people staying, family members arguing or you’ve got the builders in. It’s rarely quiet and peaceful with Mars in Libra.
Plus, on the 19th, the day after the New Moon, Mars clashes with Pluto and this is the only planetary aspect that Mars makes all month. Pluto is in Capricorn and your relationship and partnership sector.
You might fall out with someone on or around this date, or realise that you have to close the door on your past. If you keep going back to an ex, for example, make a concerted effort to stop any behaviour that doesn’t serve you in the long run.
Watch out too for people in your life behaving badly on or around the 19th and don’t put up with it. It can be easy for you to feel that things are your fault when they’re not, so don’t take the blame for a situation if you know it’s not down to you. There’s a sense of wrapping up the past in some way too, and getting ready to let go and move on.
The areas of your life where it is important to focus on future goals are your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health. Communication planet Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 5th lighting up this sector of your chart and Mercury remains here until January 10, 2018. This is because Mercury turns retrograde next month, from December 3rd to 23rd, so it spends an unusually long time in your work and health sector.
This is where to pay close attention in the coming month and have those all-important conversations. Don’t put things off now, but ensure you do whatever you can to keep on top of your work and to be in good health.
This is especially important because of a major planetary aspect taking place on the 11th between Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. Saturn is known as the taskmaster of the heavens and has been in your work and health sector since late 2014. Later this year, 2017, Saturn moves on.
If you’ve been unemployed or stuck in a boring job, or alternatively, your health hasn’t been tip top over the last couple of years, this smacks of Saturn’s influence. Since late last year, however, Saturn has teamed up with Uranus in Aries and your career sector in a good way.
Perhaps you’ve found revolutionary ways to boost your health or you’ve been able to balance a regular job with a part-time business that inspires you. Uranus rules technology and all things new.
The first time they came together was December 25, 2016, they met on May 19, 2017 and November 11, 2017 is their third and final connection. Push through any boundaries now or make a last-ditch effort to initiate plans that have been brewing. Focus on your work and health and get the basics right.
