Leo Horoscope April 2025
Long Term Goals
This month, long-term goals are foreground. This is because of the Sun’s move through your fellow fire sign Aries and the sector of your horoscope which rules travel, study and the bigger picture. Being a Leo, the Sun is your ruler and is in Aries until the 19th.
If you’re travelling or studying, you’re in tune with your stars. Also, as April progresses, you may be looking ahead to next year’s holiday or be keen to line up a study course or trip away. If you’re a typical Leo, you like to have a schedule or plan, something to look forward to.
The key to your success this month is to be focused and deal with one thing at a time. Don’t take on too much, don’t get overly carried away and deal with practicalities, without losing sight of your future goals or dreams.
Mercury Turns Direct
Also this month, there are some significant turning points, cosmic green lights. Firstly, the planet of communication Mercury switches direction on the 7th, after being retrograde since March 15th.
It’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase but, when Mercury turns direct, this often brings news or information to light. Mercury is picking up speed in Pisces and your joint finance sector. Therefore, you may busy sorting out your finances, creating new systems or tidying up a money muddle or a mess.
On the day that Mercury turns direct, you could receive the money you’ve been waiting for. Or perhaps, you hear about a new money-making opportunity. Draw up some new goals to secure your financial future and ensure you’re getting the best rates for savings, debt or your financial assets.
Venus Turns Direct/Full Moon
There’s another significant turning point mid-month when the planet of love and money Venus turns direct on the 13th. Like Mercury, Venus switches direction in Pisces and your joint finance sector.
This could be helpful for you financially, especially as Venus has been retrograde since March 2nd. Both Mercury and Venus are planets linked to the money markets and trade. When Venus turns direct, you could receive a gift or bonus. Or perhaps, some good news comes your way.
Alternatively, a shift in earnings may be linked to spending less elsewhere. Perhaps, a regular payment comes to an end. Or you’ve finally paid off an expensive bill or debt.
Be wary of extravagance, however, with both Venus and Mercury moving forward again in Pisces. Ensure you recognise the difference between generosity and over-giving.
On the same day that Venus turns direct, the 13th, there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. The Full Moon is a positive time to make a key decision, perhaps around travel or study, culture or learning. You might be at a workshop or course during the Full Moon weekend.
Or perhaps, you’re abroad and liaising with people from different backgrounds or cultures to yourself. Talk planet Mercury returns to Aries on the 16th and Venus joins Mercury here on the 30th.
Career Peaks/New Moon
There’s another influence calling you in the last ten days of April as your ruler the Sun enters Taurus, the star sign at the peak of your horoscope on the 19th. Taurus rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation. .
This is a top period in the month to focus on your future path, aim high and rev up your ambitious nature. Use the New Moon in Taurus on the 27th to start over and set your intentions around career and work.
In fact, you may be so busy with your career or long-term goals that you have little time for your personal life. Do what’s right for you but it’s important to think carefully about where your priorities lie.
Instead of solely speeding ahead with career and big picture goals, find time to communicate with your loved ones so they’re supportive even if you’re extra busy.
Mars’ Power
This is especially important because of what’s happening with action planet Mars. On the 18th, Mars returns to your star sign Leo where it was from November 4, 2024 until January 6, 2025. Mars turned retrograde in your star sign on December 6, 2024 and now it’s back.
This is a similar theme to the forward-moving motion of both Mercury and Venus. What are you returning to or where are you willing to try again? Mars in Leo adds motivation and dynamism to your personal tool box.
You may feel more confident and assertive with Mars back in your star sign. This could be helpful, especially as Mars runs into power planet Pluto in your opposite star sign Aquarius on the 27th. Consider who or what you might be up against as Pluto is a formidable influence.
This could link back to events which took place early November 2024 or at the start of this year, 2025. At its best, this may mean that a conflict or crisis in your life comes to completion. However, there is a sense of an ultimatum when Mars and Pluto clash.
Stand your ground but don’t go for broke as Pluto is a powerful opponent. It’s not the best time to get on the wrong side of the law. Instead, look after your own interests and take good care of yourself.
