Libra Season
Love is part of the planetary picture this month, as the Sun is moving through the star sign of romance Libra up until the 23rd. Plus, the planet of love Venus will return to Libra on the 25th.
This is your cue to do whatever gives you pleasure and team up with people you love – your children, a lover, your social circle. Libra rules a lucky sector of your horoscope, when enjoyment and entertainment peak and your creative juices begin to flow. Be actively social, especially if you’re looking for love.
The 10th would be great for a social event and bringing people together as this is the date of the New Moon in Libra. If you want to start a creative project or try out a new hobby, this would be the ideal time.
There’s a lightness when planets are in Libra and this is important to lean into throughout October because of what else is going on.
Scorpio Season
Scorpio season starts officially on the 23rd. However, this month, Scorpio activity is intense throughout October. And, whereas Libra rules play in your horoscope, Scorpio is linked to work.
Your ruling planet Mercury is in Scorpio throughout October. Plus, the planet of relating Venus is in Scorpio up until the 25th. You may be working harder than usual this month or be busy getting a lot of things done. Work your connections and use your team to good effect.
Scorpio’s the star sign linked to power, so consider where the balance of power lies, especially at work or in your daily routine. Where do you need to be empowered and take a tough stance?
Scorpio not only rules your work and routine, also your lifestyle and health. Therefore, you might decide to get fit this month and recognise that physical strength equals power.
Start weight-training or ramp up your steps. If you’ve got a lot going on throughout October, even more important to feel strong in the holy triad of mind, body and spirit.
Mars’ Power
There’s another important shift this month, as action planet Mars is in Leo and your communication and community sector where it remains throughout October. This is often a busy time for Mars and, therefore, for you.
However, Mars is in feisty mood when it opposes power planet Pluto on the 3rd and clashes with your ruling planet Mercury on the 2nd.
Sometimes, a Pluto opposition can symbolise something coming to an end. This could coincide with the cancellation of a trip away or a study course. Or perhaps, you’re called into work unexpectedly. Or a health issue stops you saying yes to an adventure or new experience.
Arguments could flare up dramatically, perhaps around religion or beliefs. Take care of being overly impulsive as shooting from the hip could backfire against you. Words can be used as weapons during this conflict but be wary that things don’t escalate further.
Venus in Scorpio is pulled into the conflict on the 10th & 20th – a battle of the sexes – and Mercury flares up again on the 30th. Plus, this month’s Full Moon on the 26th is square to Pluto. With the Moon in Taurus, this is encouraging you to stay safe and find your place of retreat.
Venus & Mercury Retrograde
Also this month, the planet of relating Venus turns retrograde on the 3rd and your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 24th. Both planets switch direction in Scorpio and your work and health sector and both planets will turn direct close to one another, Mercury on November 13 & Venus on November 14.
When planets are retrograde, it’s a good idea to slow things down. If you’re not getting on with a colleague, don’t push it. Give yourself and the other person time to reassess and review the situation.
Some of your plans may have to go on hold. Or you’re waiting to hear about a job or medical results. Be patient if things aren’t going the way you’d planned.
Use the retrograde phases to look at your situation from a different perspective. Get alternative advice or think outside of the box to find a solution to a problem. It can be a good time to chase up old contacts who may be able to help you, whether you’re seeking work or health advice.
Or you may be working on something in secret or behind the scenes with a fellow colleague or a team of people. Scorpio is a secretive star sign. Therefore, whatever’s going on in your life, be less open and keep things close to your chest. Slow things down, especially if you’re busy. It may seem like reverse psychology but it can work.
