Cancer Horoscope September 2025
Virgo Season
Earth signs like Virgo favour stability and routine. The Sun is in Virgo until the 22nd and talk planet Mercury joins the Sun here from the 2nd to the 18th. This is about your routine and life close to home.
If you’re a typical Sun Cancer, you favour routine in your life and enjoy your home comforts. The 12th & 13th could be stand-out dates for socialising and community matters. This is when there’s a magical Sun-Mercury cazimi conjunction in Virgo and both planets link to lucky Jupiter in your star sign Cancer.
Perhaps, you’re the one offering generosity to others. Jupiter’s a protective influence, hospitable and giving. It would be an ideal time to open your doors to other people.
Plus, there may be a particular reason why you’re keen to embrace the future and reach out to people anew. You may feel cut off from someone close or recognise that your views and opinions are in direct opposition to other people.
Perhaps, you’re stepping away from a significant part of your past and this is the reason why you want to do things differently and practise kindness and caring elsewhere.
Eclipse Month
This is likely to be a significant month as there are two eclipses taking place. On the 7th, there’s a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces and, on the 21st, there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo.
You often feel eclipse energy more powerfully than other people because you’re a Moon child. Your star sign Cancer is ruled by the waxing and waning Moon which is why you often experience the whole gamut of emotions. Your moods can change as quickly as the shape-shifting Moon. Therefore, know that you might feel more emotional during this eclipse month and your feelings may be close to the surface.
The eclipses highlight your education and travel sectors. If you’re on the move this month, double check travel documentation and allow yourself extra time to get from A to B. Eclipses can steer you in a new direction as life steps in to change your pans.
You might be studying to retake exams or you may feel unsure about the future. This could be a month when you spend a lot of time lost in your thoughts, perhaps feeling disillusioned with your lot or unusually unsettled. If this is true for you, express your thoughts, write them down or talk to people you trust.
Travel and study, education and religion are the areas of your life that could be ripe for change. You may be exploring your spiritual path or be engaged in a clash or conflict of beliefs.
Or perhaps, you receive important news about a course or trip. Be aware, however, that eclipse symbolism often indicates that something has to come to an end or be given up, before you can embrace something new. This is especially true on the Solar Eclipse on the 21st which falls right at the end of Virgo.
This follows on from a New Moon in Virgo on August 23rd. A Solar Eclipse accelerates growth and this is the only Solar Eclipse in the Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle which began in September 2024 and completes in February 2027.
As authority planet Saturn is opposite the Solar Eclipse, this could signal an ending followed by a new beginning. Decide where your loyalties lie and be bold this month. Yet, take your time rushing into anything new. Notice the signposts and what’s foreground in your life.
Libra Season
It will be interesting to see how much or how willing you are to be pulled out into the world this month. The eclipses are encouraging you to engage with the news and world events.
However, there’s a strong focus on life close to home and family life in particular. This is thanks to the planets in Libra, the star sign at the base of your horoscope. Action planet Mars is here until the 22nd when it hands over the Libra baton to the Sun on the same day, the Equinox. Plus, talk planet Mercury enters Libra on the 18th.
This suggests that loving connections and a safe base are the areas where peace and harmony can be found. You might be involved in a DIY project, especially when active Mars is in Libra. Or perhaps, you’re welcoming visitors into your home. Either way, it’s important you have somewhere in your life where you can rest and retreat and revel in the comforts of life.
Mars Power
Action planet Mars moves into Scorpio, your fellow water sign, on the 22nd and this promises to be a passionate time. Scorpio rules romance and love affairs in your horoscope, also children and creativity.
If you’re involved with a creative project or you’re busy with a hobby or leisure activity, dive in at the deep end. There could be moments of creative block or procrastination and times when you have to rework things. Yet, this is where fulfilment lies, chasing after your passions.
However, there is a proviso because Mars clashes with power planet Pluto in Aquarius and your joint finance sector on the 24th. Someone or something could be a drain on your finances as the month nears its end. Try not to get into a major fight around money or values and do what you can to keep the peace.
Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts
It’s a double whammy of eclipses this month. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not in control.
- Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can aim to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes and wheel of destiny – they often act as a signpost or turning point.
