You’re a child of the Moon, which means when eclipses take place, your emotions are likely to ebb and flow more intensely. This December is an eclipse month once again.
Eclipses are dramatic and often bring about change. It’s hard to stay stuck in your comfort zone when you have eclipse energy propelling you forwards. That’s not to say that eclipses are easy but they are a time when you can turn your life around.
On November 19th, there was a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. This month, on December 4th, there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse, a symbol of new beginnings.
Eclipses can coincide with drama or a sudden turn of events. There can be an ending which take place triggering a fresh start. As the Solar Eclipse falls in Sagittarius, this is about your work and health, your lifestyle and routine.
Try not to wear yourself out during this period in the year and make time for you too. Caring for yourself and others is a key theme of this current eclipse cycle.
This is the last month of the Gemini/Sagittarius eclipse cycle that began in June 2020. It culminates on this month’s Full Moon in Gemini on the 19th. Full Moons represent completion, culmination, things coming to light.
In your horoscope, the Gemini/Sagittarius axis is about service, sacrifice and surrender. You could choose to put your life in the hands of God or follow a spiritual path and let go of outer achievements or success. That’s the most radical outcome of this current cycle. Yet, in some way large or small, you may find your priorities shifting.
This could be a practical shift that’s linked to work and money. Big planet Jupiter is in Aquarius and your joint finance sector until the 29th. On the 11th & 20th, Jupiter aligns with talk planet Mercury and then the Sun, both in Sagittarius.
This could mean you break free from a job that’s held you back. Or, perhaps you’ve had enough of a work or health issue and you’re ready to throw caution to the winds and invest in your well-being.
If there are times when you feel disillusioned with where you’re heading – key dates 7th & 12th – stay faithful that new opportunities will open up in 2022. Action planet Mars could bring some much-needed get-up-and-go to your work and health sector from the 13th to January 24, 2022.
Love & Relationships
One area of your life that may bring surprises your way this month is your love life. In normal circumstances, this would be a promising month for love as the planet of love Venus is lighting up your opposite star sign Capricorn and your relationship sector.
Mercury’s here from the 13th and the Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st, the day of the Solstice. Plus, as the month begins, passion planet Mars is in Scorpio and your romance sector until the 13th. Ideally, dive deep into love as soon as December begins.
Why are other people more significant in your life than usual now? Are you single and want to meet someone new? Are you ready to start dating again? Are you in a relationship or married and either head-over-heels in love or working things through together?
Remember that when planets are in your opposite star sign, this is about all your one-to-one’s i.e. it could involve a business partner, a coach or teacher. Delve deep into partnership this month as this is where you may experience rich insights and learning.
The most significant factor taking place is the planet Venus turning retrograde. Venus will be on go slow from December 19 to January 29, 2022. Sometimes, this means there’s a chance to rejuvenate an ex relationship. Other times, it means you and someone close either choose or have to spend time apart.
This Venus retrograde phase is particularly intense as Venus conjoins with Pluto in Capricorn as she switches direction. These two powerful planets bringing intensity and obsession come together on the 11th & the 25th. This brings super focus to this area of your life. It may be dramatic, it may bring a complete change of direction or heart.
Either way, when Venus is retrograde, the work is on the inside, learning more about yourself and your inner motivations when it comes to love, relationships and partnership. You may have no option but to go in deep this month, whether you enter therapy, see someone’s true colours or feel ready to open up to love once more.
Jupiter Enters Pisces
Finally, there’s a major planetary shift in the heavens this month which is great news for you. This involves Jupiter, the planet of opportunity, which enters your fellow water sign of Pisces on the 29th. Jupiter remains in Pisces until May 10, 2022. Jupiter’s already been in Pisces from May 13 to July 28, 2021.
Straightaway, this is good news because Pisces is the same water element as your star sign Cancer. You may feel more in flow with life. Jupiter rules travel, study, philosophy, spirituality, any activity that expands your horizons and broadens your experience of life.
If you want to emigrate or take a sabbatical from work and explore a new direction in life, it starts with believing and knowing that anything’s possible. Line up some big dreams in 2022 and let the universe hear your voice.
There may be an opportunity to think globally, expand your network and reach out to other people in different countries and cultures. Jupiter is closely linked to philanthropy and charitable actions.
