Home and family affairs are prominent for most of the month. This is because the Sun is in Taurus and your home and family sector until the 20th. Plus, communication planet Mercury is here from the 10th to the 26th.
Taurus is a slow and steady earth sign encouraging you to put down roots and do what you can to feel grounded and secure. It’s a key period in the year to pay more attention to family and loved ones.
Yet, there’s a theme of the new when it comes to these areas of your life and this is because your co-ruler Uranus is in Taurus. It’s an odd planet/sign combination as Uranus represents change and Taurus wants and needs roots in life.
Uranus is most active this month on the 17th and 24th when it aligns with the Sun and Mercury in Taurus. Your living situation could change suddenly during this period.

This could be one of the best months for you when it comes to love and relationships and there are a few reasons why.
Firstly, the biggest and best planet Jupiter remains in Gemini and your romance sector throughout May. Plus, passion planet Mars is moving through Leo and your relationship sector. Mars has already been in Leo in the last two months of 2024 so consider where you’re trying again. Or notice who’s back in your life.
On the 22nd, Mars in Leo aligns with love planet Venus in Aries. The lovers of the heavens are working together, an ideal symbol for a passionate encounter or loving union. The astrology indicates that this is an ideal time to embrace love in your life, to be open-hearted, to give and receive.
Gemini Season
This continues into Gemini season when the Sun enters your romance sector on the 20th followed by talk planet Mercury on the 26th.
Gemini rules the most creative sector of your horoscope and the things in life that you give birth to, including children, your gifts and talents, your creative masterpiece. It’s a fellow air sign.
This is a romantic sector of your horoscope but it’s also about embracing play and doing more of what you love. The astrology suggests that this would be a good time to dive deep into a passionate or creative pursuit.
Gemini rules both the written and spoken word and the New Moon in Gemini on the 27th is a symbol of new beginnings. This would be an ideal time of the month to go on a date, try for a baby or set your intentions around a creative project.
The New Moon is perfect for launching a project or starting over. This theme continues to the end of May when there’s a stunning Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction in Gemini on the 30th. Reach out to other people, speak up and ask for what you want or need.
Pluto Retrograde
Power planet Pluto’s move through your star sign Aquarius is an indication that you’re wise to engage with life fully. You can’t detach or cut off when Pluto’s involved. This is the planet of deep psychological transformation, so step up your personal growth development or other activities which can help transform you for the better.
You could become a tech whizkid with Pluto in Aquarius and be at the forefront of AI (Artificial Intelligence) or new future-oriented trends. As an Aquarius, you always have one eye on the future so consider how you can get involved in shaping society and helping to bring about a more equal world.
Pluto turns retrograde in Aquarius on the 4th so consider whether this is a turning point in your life.
