Getting Ahead
This is a good month when you may want to get ahead and fast. This is the message of your ruling planet Mercury as it whizzes through three star signs throughout May.
At the start of the month, Mercury is completing its journey through fire sign Aries up until the 3rd. However, Aries energy dominates up until the 18th thanks to action planet Mars in Aries. Aries rules joint finances in your horoscope and all types of money transactions.
It would be a good time to request a loan or ask for payment owed. You might be able to move quickly to sort things out financially for yourself or someone close.
Taurus Season
There may be a strong calling this month towards freedom and adventure as the Sun remains in Taurus and your travel and study sector up until the 21st. Plus, your ruling planet Mercury is in earth sign Taurus from the 3rd to the 17th. Then, Mercury hands over the Taurus baton to action planet Mars on the 18th.
Taurus season is often a time when you want to expand your horizons, whether physically, intellectually, philosophically or spiritually. It’s an ideal month to keep learning, embrace change and be open to whatever’s new and different.
Trust your intuition on the 1st when there’s a Full Moon in Scorpio cutting across the travel and study sectors of your horoscope. Lean into your curious nature and decide where and how you want to explore more.
It’s likely that you won’t want to travel or embrace new experiences alone. Team up with your friends or a group on the 11th or 13th and your plans could take you far.
To add to the forward-moving vibe in your life, the New Moon takes place in Taurus on the 16th. A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and an excellent date to set your intentions or launch a project.
Yet, saying yes to a new path in life could mean that you have to say no to a current situation. This is because there’s a clash between Mars in Taurus and Pluto in Aquarius on the 26th. Aquarius is your work and health sector, so you may want to leave a 9-to-5 job to go travelling or to care for someone close.
Things don’t always go your way with this astrological combination. Therefore, you may ask for holiday leave and hear the word no. Perhaps, you’re concerned about your health or stress levels and you don’t want to put off making a big move any longer. Weigh up your options and be aware that you may have to make a tough decision.
Gemini Season
On the 21st, the Sun enters air sign Gemini, the star sign at the peak of your horoscope. Gemini rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation and it’s about your future path in life.
In addition, your ruling planet Mercury enters Gemini a few days earlier on the 17th. Plus, you have the planet of relating Venus in Gemini until the 19th. Put all this together and you’re wise to turn your attention to your career goals, your vocation and your next steps.
There’s a dual theme when planets are in Gemini and you may be making your mark in the fields of diversity and inclusion. Gemini rules communication and is linked to the media, podcasting and the airwaves.
There is another planetary factor influencing your career and vocation which is the planet Uranus. Uranus entered Gemini at the end of April and teams up with Mercury on the 18th & the Sun on the 22nd.
Uranus is an innovative and unique influence, as it’s the planet associated with all things modern and technological. When it’s active in your career sector, you may be experimenting or trying something new.
Perhaps, you want to embrace more space and freedom in your career. Or you’re aware of the importance of being part of the right kind of groups and the collective.

Venus Cancer
The planet of love and relating Venus moves into water sign Cancer and your friendship and group sector on the 19th. Venus remains here until mid-June.
Therefore, whatever you’re trying to pursue or achieve or make something of this month, don’t go it alone, especially after the 19th. Reach out to other people and team up together.
Pluto Retrograde
Power planet Pluto turns retrograde in Aquarius and your work and health sector on the 6th. This could transform your lifestyle and your everyday routine. If you’re a typical Virgo, you like to have a daily schedule. Perhaps, Pluto switching direction here will change your attitude to work and health.
Pluto’s the planet of deep learning and psychological transformation. Try not to be too extreme, however, especially when it comes to your health or diet, as Pluto can be an all-or-nothing planetary energy.
Pluto will remain retrograde until mid-October. Consider where you’re taking your foot off the pedal, perhaps to ease a stressful situation. Or where you’re wise to embark on inner change before trying to change things externally. This may be linked to the mind or getting in touch with your soul path.
