Getting Ahead
This is a good month to get ahead and fast. This is the message of your ruling planet Mercury as it whizzes through three star signs and three different sectors of your horoscope.
Aries’ activity is strong all month thanks to the planet of relating Venus here. More importantly for you, Mercury is fired up in Aries until the 10th. Aries rules joint finances in your horoscope and all types of money transactions.
It would be a good time to request a loan or ask for payment owed. You might be able to move quickly to sort things out financially for yourself or someone close. Also, lucky Jupiter could be a cause for celebration when it teams up with your ruler Mercury on the 5th linking your work and money sectors.
Plus, with Venus here throughout May, it’s about people power and getting the right experts or advisers on your side. Partnership and money, emotions and finances are closely linked.
The other major planet moving into Aries is Saturn the planet of responsibility and authority. Saturn remains in Aries for the next few months and takes up residence here in February 2026.
Saturn’s move into Aries may teach you a lot about money and the link between money and energy. You may get involved in fundraising or charity work. Or perhaps, you take responsibility for your finances in a new way and aim to build for a secure future.
Saturn prefers saving to spending and may encourage you to cut expenses and live more modestly. Alternatively, you could be stepping into a role where you’re in charge of funding or finances.
Leo Vibes
This month’s astrology could include a period of soul-searching. This is because there’s strong emphasis on the star sign Leo, the star sign before yours which rules the most hidden sector of your horoscope.
Action planet Mars is in Leo throughout May and this is about digging deep and turning inwards to access your inner voice. You may want or need more time alone than usual. Care and nurture could be foreground, whether this means self-care or caring for others.
Sometimes, you’re doing research, studying or working on a major project when Mars is in Leo. Ideally, it’s wise to slow down the pace of life before you dash off again. Appreciate moments of contemplation, relaxation and reflection.
This might link back to what was happening in the last two months of 2024 when Mars was first in Leo. What are you returning to? Or where is there a theme of past lives?
This may become clear to you on or around the 22nd when Venus in Aries aligns with Mars in Leo in a positive planetary aspect. This is about good karma, perhaps a private benefactor who steps in to help.
Foreign Connections
There may continue to be a strong calling this month towards freedom and adventure as the Sun remains in Taurus and your travel and study sector until the 20th. Plus, your ruling planet Mercury is in earth sign Taurus from the 10th to the 26th.
You may be keen to expand your horizons this month, whether physically, intellectually, philosophically or spiritually. It’s an ideal month to keep learning, embrace change and be open to whatever’s new and different.
This could coincide with a work trip or a plan to extend your business globally. Foreign connections are well-starred and fizzing with excitement.
This has a lot to do with Uranus’ move through Taurus and your travel and study sector. Uranus is especially lively on the 17th & 24th when it aligns with the Sun and Mercury. Notice what opportunities pop up on or around these dates.
Being spontaneous and taking a risk could work out for the best. Earth sign energy is strong mid-month and this is your element. Trust your natural instincts and follow any hints or clues that lead you in a new direction.
Uranus is unpredictable, however, so be prepared for the unexpected, especially if you want to travel or study on or around the dates mentioned. Allow yourself extra time and be willing and flexible to take a diversion if needed.
Uranus brings change which taps into the mutable side of your Virgo nature. Even though you’re an earth sign and you need security in life, you also crave variety. Bear this in mind throughout May and see what adventures or new experiences you can line up.
Uranus is involved in the Full Moon which takes place on the 12th. This Full Moon falls in Scorpio, one of the water signs and your communication sector. Expand your thinking on or around this Full Moon and open up your world.

Gemini Season
On the 20th, the Sun enters air sign Gemini, the star sign at the peak of your horoscope. Gemini rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation and it’s about your future path in life.
Your ruling planet Mercury will join the Sun in Gemini on the 26th. Plus, the biggest and best planet Jupiter will be in Gemini for most of Gemini season. Put all this together and you’re wise to turn your attention to your career goals, your vocation and your next steps.
There’s a dual theme when planets are in Gemini and you may be making your mark in the fields of diversity and inclusion. Gemini rules communication and is linked to the media, podcasting and the airwaves.
The New Moon in Gemini on the 27th favours new beginnings and would be an excellent date to start a job or launch a career-related project. New Moons are the time to sow seeds, be pro-active and open the lines of communication. Reach out to a role model or person of influence.
It’s a similar theme on the 30th when there’s a lucky Sun-Mercury cazimi conjunction in Gemini. Ask the right questions and you can go far.
Pluto Retrograde
Power planet Pluto turns retrograde in Aquarius and your work and health sector on the 4th. This could transform your lifestyle and your everyday routine. If you’re a typical Virgo, you like to have a daily schedule. Perhaps, Pluto switching direction here will change your attitude to work and health.
Pluto’s the planet of deep learning and psychological transformation. Try not to be too extreme, however, especially when it comes to your health or diet, as Pluto can be an all-or-nothing planetary energy.
Pluto remains retrograde until mid-October. Consider where you’re taking your foot off the pedal, perhaps to ease a stressful situation. Or where you’re wise to embark on inner change before trying to change things externally. This may be linked to the mind or getting in touch with your soul path.
