June 2026 Astrology

Your horoscopes for June are here.

There’s no rush is the major theme moving into June. However, communication planet Mercury is slowing down ready to turn retrograde on June 29

And, it’s at the end of the month when the biggest and best planet Jupiter changes star sign on June 30. This only happens once a year.

Plus, it’s the mid-year Solstice on June 21, an ideal time to stop and reflect on the year so far and reorient your compass moving forward.

July’s astrology is arguably the peak astrology of the year and will require some careful navigation moving forward.

For now, know what brings you comfort and where joy lies. Here’s what’s coming up:

Venus-Jupiter Conjunction

June 9

The two best planets in astrology are Venus and Jupiter. Therefore, it spells good news when these two planets come together in the heavens.

On June 9, they sit side-by-side in the caring and kind star sign Cancer. Cancer represents home, family and security and Jupiter is a protective influence.

Wherever Cancer falls in your horoscope, this is where you could get lucky. Venus-Jupiter themes are big love, abundance, also social get-togethers and major events representing women, art or beauty.

Don’t wait for luck to come your way. Actively engage with life and attract new opportunities in.

Solstice

June 21

June 21 is the day of the Summer or Winter Solstice depending where you live, the longest or shortest day of the year. This is when the Sun moves into Cancer.

Traditionally, this is the day to honour the Sun, whether you witness sunrise at Stonehenge or burn fires or light candles in the Sun’s honour. Many of the world’s oldest monuments are built in alignment with the Sun on the day of the Solstice.

Whatever else is happening in our world, the Sun and Moon continue to rise and set with regularity, a symbol of constancy and hope.

Each one of us has our destiny intertwined with the cosmic universe – look to the planets for reassurance and guidance.

Mercury Retrograde

June 29 to July 23

Mercury enters water sign Cancer on June 1. And, Mercury’s getting ready for its next retrograde phase, which means the planet of communication is slowing down throughout June. Mercury’s retrograde phase takes place from June 29 to July 23 in water sign Cancer.

Here’s your Mercury retrograde preparation list:

  • Back up important files and deal with any technology gremlins
  • Sort out any transport issues and get car problems checked out
  • Have those all-important conversations sooner rather than later
  • Plan a slower pace of life once Mercury’s in retreat – book a retreat or some time out
  • Ideally, make any big decisions or major investments before June 29

Mercury retrograde in water sign Cancer would be a lovely time for a staycation or a trip down memory lane. Return to your past in some shape or form. ‘Slow down’ is Mercury retrograde’s mantra. Know where comfort and safety lie.

Jupiter enters Leo

June 30

The biggest and best planet Jupiter changes star sign at the end of the month. Jupiter leaves water sign Cancer and enters fire sign Leo on June 30 where it will remain until July 26, 2027.

Jupiter takes twelve years to circuit the zodiac bringing its blessings to each star sign for a whole year.

In mythology, Jupiter was a Sky God, linked to expansion, benevolence and protection. Jupiter rules travel, higher education, the law, publishing, religion, truth and justice. It’s where you seek meaning and purpose in life.

Leo is the only star sign of the zodiac ruled by the heat of the Sun. The planet of expansion and opportunity Jupiter is a bountiful influence in Leo where it can exude warmth and generosity. Fire signs are full of vitality and energy and this suits Jupiter’s expansive nature.

At its best, Jupiter’s influence is jovial, fortunate and lucky. Therefore, wherever Jupiter goes, you’re wise to follow as this is where opportunity lies.

Chiron enters Taurus

June 19

Chiron is an asteroid which was discovered in 1977. Its symbolism represents healing and, in the last 50 years, healing has become a buzz word, whether this involves healing the planet, healing others or healing the self.

Chiron begins its journey into earth sign Taurus on June 19. However, Chiron will move back into fire sign Aries on September 18 and only returns to Taurus on April 14, 2027. There it will remain until 2033/2034.

Taurus rules the body, food, nature and the earth. It’s linked to money, productivity, building and farming. As Chiron moves into Taurus, poverty (money) and hunger (food) are desperate situations for many people in the world, two areas that urgently require healing.

On a personal level, a positive way of using Chiron’s move into Taurus would be to love, cherish and honour your own body.

Moon’s Phases

New Moon Gemini

June 15

A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings. Traditionally, a New Moon is the time to launch a project, begin something new and start over.

This is the beginning of the waxing phase of the Moon cycle, an ideal time to set your intentions for the month ahead. Make a wish when you first catch sight of the crescent Moon, a couple of days after the New Moon date.

The New Moon on June 15 falls in air sign Gemini, the sign of communication, both the written and spoken word. Write down your intentions or voice them out loud. It’s a social, networking New Moon phase.

Full Moon Capricorn

June 30

During the Full Moon on June 30, the light of the moon is at its peak, shining a light on your situation. Traditionally, a Full Moon is the time to trust your intuition, make important decisions and bring matters to completion or culmination.

This is the start of the waning phase of the Moon cycle, an ideal time to release and let go of what’s no longer needed in your life. At this Full Moon, the Sun is in Cancer and the Moon is in Capricorn, the two traditional star signs.

Cancer and Capricorn uphold the past and remind you of the importance of permanency in your life, strong values, your roots and where you come from. It’s a powerful Full Moon to get real, be decisive and do what’s necessary. Duty, responsibility and loyalty are key themes during the Full Moon phase.
