Jupiter enters Cancer – June 9
The big news this month is the biggest and best planet Jupiter changing star sign. Jupiter leaves air sign Gemini and enters water sign Cancer on June 9 where it will remain until June 30, 2026.
Jupiter takes twelve years to circuit the zodiac bringing its blessings to each star sign for a whole year.
In mythology, Jupiter was a Sky God, linked to expansion, benevolence and protection. Jupiter rules travel, higher education, the law, publishing, religion, truth and justice. It’s where you seek meaning and purpose in life.
At its best, Jupiter’s influence is jovial, fortunate and lucky. Therefore, wherever Jupiter goes, you’re wise to follow as this is where opportunity lies.
Cancer is the star sign of homes and families and Jupiter expands what it touches. Home extends to the clan and the country you live in or where you were born.
Jupiter excels in Cancer as one of Jupiter’s names is the Great Protector. Therefore, in Cancer, Jupiter’s influence is empathic, caring and compassionate.
While Jupiter’s moving through Cancer, you may appreciate more affection and hugs. Gather your loved ones around you, plant your garden, encourage flowers and love to grow and flourish. Cancer is a sentimental star sign and nostalgia is likely to be a key theme.

There is a proviso this month, however, because Jupiter will clash with Saturn and Neptune in Aries on June 15 & June 19.
Aries’ energy is represented by ‘me, me, me’ a counter-influence to Jupiter’s caring and empathic influence in Cancer.
The themes that are likely to play out around the world are already evident. ‘My home, your home’ is an obvious example as some countries witness the rise of fascism and far right politics kicks in.
Jupiter in Cancer may bring a baby boom and baby bonuses but for what purpose? Elon Musk is a Sun Cancer and he has 14 children with different wives.
Cancer rules the womb in astrology and a woman’s right to decide around abortion is another hot topic.

Sun conjunct Jupiter Cancer – June 24
Jupiter has a reputation for luck and good fortune. This month brings the annual Sun/Jupiter conjunction on June 24 which is often touted as one of the luckiest days of the year.
If it’s your birthday towards the end of June, celebrate by doing something special. If it’s not your birthday, do something special anyway.
This is one of the luckiest planetary combinations between the Sun and Jupiter, symbolising visionary plans, big goals, a search for meaning, and a connection with the divine.
Look out for new opportunities coming your way, and notice when and where you can say yes to life. The Sun-Jupiter conjunction is about making the best out of any situation, looking on the bright side and spreading optimism.
Gemini Season
The Sun remains in air sign Gemini until June 21. At the start of the month, talk planet Mercury is side-by-side with the Sun, an alliance of planets in collaborative air signs, great for being social, having fun and sharing ideas.
Jupiter makes a powerful conjunction to Mercury in Gemini on June 8 before both planets change star sign.
This combination favours luck and opportunity, tests and exams and is a symbol of good news.
During June, there’s a shift from air, the element ruling communication, ideas and networks, to water, the element ruling emotions, instincts and empathy. The planetary focus is on making connections and appreciating the ones you love.
Solstice – June 21
June 21 is the day of the Summer or Winter Solstice depending where you live, the longest or shortest day of the year. This is when the Sun moves into Cancer.
Traditionally, this is the day to honour the Sun, whether you witness sunrise at Stonehenge, burn fires or light candles in the Sun’s honour.
Many of the world’s oldest monuments are built in alignment with the Sun on the day of the Solstice.
Whatever else is happening in our world, the Sun and Moon continue to rise and set with regularity, a symbol of constancy and hope.
Each one of us has our destiny intertwined with the cosmic universe – look to the planets for reassurance and guidance.

Full Moon Sagittarius – June 11
During the Full Moon on June 11, the light of the moon is at its peak, shining a light on your situation. Traditionally, a Full Moon is the time to trust your intuition, make important decisions and bring matters to completion or culmination.
This is the start of the waning phase of the Moon cycle, an ideal time to release and let go of what’s no longer needed in your life.
The Full Moon cuts across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac linked to foreign affairs, global connections, education, culture and the media.
New Moon Cancer – June 25
A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings. Traditionally, a New Moon is the time to launch a project, begin something new and start over.
This is the beginning of the waxing phase of the Moon cycle, an ideal time to set your intentions for the month ahead. Make a wish when you first catch sight of the crescent Moon, a couple of days after the New Moon date.
This month’s New Moon falls in water sign Cancer on June 25, an emotional and sensitive star sign. It’s a lovely New Moon for family get-togethers and attracting more comfort and security into your life.
