If you know anything about astrology, you may already know that March heralds two big astrological events: Saturn entering Pisces on the 7th and Pluto entering Aquarius on the 23rd. I’ve addressed what both these events mean for you in separate sections at the bottom of this month’s horoscope.
Pisces Season
The Sun remains in Pisces and your friendship and group sector until the 20th. Talk planet Mercury is here too from the 2nd to the 19th. Therefore, this is likely to be a time when you’re enjoying your friendships, associations and group collaborations.
Even if there’s a side to your nature that wants to go it alone, the emotional connections you make with other people are likely to be helpful and supportive this month.
However, you may be reassessing your friendships and your membership of a group, club or society. This could be highlighted during the Full Moon on the 7th, the same date as Saturn enters Pisces – see below. Saturn’s theme is ‘commit or quit’ and the Full Moon is a time to trust your intuition and make a key decision.
You could step into a position of responsibility. Or, perhaps you’re part of a social or group event helping to bring other people together. Often with Pisces, there’s a theme of sacrifice or surrender, giving something up to benefit other people, for example. This could play out in different ways, via a charity or passing on what you own.
Venus Vibes
Being a Sun Taurus, your ruling planet is Venus linked to love and money, art and beauty. Up until the 16th, Venus is in Aries and the most private sector of your horoscope. This could flag up a love affair or represent secret or unrequited feelings.
Perhaps, you’re trying to let go of someone from your past or liberate yourself from a relationship that’s holding you back. This is one way the lovely Venus-Jupiter conjunction could play out on the 2nd.
Yet, there’s a spiritual aspect to Venus/Jupiter in Aries and it may be the right time to take a leap of faith. You could have a strong sense that what you give you receive in return. When you have trust and hope in abundance, miracles happen. See what unfolds as the month begins and be open to the wonder of life.
On the 16th, your planet Venus enters Taurus where she remains until April 11th. It’s always a lovely time of year when you have the second-best planet lighting up your star sign. You often feel more attractive to others and can see your popularity soar.
It’s an ideal time to indulge yourself and be true to your Taurus nature. Revel in the senses, dive deep into the bounty of nature, favour comfort over stress and slow down the pace of life. Love could be foreground with Venus here – key dates for love this month are the 7th, 11th & 30th.
There’s an abundant feel to Venus in Taurus, a time when you may attract more of what you want or need. This could be linked to what’s happening with Mars in your money sector – see below.
In general, this is a top month to get people on your side, ask for support or friendship when you need it and don’t feel that you have to try and achieve the impossible. As a Sun Taurus, you know more than most that happiness comes via contentment and the easy, natural flow of life.
Mars Moves On
Action planet Mars has been in Gemini and your personal money sector for the last seven months, an unusually long time. Mars entered Gemini in August 2022 and turned retrograde here in the last two months of 2022 and the first half of January 2023.
On the 16th, Mars leaves its shadow phase and this could be the time to solve a problem or issue that’s been bothering you for a while. Yet, this may not be possible without some sense of disappointment or disillusionment.
Perhaps, you have to let down a friend or group in your life. Or, maybe you’re the one who needs to let go of a financial deal. Trust your emotions here and know that some paths work out, while others lead you nowhere. The period from the 14th to the 17th could be unusually tricky to negotiate. Take a step back rather than rush in.
Mars leaves Gemini on the 25th and enters emotional Cancer and your communication sector. Therefore, you may realise this month that people are more important to you than material gain. Certainly, you may experience a major shift around where you’re heading and why – see Saturn & Pluto below.
Aries Season
The 20th is the Equinox, the date when the Sun moves into Aries and starts its journey around the zodiac once again. This is the most hidden sector of your horoscope. There’s a lot happening here around the Equinox date. Talk planet Mercury enters Aries on the 19th and there’s a New Moon, a symbol of new beginnings on the 21st.
You may find that secrets emerge or news that’s been hidden comes to light. The focus is on your inner world whether you’re dealing with a sensitive issue or a personal challenge.
There’s a chance for progress but this may mean letting go of certain plans or things that haven’t worked out. In a way, it’s about wrapping things up and bringing projects to completion so you can create the space for new ideas and activities to emerge.
Traditionally, when planets are in Aries, this is about being on your own rather than with other people. There’s a solitary feel to Aries, the sign linked to the individual.
Sometimes, events conspire against you to bring a period of solitude or alone-ness. You may be feeling under the weather or want more time to yourself to deal with a personal situation. Other times, you’re looking after people who need you. This can bring out the caring side of your nature, your earth mother archetype.
Lucky Jupiter has been in Aries for some time and it’s here where Jupiter’s good fortune and faith is present for you. The Mercury-Jupiter conjunction happens on the 28th, a date when you’re wise to be open to whatever life brings your way. This can be the stuff of miracles, a direct link to the divine or a spiritual path. Trust what unfolds in March and go wherever life leads you.
Saturn Enters Pisces – March 7
Saturn is the planet of rules and regulation, authority, discipline and boundaries. Since December 2017, Saturn has been in Capricorn and Aquarius, its two signs of rulership. Saturn rules with a firm hand during this period.
This month, Saturn moves into Pisces, the last star sign and an emotional water sign, which is unknown territory for the planet representing boundaries. Pisces is where the ego dissolves and you encounter the vast universe, the one-ness of life.
Will the unreal become real as fantasy, the imagination and the impossible become possible? Or, will Saturn bring structure and form to Pisces’ realm, e.g. the sea, drugs, the media, spirituality? The last time Saturn was in Pisces was 1993-1996 and this time around, Saturn remains in Pisces until 2026.
Saturn’s move into Pisces could unlock a block or obstacle that’s been holding you back, perhaps in your career or vocation. You may have a clearer sense of where you’re heading and why.
You could step up to take on a new role and what happens this month is the catalyst or trigger. Community, politics, environmental and humanitarian concerns may become more significant for you moving forwards.
Pisces rules your friendships and group activities. Will you be a rock for someone close in your life? Or, will one friendship group come to an end?
Pluto Enters Aquarius – March 23
The slowest-moving planet Pluto changes star sign this month and moves into Aquarius. Pluto is the planet of power & transformation, loss & endings. The last time Pluto changed star sign was 2008 when it entered Capricorn, the sign of big business, coinciding with a financial crash.
It will take Pluto eighteen months before it’s established in Aquarius, the star sign linked to technology, equality and the collective, where it will remain until 2043.
As Pluto’s a generational planet, the themes may not resonate with you immediately. Yet, it’s helpful to note where Pluto is strong in your horoscope and where there may be a theme of transformation, loss or deep psychological change.
Pluto’s been moving through Capricorn, a fellow earth sign, ruling the part of your horoscope that’s about travel and study, philosophy and religion, i.e. the bigger picture of life. Perhaps, your beliefs and ethics changed significantly over recent years. Or, you emigrated or moved to a different city.
Pluto’s move into Aquarius highlights your career and vocation sector, your status and reputation. Will you become a ‘plutocrat’ and step into a position of power? Or, will you recognise that one path in life is leading you down a dead end and it’s time to rise like a phoenix from the ashes?
