Happy New Year! Hooray – 2020 is over and we’re moving into a brand new year.
Your ruling planet Mars finally leaves Aries on the 6th after six long months in this sector of your horoscope. Aries rules work and health, your lifestyle and routine and you may have been fighting hard in these areas. It’s time to take a breather or find a different way to go about things.
Capricorn Themes
Venus, the planet of relating, is in Capricorn from the 8th onwards and this could be a positive sign for you. Venus is about compromise and negotiation and smoothing over any troubled waters.
If you’ve been involved in an ongoing conflict or argument for some time now, Venus is urging you to hold out the olive branch of peace.
At least, that’s one alternative. You could just as easily decide to close the door on a problem or issue that’s not going away and you realise this month that the best solution is to take a step back. This could be linked to an issue with a sister or neighbour or be about an argument that’s not dying down.
Pluto is a key planet this month, your co-ruler, also in Capricorn. When Pluto’s active, events are final and ultimatums are given. Pluto is strong on the 5th, 14th and 28th. Also, during the New Moon in Capricorn on the 13th.
Pluto represents power as well as loss and you could find yourself taking on an influential role or getting your voice heard. Capricorn is your communication sector and Pluto’s theme is regeneration and transformation.
Relationships & Breaking Free
Your traditional ruler Mars also moves into one of the people sectors of your horoscope as it enters Taurus on the 8th.
Taurus is your opposite star sign and rules your relationships. People are important now, whether you’re seeking a role model, you meet an influential teacher or you’re getting on the right side of the people who count.
Alternatively, you could be the one influencing or teaching others. Either way, work your relationships but, at the same time, don’t let other people get away with bad behaviour.
Mars is in feisty mood this month which could still make for some tempestuous or argumentative battles – new ones perhaps. You might be fighting for other people’s rights, defending the underdog or taking on your own personal battle.
Mars brings passion and excitement your way too and a relationship could start unexpectedly and suddenly. Notice what occurs on or around the 20th when Mars unites with unpredictable Uranus in Taurus.
There is a theme of freedom too, especially when Jupiter is pulled into the mix. Mars squares up to Jupiter on the 23rd and there’s a Jupiter-Uranus square aspect on the 17th. Who or what are you breaking free from is a good question to ask.
Aquarius Themes
Jupiter is currently in Aquarius, the star sign of the moment, linked to your home and family, your past and where you come from. Talk planet Mercury moves here on the 8th followed by the Sun on the 19th. Jupiter’s bringing opportunity, expansion and growth to these key areas of your life.
Note in particular the 11th and 29th when Jupiter unites with first Mercury and then the Sun. These are potentially lucky dates, whether you’re emigrating, reuniting with family or you find your dream home. Have hope and faith that things will work out.
The Full Moon on the 28th is a stand-out date to make a clear decision about your foundations and your future path. This is about the home-work balance and setting new structures in place, making new plans that you can build on moving forward.
The more you put into these key areas of your life the better as Mercury turns retrograde in Aquarius on the 30th, the last day of the month. It’s a month to be bold and brave-hearted and to fight hard for the things and people you love.
