Venus Retrograde
It’s a complex month astrologically. Your ruling planet Venus turned retrograde mid-December and remains on go slow until January 29th. It may have been an intense holiday period for you as Venus dived into the underworld conjunct Pluto.
This may have brought up deep emotions, secrets or hidden matters. You may have been transported back to the past. Or, perhaps you were missing someone in the family who’s no longer with you. Or, you and your loved ones were unable to be together.
As Venus remains on go slow for most of January down at the base of your horoscope, take your time and explore your deeper emotions. Allow yourself to grieve if necessary.
Alternatively, you may be redecorating your home or changing things around. Sometimes, the Venus retrograde phase indicates a slower pace and a longing or yearning for the past and simple pleasures. You could be experiencing your own version of Long Lost Family.
Mercury Retrograde
Also this month, communication planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 14th and remains on go slow until February 4th. This is another reason not to rush into 2022 and where possible do less not more.
An ideal way of spending the Mercury retrograde phase is to retreat and wind down so you can find a new perspective on your current situation. Some plans may unravel during the Mercury retrograde phase but be flexible and know that misunderstandings may rife.
You could reconnect with someone from your past during this Mercury retrograde. A childhood sweetheart or someone who played a key role in your upbringing.
– It is a good month to reorient your compass and decide where enjoyment and pleasure lie. Don’t get too bogged down in the past that you forget to enjoy the present day. Action planet Mars is strong in Sagittarius and your communication sector until the 24th.
Plus, Mercury is in Aquarius and a social part of your horoscope for most of the month ahead. Put this together and you need people in your life to talk to, socialise with and collaborate with. Find your tribe, your community.
