There are four elements in astrology – fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). The four elements represent different qualities and water is the element linked to emotion, intuition and the flow of creativity and the spiritual realm.
Big planet Jupiter has been in water sign Cancer since June 9 and shaman Saturn returned to Pisces on September 1. Jupiter and Saturn are making a powerful trine aspect in the sky throughout November as they are both at 25° of their respective star signs.
This means that as the four faster-moving planetary bodies, the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars all move through water sign Scorpio, they create a Grand Water Trine with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces.
Grand Water Trines
Why is this important? A Grand Trine creates a flow and, in the element water, this is a triple dose of emotion, compassion and empathy which can inspire hope and faith and create an opportunity to turn dreams into reality. The Grand Water Trine has psychic and healing potential.
This does, however, generate a lot of water and emotion. Water can dissolve or drown or you drift away on the tide, lost at sea. It’s all well and good going with the flow and being in touch with your feelings but then what?
Knowing how to express yourself or how to channel your emotions is the next step. Effectively, you need to be able to surf through the waves of emotion in order to ride them out and reach the shore with a surge of passion and heart-felt feelings.
If you have a horoscope that’s awash with water signs or you have planets/angles close to 25° Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces, these Grand Water Trines could be your baby, your opportunity.
You may already have a good understanding of how water signs work in your life as it’s where you find qualities such as compassion, love and sensitivity, as well as melancholy, sadness and tears.
This is where the richness and depth of life is to be found. Without an emotional connection to life and to others, you’re left with a blank landscape.
An Emotional Overflow
These Grand Water Trines are urging you to tap into your emotions deeply. Rather than be scared of them, feel them and experience them fully. Sometimes, the best way to release challenging emotions is to be in them, move through them and let them go.
While there’s an overflow of water in the heavens, why not dip your toe into the water of new experiences and consider where in life you will go deeper and be true to your feelings.
Water signs are the source of creative inspiration and many of the greatest works of art and the masterpieces have come into being via the emotional realm. It’s no surprise in astrology that the 5th house of creativity is also the house of ‘giving birth’.
Water is the source of life. Whether you’re ready to open a door on a wonderful opportunity or make a simple gesture to someone you love or care about, lean into this watery flow. Emotions can be overwhelming but Saturn is acting as an anchor. Use these Grand Water Trines wisely and with compassion.
