Ready, Set, Go
This month feels like ready, set, go as your ruling planet Mercury whizzes through three different star signs. Firstly, Mercury is in fire sign Aries until the 10th, alongside the planet of love and relating Venus.
Aries rules your friends, also the society you live in, your group connections and group dynamics. Therefore, this isn’t the time to go it alone. Love and friendship go hand in hand, especially as the goddess of love Venus is in Aries all month.
Key dates for group connections are the 2nd when there’s a spiritual and inspirational Venus/Neptune conjunction in Aries. Also, the 5th when Mercury aligns with lucky Jupiter in your star sign Gemini. Jupiter expands what it touches and is the planet linked to good fortune. You could be celebrating, falling in love or receive good news.
There’s another planet moving into Aries on the 25th, the planet of responsibility and authority Saturn. Most importantly for you, Saturn is leaving behind the star sign Pisces and your career and vocation sector for three months until September 1st.
This could unlock a block or obstacle that’s been holding you back, perhaps in your career or regarding your future path. You may start to have a clearer sense of where you’re heading and why.
When Saturn moves into Aries, you could step up to take on a new role and what happens this month is the catalyst or trigger. Community, politics, environmental and humanitarian concerns may become more significant for you moving forward.
As Aries rules your friendships and group activities, will you be a strong support for someone in your life, a shoulder to lean on? Or will one friendship or group activity come to an end?
Joyful Connections
A positive shift for you this month is the movement of planets through fire signs and the social sectors of your horoscope. In addition to the planets in Aries, action planet Mars is in Leo throughout May. This is where Mars was at the end of 2024.
Leo not only rules communication in your horoscope, your forte, also your local community, siblings and neighbours. Therefore, this may be a month when you actively choose to reach out to your community. Or perhaps, you’re on a mission to make new friends.
Ensure you have people in your life who boost your spirits, make you laugh and help you stay optimistic and upbeat, whatever else is going on for you. You may be enjoying festivals or be exploring your neighbourhood. Anything that lifts your spirits is the right kind of vibe.
Plus, making new friends could lead to love as Venus and Mars were lovers in mythology and they unite on the 22nd. This would be a lovely date to initiate a new connection or ask someone out.
Pace Your Self
Even though your ruling planet Mercury moves through three star signs this month and there’s plenty of fire sign action, this doesn’t mean you’re not encouraged to slow down at times.
This is because the Sun is in Taurus and the most hidden sector of your horoscope up until the 20th. Plus, your ruler Mercury is in Taurus from the 10th to the 26th.
Traditionally, when planets are in Taurus, you’re advised to turn your attention inward, take time out, rest and retreat. Taurus rules secrets and privacy in your horoscope.
There is another planet in Taurus, however, the planet of change Uranus. On the 17th & 24th, Uranus teams up with first the Sun and then your planet Mercury. These dates could coincide with insights, coincidences or synchronicities. Your intuition may be unusually strong. Or perhaps, you’re finding new or alternative ways to recharge your batteries.
Expect the unexpected when Uranus is in action. This could flag up a time when you need extreme self-care. Or perhaps, someone close requires your time, love and attention. You could find yourself having to chop and change your schedule or routine, because of external events.
The Full Moon takes place this month on the 12th and Uranus is active during the Full Moon phase. This Full Moon highlights your work and health, so take note of your stress levels and don’t overdo things mid-month. If work or health’s an issue, this could cause some sleepless nights and you’d be wise to go full on with meditation or relaxation techniques.
Gemini Season
Fast forward to the 20th and it’s Gemini season. This means you have the warmth, vitality and energy of the Sun in your star sign and it’s the beginning of your birthday month. Plus, your ruling planet Mercury joins the Sun in Gemini on the 26th.
This is your cue to put yourself first and do more of what you love. Be a true Gemini – talk, debate, be curious about life, study, learn more, speak a language, have fun. Your star sign is social and happy, when life is easy and light.
This month’s New Moon falls in Gemini on the 27th, an ideal date to set your intentions not only for the month ahead but the year ahead as well. This is your birthday season so make the most of it and celebrate you.
A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings, a chance to start over and begin again. Where in life are you ready to make a fresh start? Use the pro-active energy after the New Moon to implement a new habit or start a new skill.
The 30th feels especially clever and quick when the Sun and Mercury come together in a special cazimi connection. Listen out for great ideas or find your voice.
Pluto Retrograde
Power planet Pluto turns retrograde at the start of the month on the 4th. Pluto’s in Aquarius and lights up your travel and study sector. You could decide not to travel or fly and play your part in climate change once Pluto switches direction .
Or perhaps, you’re about to embark on a period of intense study. Pluto’s retrograde until mid-October and this turns your attention inwards. You might be preparing to dive into your life’s work. Or to embark on a period of deep psychological transformation linked to religion, philosophy or your spiritual path.
You might have some big decisions to make this month, perhaps regarding travel or study. At times, your dreams could seem beyond your reach, impossible to attain. Yet, for something new to begin, you may first have to let go of a long-held dream, plan or project.
