Career Goals

There’s some lively planetary activity at the peak of your horoscope throughout May. This is because the planet of communication Mercury is in Aries and your career and vocation sector up until the 10th. And, the planet of relating Venus is back in Aries throughout May.

This is your time and there’s a theme of second chances.  Therefore, you’re wise to do whatever’s necessary to get yourself noticed. Be around the right people and this could boost your profile and position in life. Trust and have faith that things will work out for you and actively engage with your next steps.

Aries rules your status and reputation too. The 5th is potentially a stand-out date when lucky Jupiter teams up with Mercury, a symbol of good news. Reach out to other people and cash in on your good karma.

There’s another important planet moving into Aries on the 25th and that planet is Saturn. Saturn’s the planet of authority and responsibility and will remain in Aries until September 1st.

Therefore, you’re wise to dust off your ambition, get on track with where you’re heading and why. Have a strong purpose or mission for your life and tap into the side of your nature that has leadership potential. 

You’re one of the cardinal star signs and can take the lead when you need to. This may be in a business role. Or perhaps, as the head of a large family. It could be at your church or in your community, wherever you have people around you who need your kindness, loving care and guidance.

Once Saturn is in Aries, you may be ready to step into a new role or position of responsibility. Alternatively, you may be considering retirement or your current job or role is coming to an end. Both are possible as Saturn represents authority and commitment, also endings.

Sometimes Saturn in your career sector indicates a powerful boss or authority figure in your life. A good question to ask is where would it be most meaningful and worthwhile to channel your time and energy over the next two years?

Money Matters

In addition, action planet Mars is back in fire sign Leo this month. This puts money and earnings centre stage. Perhaps, you’re returning to a project which first started at the end of 2024 but then stalled or the timing wasn’t right to make further progress.

Throughout the month of May, you may have more drive to deal with finances or money matters. Relationships could be caught up with money too and you’re wise to work alongside other people and aim to be part of a successful team.

Venus in Aries teams up with Mars in Leo on the 22nd, ideal for working alliances. Or you find the right person to meet your needs. Alternatively, you’re going into business with a personal partner.

Friends & Allies

One thing’s for sure, people matter this month. Your best allies are likely to be your friends, especially trusted friends who you’ve known a long time. It’s important to be around people who make you laugh and are kind and supportive. 

This is because the Sun is in Taurus and your friendship and group sector up until the 20th. Plus, talk planet Mercury joins the Sun in Taurus from the 10th to the 26th. Get the right people on your side and you’ll be more successful.

Your friends are the people to talk to if there’s someone in your life who’s causing a problem, either personally or professionally. This might be an ex, your boss or someone you’re tied to in some other way. Lean on the people you trust this month as this will help you feel more grounded and steady.

Also, the planet of change Uranus remains in Taurus and is active on the 17th & 24th. On the one hand, this suggests that your friends will bring you excitement. Be around people who are alternative and unconventional or try out a new group, club or society.

This is about what you believe in and doing your bit for society. Uranus in Taurus is stirring things up, perhaps in a good way. It’s via your friends, your community or a group in your life that you can have a blast or start a revolution. Join together with other people and you can make a difference.

In addition, the Full Moon takes place on the 12th and cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac. This is a social Full Moon and it would be a great date for organising a get-together or do something special. You can’t count out finding love on this Full Moon as Scorpio rules your romance sector.

In fact, love could be unusually exciting during this Full Moon, perhaps more so for new love rather than a long-term relationship. It’s important that any relationship allows you breathing space. 

If someone’s not good for you or holding on too tight, you’ll feel it mid-month. Things could happen fast so be aware that this may be an emotional Full Moon for you.

Gemini Season

The Sun moves into Gemini and the most hidden sector of your horoscope on the 20th. The Sun is followed by talk planet Mercury moving into Gemini on the 26th. This is about inner conversation and inner work, whatever this means to you personally.

Perhaps, you’re exploring a spiritual path, learning meditation or practising gratitude or affirmation. It’s about your mind-set and talking yourself into a place of well-being. Don’t underestimate the power of the mind when the Sun and Mercury are in the star sign of communication.

The New Moon takes place in Gemini on the 27th, an ideal time to prioritise the mind-body-soul connection and work holistically. It’s an ideal New Moon for prayer or contemplation.

Create some time and space for yourself to write down or say out loud your intentions around your next steps. You may be reading more or journalling on a regular basis. Communicate and speak up about what you want in the last week of May. This is true for the New Moon phase, also the 30th.

Pluto Retrograde

Power planet Pluto turns retrograde in Aquarius and your joint finance sector on the 4th. This means that work and money are under the cosmic spotlight. Shift your focus to money, investments and your future security.

If you’re a typical Sun Cancer, you hold on tight to money and security. Pluto here could change that. It’s not just about money, however, but energy, metaphysics and the esoteric realm.

Pluto was God of the Underworld and Aquarius represents the part of your horoscope that’s to do with all things hidden, even taboo. You might take a leap of faith into the unknown and choose to explore hidden or secret knowledge on a deeper level.

Whatever you’re keen to delve deeper into, know that Pluto will be retrograde until mid-October turning your attention inward. You might rein in your spending or have a savings goal in mind. Be careful you don’t over-extend your budget trying to join in with other people. If one event is too expensive, you might be wise to say no.
