Full Moon Virgo: Mercury Turns Direct

Full Moon

FULL MOON [19 Virgo 37] – Monday 9th March (17:48 GMT)

Mercury turns direct [28 Aquarius 13] – Tuesday 10th March (03:49 GMT)

Sun Pisces sextile Jupiter Capricorn – Wednesday 11th March (12:27 GMT)

Full Moon Virgo

It’s a busy few days of astrology ahead. Firstly, on Monday 9th March, there’s a Full Moon, the pinnacle of the moon cycle. During this week’s Full Moon, the Moon is in the analytical sign of Virgo, ruled by Mercury, and the Sun is in go-with-the-flow Pisces, ruled by Jupiter & Neptune.

Opposite signs in the zodiac have opposite natures and they can learn from each other. Virgo is the sign of analysis and excellent at paying attention to detail. At its best, a perfectionist, orderly & precise; at its worst a worrier, overly critical & demanding.

At this Full Moon of order (Virgo) v. confusion (Pisces), perfectionism (Virgo) v. go with the flow (Pisces), the first step is to consider what you could let go of, which decisions you can postpone for a while, what’s urgent, what’s not.

There are times when you need to actively download your mind, to stop, to empty it out. How can you slow down, relax, chill out? Any activity where you can stop the chatter in your head and tap into your intuitive instinctive nature is of huge benefit now.

So, while the Full Moon is in Virgo, do get your life in order, attend to your diet, tweak your daily habits, stick to your deadline but don’t try and order your life so meticulously that there’s no room for flow and ease.

Mercury Turns Direct

The day after the Full Moon, Virgo’s ruler, Mercury turns direct in air sign Aquarius on Tuesday 10th March. These two events seem closely linked as Mercury rules the Full Moon and both planetary phenomena indicate light and truth.

The light of the Full Moon brings clarity and Mercury turning direct sheds light and new information on all that’s been hidden. The beginning of the new week could, therefore, bring a significant turning point. At the very least, now’s the time to trust your intuition and start making wise decisions.

Also this week, Jupiter is the planet of hope and faith and teams up with the Sun on Wednesday 11th March. Be hopeful, be generous and kind, be faithful to the life you choose to live and let go of the setbacks graciously. Jupiter often wafts a little bit of cosmic magic and luck – accept it willingly.

Pisces’ Realm

Admittedly, we are still in Pisces’ realm as Pisces’ co-rulers, Jupiter and Neptune dominate during the Full Moon and Mercury dives back into Pisces on March 16th. Mercury’s shadow phase completes on March 29th.

These are confusing times we live in. More than ever, it’s important to get real about the facts but not lose yourself in the frenzy of the media – a perfect message of this week’s Full Moon – Virgo (facts) v. Pisces (media). We can already see people divided over how to react or respond regarding the current virus crisis.

Find your personal tricks and tools to conjure up magic and mystery in a good way this week. Listen out for and seek the turning points, the news, truth or information that enables you to regain your strength, your grace, your down-to-earth common sense. Make the right decisions, trust your intuition.

Mercury, the planet of facts, figures & communication is back on side and working well – use his skills wisely, do what you can, get life back on track.

  1. I’m meeting a friend for lunch. He’s born in 1966 with Venus-Uranus-Pluto close to the full moon degree. Saturn and Chiron further on in late Pisces.

A lot of his generation are in the same boat and neptune is slowly undoing their rigidness and inflexibility that’s held them back with their need to save others or be rescued themselves.

Will be interested to hear what he’s got to say.
