Full Moon [23 Libra 20]
April 13 2025 (01:22 GMT+1)
This weekend’s Full Moon falls in the star sign Libra, cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac – me (Aries) versus you (Libra). Yet, the theme of a Full Moon is to be aware of opposites and learn how to balance them well.
This may be especially true of a Full Moon in Libra, whose zodiac symbol is the scales. This Full Moon is often referred to as the Pink Moon, fitting for the star sign Libra which favours pastel and light pink colours.
Full Moon Rituals
Full Moon rituals are becoming more popular. Wherever you live, you may not be far from a Full Moon community gathering. The Full Moon is a time of celebration when the light of the moon is at its brightest. It’s an ideal time to honour the stars and planets and your place within the universe.
A Full Moon often brings clarity and insight. This is the realm of the unconscious, the night world and all that’s hidden. It’s about trusting your inner knowingness and doing what feels right.
As a Full Moon is the culmination of the moon cycle, it’s an ideal time to consider what no longer serves you. Use the power of the Full Moon to release and let go of unwanted emotions and thoughts.
Moon Libra – Peace & Love
Libra’s zodiac symbol is the Scales. If you are born with the Moon in Libra, you thrive in a peaceful and harmonious environment and appreciate relationships that are in balance. In whatever star sign you find the Moon in your horoscope, this is where your emotional needs are met.
Libra is the star sign of the zodiac that is said to be averse to conflict. Yet, when you’re born with the sign of the scales dominant in your birth chart, you invariably have to deal with inequality in your life and you are naturally drawn into relationship issues.
Often, it’s a case of trying to balance the scales rather than live in a world of constant equilibrium and harmony.
Full Moon & Relationships
At this Full Moon, consider where balance is needed in your own life. Many of us are currently starting over in some way. This is the ideal time to do so while the Sun is in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. 0° Aries is a pivotal degree throughout April and up until February 2026.
You may have to consider other people in your life more than usual during the Full Moon phase, especially if have extra demands on your time and attention. Or perhaps, you’re helping others or dealing with a lot of one-to-one encounters.
Here too, try and ensure that the Libra scales are balanced. If not entirely harmonious, at least aim for compromise, equality and fairness.
Close relationships fall under scrutiny at the Full Moon when the Sun in Aries opposes the Moon in Libra. Aries is the sign of the ego, where the Sun can shine bright. Me first, my agenda, not yours.
Libra’s the opposite principle. Please, you go first, what do you think, you decide. Notice your differences in relationships and try not to make one another wrong.
Relationship issues may flare up during this Full Moon when emotions are heightened and drama is intensified. If you’re apart from loved ones, you may find it a challenge during this Full Moon phase. Craving love, wanting to be in someone’s arms, needing your loved ones close.
Venus’ Power
This Full Moon is especially powerful for two reasons. Firstly, Libra is ruled by Venus and the planet of love turns direct one hour after the Full Moon so the two events are linked. Venus turned retrograde in fire sign Aries on March 2nd. Venus in Aries is a symbol of ‘girl power’, a strong independent woman.
Then, at the end of March, Venus moved back into Pisces, a softer, gentler placing for the planet of relationships. At its best, Venus in Pisces is unconditional love.
Therefore, this weekend is likely to be important for love and relationships and the balance of power between the feminine and the masculine. And, it’s not as simple as saying women versus men.
Instead, consider the way you interact with others and whether you choose love or anger. Emotions are complex and it’s important to feel them all. Yet, be mindful in your interactions and consciously choose how you want to be around other people.
Chiron, The Wounded Healer
The asteroid Chiron is also in the mix during the Full Moon, as it sits tightly next to the Sun. The Sun/Chiron conjunction falls at 22° Aries and is exact on Saturday 12th.
Chiron can represent a wound but also the ability to heal. The power of the Sun and Chiron in Aries tips the balance away from the Moon in Libra. Notice what arises for you. Where are you dealing with pain and can you use the Full Moon energy to release old hurts or wounds?
This Full Moon follows on from the Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29th. Something may have come full circle since then bringing closure or completion.
Yet, there’s a bigger cycle playing out as the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle, which began in April 2023, is now complete. Events this weekend could be resonant to what was happening two years ago. Consider how your relationships have changed.
What Does It Mean For You?
The Aries/Libra axis is about relationships but these two star signs rule specific areas of your life. Notice where your scales are out of kilter and need realignment. Read both your Sun sign and your Ascendant sign:

- Gemini: Friends, groups and networks – self-expression, creativity, children and affairs
