The Bigger Picture
Life may start to feel easier this month especially as there’s strong emphasis on the star sign Libra, a fellow air sign. When planets are in Libra, you’re back in the realm of logic and rationality when you can work things out strategically, rather than relying on intuition or emotion.
Talk planet Mercury is in Libra until the 6th and the Sun remains here until the 23rd. Plus, the planet of relating Venus enters Libra on the 13th.
Libra rules travel and study in your horoscope, the bigger picture of life. Therefore, you may be away this month or be planning a holiday or adventure. When planets in Libra, you’re often keen to expand your horizons and improve your knowledge.
It’s a good time to stimulate your curiosity and step out of your everyday routine. Actively engage with other people and events that are different and inspiring.
If you’re a typical Aquarius, you don’t want to do everything on your own. This month, you may be more interested in joining in with a group of people and finding people of like minds.

Full Moon/New Moon
Also this month, the Full Moon and New Moon cut across the Libra/Aries axis of the zodiac highlighting education and travel, religion and beliefs. The Full Moon takes place on the 7th with the Moon in passionate Aries, one of the fire signs. Aries is the star sign of the individual, a reminder of the power of individual action to make a difference in the world.
You could be joining in with other people on or around the Full Moon to protest or stand up for what you believe. The Full Moon is a powerful time to make a big decision, perhaps around travel or study, culture or learning. You might be at a workshop or course during the Full Moon phase.
Or perhaps, you’re abroad and liaising with people from different backgrounds or cultures. If you’re true to your star sign birthright, you’re the humanitarian sign of the zodiac, a global citizen.
Then, on the 21st, there’s a New Moon in air sign Libra, a symbol of new beginnings. This means that there’s more than one opportunity this month to say yes to life and broaden your experience of the world and all that lies within it.
A New Moon is an ideal date to start a new venture and step out of your comfort zone.
Career Goals
There’s another reason why this isn’t a month to play small or think small. This is because of the emphasis on the star sign Scorpio at the peak of your horoscope. Scorpio rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation, the gateway to your future path.
Scorpio season starts officially on the 23rd when the Sun moves into Scorpio. However, this month, there’s plenty of Scorpio intensity earlier on. Firstly, communication planet Mercury is in Scorpio from the 6th to the 29th. This is often a peak time for negotiations, meetings and interviews.
Secondly, action planet Mars is in Scorpio throughout October and Mars represents drive and ambition. It’s a go-getting dynamic influence encouraging you to step up your game. This is your cosmic cue to stop procrastinating, learn from your mistakes and be a confident and bold career player.
It would be a good month to apply for a job, chase up a promotion or sign and seal a deal. Get your ambitious juices flowing and set some bold goals moving forward.
Scorpio intensity peaks on the 20th when there’s a Mercury-Mars conjunction here. This encourages you to be empowered, walk your talk and do what you say.
Plus, there are two inspirational Grand Water Trines involving Mercury and Mars in the last week of October. They pull in expansive Jupiter in Cancer and your work and health sector. Also, your traditional ruler Saturn in Pisces and your personal money sector.
Put all this together and there’s a flow of energy boosting your career, work and money sectors. Play your cards right and you can go far.
Yet, all the planets are in water signs so this means it’s important to connect on an emotional level. Hone your emotional intelligence and use your people skills to get on the right side of a leader or person in authority.
Rub people up the wrong way and this could work against you. Be wary of needing to hold all the power and play a strategic game. The 7th and 24th could be critical when you’re wise to learn the art of compromise.
And, be wary of people wielding their power for the wrong reasons. It’s a tricky line to navigate but keep coming back to your intuition and trust your emotional response.
Plus, it’s wise to make your move in October because talk planet Mercury will turn retrograde in Sagittarius on November 9th and returns to Scorpio on November 19th. Therefore, you may have to play a waiting game next month. This is why you’re best to negotiate well and navigate your way forward this month when it comes to your career and money matters.
Neptune Returns To Pisces
Your ruling planet Saturn moved back into Pisces, the last star sign, on September 1st. This month, fantasy planet Neptune returns to Pisces on the 22nd. This represents the last chapter and Pisces rules your personal money, your assets and possessions, your values and self-worth.
Perhaps, you’re wrapping up a money deal or you’re dealing with a situation that’s both emotional and financial. Saturn moved into Pisces in March 2023 and Neptune entered Pisces back in 2011. Both planets will be here for another three months and then they’re gone.
Values and self-worth are under the cosmic spotlight when planets are in Pisces. Ideally, it’s a time to ensure you value yourself highly so you’re paid what you deserve. At the same time, you may be shifting your attitude towards money as your values change.
