Leo Season – Solar Eclipse
Moving into August, the star sign of the moment is fire sign Leo encouraging you to connect with other people and play your part within your community. The Sun remains in Leo until the 23rd and talk planet Mercury is in Leo from the 9th to the 25th. Plus, this is where you find big planet Jupiter which will remain in Leo until the middle of next year.

Also this month, there’s a Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 12th. This is part of the eclipse cycle which started in February 2026 and continues until January 2028 cutting across the Leo/Aquarius axis of the zodiac. The majority of the eclipses are Solar Eclipses, i.e. turbo-powered New Moons.

Venus Libra
Also this month, the planet of relating Venus moves into your fellow air sign Libra on the 6th where she remains until September 10. Libra is one of the social sectors of your horoscope linked to children, creativity, romance, entertainment and fun.
Libra’s an air sign like your star sign Gemini and this is potentially good news for you as you’re ‘in your element’. Air signs are about connection and networking, ideas and socialising. Therefore, it’s an ideal month to actively seek joy and pleasure in your life and practise gratitude for what you have.
You may find new ways of enjoying yourself and expressing your skills and talents. Focus on your children if you’re a parent and help them engage with school work or out in the world.
Libra rules romance in your horoscope too, so new love could be on the horizon. The 12th is gorgeous for going on a date or celebrating love. Or perhaps, you bump into someone close to home who lights up your life. This could be what the Solar Eclipse is about for you, meeting someone new.
Virgo Season – Lunar Eclipse
There’s a shift in energy in the last week of August. Your ruling planet Mercury enters earth sign Virgo on the 25th, two days after the Sun moves into Virgo on the 23rd. This highlights home and family affairs and your domestic situation. It’s an ideal time to get organised and create new structures or systems in your life.
The Sun and Mercury make a cazimi conjunction at the base of your horoscope on the 27th. This could be a stand-out period in the month for home and family matters. This is where you’re wise to channel your energy and focus on your future security. You might be involved in a property deal or be helping someone out financially, perhaps in your family.
Yet, it can’t be denied that events could be lively as there’s a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 28th. This eclipse is important for you regarding your foundations, your security and stability in life. Eclipses are game-changers and often bring what’s hidden to light. Pisces is your career and future sector and Virgo is your home and family sector.
Perhaps, you feel pulled in different directions. Or it’s a challenge to juggle home and work and you feel unsure about your next steps. If you’re not happy with where you live or your career path, life could intervene. The Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle began in September 2024 and is shaping the foundations of your life until February 2027.
Plus, this eclipse pulls in wild-card Uranus in your star sign Gemini. Uranus makes square aspects to the Sun, Mercury and the Moon on the 28th. Therefore, it’s wise to ask who’s the wild card in your life or who’s got other ideas or plans to yourself?

Your ruling planet Mercury finally leaves the star sign Cancer and your personal money sector on the 9th. However, two days later, on the 11th, action planet Mars picks up the Cancer baton where it will remain until the end of September.
