Inner Work
As April begins, the Sun is in fire sign Aries where it remains until the 19th. Traditionally, when the Sun is in this sector of your horoscope, it’s a time for rest and retreat. Inner work is recommended or you’re caring for yourself and other people more than usual.
Perhaps, you’re preparing for a new stage in life and this is causing some worry or concern because you’re heading into the unknown. If you’re overly anxious, it’s wise to find a way to stop and slow down and quieten your mind. Being in nature is an ideal way of restoring calm and balance or take regular exercise. You may be craving more time alone than usual.
Alternatively, you might be studying or be busy with research or planning. You could be squirrelled away preparing a big project or getting ready to be in the public eye.
Mercury Turns Direct
Also this month, there are two significant turning points. Firstly, communication planet Mercury turns direct on the 7th and it’s been an unusually chaotic Mercury retrograde phase since March 15th.
When Mercury is back up to speed, news or information that’s been hidden may come to light. Mercury turns direct in Pisces and your friendship and group sector.
Therefore, it’s a positive time to get things moving in these areas. If you want to improve your social life, the second half of April is the ideal time to get more involved within society and group activities.
Venus Turns Direct/Full Moon
In addition, your ruling planet Venus turns direct mid-month. Venus has been retrograde for the last six weeks since March 2nd. And, like Mercury, Venus turns direct in Pisces and your friendship and group sector on the 13th.
Notice whether any hidden themes emerge or secrets come to light. If you’ve been ostracised from a friend or cut off from a group, Venus turning direct could help you heal a rift or bring you closer to a third party. Love and friendship are linked when Venus is in Pisces. Therefore, reach out to other people and create strong connections in your life.
On the same day that Venus turns direct, the 13th, there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. You may have a major revelation during this Full Moon as it’s about inner work and self-understanding. You may realise what works for you on a daily level and where you want or need to change things around. The star sign Libra is linked to your work and your health.
If you work in a charity or volunteer, this is about being of service to others. Or it may be a time of prayer and ritual, tapping into a deeper stream of wisdom that can help heal and soothe yourself and others.
Your social circle could widen further from mid-month onwards. Therefore, take good care of yourself and prioritise your needs, especially if your life is busy. Certainly, it’s an ideal time to cultivate friends and alliances in high places. If you’re keen to be part of the ‘in crowd’, whatever this means for you, this is your time to leap in.
Taurus Season/New Moon
The Sun’s move into Taurus on the 19th is a step in the right direction for you. The Sun represents vitality and energy and it can feel like a confidence boost when you have the Sun lighting up your star sign.
When you have planets in Taurus, the focus is on you. Therefore, it’s an ideal time in the year to consider your personal goals and aims, where you’re heading and why.
The New Moon on the 27th falls in your star sign Taurus, an ideal date to set your intentions not only for the month ahead but for the coming year.
Mars’ Clash
Finally, there could be some big decisions to be made in the last ten days of the month. This might be linked to your home and family or your career and future path. Perhaps, you feel pulled in different directions or you’re up against opposition.
This has a lot to do with action planet Mars returning to Leo and your home and family sector on the 18th. Mars clashes with the Sun in your star sign Taurus on the 21st and with power planet Pluto in Aquarius and your career and future sector on the 27th.
The opposition between Mars and Pluto on the 27th is volatile and could coincide with an ending or loss. This may be linked to events back in 2024 when these two planets first clashed on November 3rd. It might be that something has come full circle and you’re in an impossible situation.
Consider where your priorities lie and dig deep to decide what stays and what goes. You may feel responsible for a parent, a business or a family member. Yet, try not to get involved in an ongoing argument or power games.
This is forceful planetary energy and it’s wise to do whatever’s right so you’re not the victim of other people’s anger or power. Most importantly, be safe and put your personal well-being first.
