Saturn Enters Aries
February 14, 2026
Saturn Leaves Pisces
After what feels like a long hard winter, Saturn finally leaves the last degree of the last star sign Pisces and enters the first star sign Aries. There’s been some major dredging going on of the past asking some people for forgiveness and acceptance, others for retribution and atonement of sins.
I’ve been following the monks on their Walk for Peace for some time now and, this week, their journey is complete. They set off in October 2025 walking and spreading love – one step in front of the other, day by day.
That’s often what Saturn asks of us, discipline and commitment, putting in the hard work day after day, being willing to shoulder the tough times and keep going even when it feels as if there’s no hope.
Saturn in Aries is a new beast but Aries brings the fire – prayer and meditation may not be enough as Aries will rise up against authority and hold it accountable.
Where are the new beginnings in your life? Where are you ready to channel your anger and passion and not give up?
New Beginnings
The 2026 new beginnings are firmly underway. On January 26, one of the modern planets Neptune left the last star sign Pisces and moved into the first star sign Aries.
This week, on February 14, the planet of authority, responsibility and boundaries Saturn leaves Pisces and moves into Aries. Like Neptune, Saturn has already dipped its toe into Aries. The two planets were side-by-side in Aries in June, July & August 2025.
Consider what you were seeding back then to help you know where to make a commitment to a new beginning now.
In just over one week’s time, Saturn & Neptune will meet and make a planetary conjunction for the first time since 1989. It’s an epic new beginning as Saturn and Neptune come together at 0° Aries and the start of the zodiac.
Saturn will remain in Aries until April 2028 while Neptune will be there for much longer until 2038/2039. I’ll be writing more about the Saturn/Neptune Conjunction next week. For now, let’s concentrate on Saturn.
Saturn In Aries
It’s always important when Saturn changes star sign as Saturn is one of the two traditional planets which represent leadership. Saturn represents hard work, discipline and effort and likes to play by the rules.
Saturn’s nature is making slow and steady progress to achieve your ambitions and long-term goals. The fact that Saturn is starting over in the zodiac is a symbol of reset, reinvention and stepping boldly into a new world.
So how will Saturn in Aries play out? For starters, Saturn in Aries is an uncomfortable planet/sign combination. This is because Aries is a fire sign that’s impulsive, hot-headed and independent. Whereas, Saturn represents rules, laws and the old order. Saturn’s a slow and steady influence and favours patience over spontaneous impulses.
You might want to rise up against the system when Saturn’s in Aries. Yet, doing your own thing (Aries) could get you into trouble with the authorities (Saturn). Even so, the world is likely to see more individuals taking a stand against the things and people in life where they are being limited, held back or stopped in their tracks.
At its best, Saturn in Aries is strident, a blazing fury and headstrong. Be wary of starting something new, however, and running out of steam. Whatever you begin, ensure you’re in it for the long run.
Aries is ruled by God of war Mars and what this will mean for the wars that are currently raging around our world could be pivotal. Hopefully, Saturn will put a stop to some of the wars, a ceasefire?
At its best, Saturn represents wisdom, a down-to-earth leadership of common sense. Although in Aries, Saturn’s playing a bold new game.
Saturn in Aries – 1996
It takes Saturn approximately 29-30 years to circuit the zodiac. The last time Saturn was in Aries was 1996. Look at these Aries-related facts: the most popular film was Independence Day, Braveheart won best picture at the Oscars, the action-adventure video game Tomb Raider was launched and ER was the most popular TV show! All strong Aries themes, the star sign of independence, bravery, attack and good in a crisis!
Dolly the sheep was born in 1996 too, the first cloned mammal and yes, she was named after Dolly Parton! Aries is the first star sign, the trailblazer and pioneer of the zodiac. Expect more firsts and inventions with knowledgeable Saturn, the scientist and academic, in the first star sign.
Your Saturn Return
If you were born between April 1996-February 1999, 1967-1969 or April 1937-March 1940, this is your Saturn Return (you need to check your horoscope to know for sure).
Your first Saturn Return takes place age 30, your astrological coming of age symbolising maturity and adulthood. It can be a challenging period of self-analysis, a reality check of whether you’re on the right track or not. It’s often a time of endings and commitments when responsibilities kick in, whether marriage, parenting, mortgages or career goals. In astrology, it’s often considered the gateway to adulthood.
Your second Saturn Return takes place age 60, the official age when you become a pensioner (not that you’re likely to receive your pension at 60!) This has a different flavour to the first Saturn Return. Some people are considering the end of a lifetime of work and it’s another important time of reassessment.
Health issues can kick in – Saturn rules the bones, joints and teeth. Yet, most importantly, this a period in your life when you can make decisions based on wisdom and experience. In astrology, it’s often considered the gateway to your Indian summer.
Your third Saturn Return takes place age 90. If you’re still active and planning ahead, that’s an achievement in itself. Yeah to everyone who makes it to 90!

I’m Taurus 1949. Interesting Saturn is bones, joints and teeth. I have osteoarthritis and problems with my joints , on going teeth issues and have just been diagnosed with what was described as “extremely serious osteoporosis of the spine.” Life is not good
I’m really sorry to hear that, Jenni. Hopefully Saturn’s move into Aries brings something new to help you moving forward. Sending best wishes.
