Money Matters

Aries rules your personal money, your possessions, your values and your self-worth. Therefore, with the Sun in Aries until the 19th, this is a positive time to think about how you support yourself financially, consider where your money goes and what you do with it. In other words, a financial overhaul.

It’s been a chaotic time on the finance front recently and you may be actively engaged in thinking about how you can more effectively use your money or ways you can make money. Or you might be working out how to use your money to be of service to others.

This is about your security, the basics of life, paying the bills and balancing the books. It’s an important month to consider what you do with your money. And dig deep to find out what money means for you.

The 6th is potentially a lucky date when the Sun in Aries aligns with your ruling planet Jupiter in Gemini and your home and family sector. Take a leap of faith and chase new opportunities.

If you feel out of control financially throughout April, aim to stay focused and deal with one thing at a time. Practise gratitude for what you have, appreciate small kindnesses and ask for help or support.

Mercury Turns Direct

What’s helpful this month is the fact that there are two key turning points. Firstly, the planet of communication Mercury turns direct in your star sign Pisces on the 7th.

This comes after three weeks of Mercury retrograde’ mischief and miscommunication. Mercury started its retrograde phase on March 15th when it turned retrograde in Aries and your money sector.

Now Mercury’s back up to speed in Pisces, the spotlight is on your personal goals and aims, your image and profile. The cosmic green light turns towards you. It might be the right time to speak up, put yourself first and get back on track with your personal projects.

This could be a creative time for you especially around money, values and self-worth. Note that Mercury returns to Aries and your personal money sector on the 16th and immediately makes a powerful conjunction with your co-ruler Neptune on the 17th.

Neptune moved into Aries at the end of March and is encouraging you to use your imagination and dream big when it comes to money. There may be a sea-change in your finances and what might help is having a big vision to guide you.

Venus Turns Direct/Full Moon

The second turning point comes on the 13th when Venus, the planet of love and money, art and beauty, turns direct. Venus has been retrograde for six weeks since March 2nd. And, like Mercury, Venus is turning direct in your star sign Pisces.

You may have been practising self-love while Venus has been on go slow in your star sign. Or perhaps, your values have changed and you realise that what you truly appreciate in life is different to what it was at the start of the year.

If love has gone quiet, reach out mid-month. It’s an ideal time for reconnection, to hold out the olive branch of peace. Or perhaps, you feel ready to walk away from a job or career path that no longer suits you.

You may be ready to ask for a promotion and make sure you get paid what you deserve. Note that Venus returns to Aries on the 30th and there could be a revelation around finances or your values.

In addition, there’s a Full Moon on the same day that Venus turns direct, the 13th. This Full Moon cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac highlighting your money sectors.

Everything is amplified during the Full Moon phase and it’s potentially a time of clarity and illumination. Trust your intuition and decide whether you’re ready to take a big leap, invest or spend your money on something or someone you love.

Making Connections/New Moon

The Sun changes star sign on the 19th and moves into earth sign Taurus. This emphasises your communication sector which is great for marketing, sales and community ventures. 

It’s an ideal time to use your networks, connect with other people, make friends and reach out. Wherever you want to extend your social circle, use your voice, either personally or professionally. 

This indicates there’s support in your community, so aim to be social and have a good network of friends around you. It’s not just about support and advice, it’s about having fun as well. Work your connections and create supportive relationships in your life. Be around people who make you laugh and lift your spirits. 

There may be times when you have to dig deep in your close relationships, especially with the person who plays devil’s advocate. Or the person who insists on arguing every point. 

Use the New Moon in Taurus on the 27th to set your intentions around communication. This may be linked to events which take place on the 4th/5th when community matters are foreground.

Mars’ Power

There is another important planetary factor which involves action planet Mars. Mars moves into fire sign Leo on the 18th and your work and health sector and Mars is a dynamic and motivating force.

Yet, Mars rules anger and there are some powerful Mars’ clashes in the last ten days of the month. Mars is square the Sun in Taurus on the 21st which feels argumentative. Then, Mars is opposed by power planet Pluto in Aquarius and the most hidden sector of your horoscope on the 27th, the same day as the New Moon.

Aquarius rules secret enemies in your horoscope so be wary who you’re up against. It’s a conflict opposition and could link back to events which took place early November 2024 or at the start of this year, 2025.

You could be caught in an impossible situation, one that’s corrupt or unjust. It might be the right time to cut your losses and turn your back on an argument or political situation that’s causing you stress or negatively impacting your health.
