Sagittarius Season
As December begins, the inner planets are moving through fire sign Sagittarius. The Sun is here until the 21st, action planet Mars is in Sagittarius until the 15th and, most importantly for you, your ruling planet Venus is in Sagittarius until the 24th. Plus, talk planet Mercury moves back into Sagittarius on the 11th.
This is about being out in the world as Sagittarius rules one of the social sectors of your horoscope, including new friends, your community and neighbourhood. This is often a lively time of year in the run up to the festive season. And, if you’re a typical Libra, you tend to have a wide social circle and you enjoy the social whirl.
This is your cosmic cue to get out and about, team up with people close to home, get the gossip or the advice and support you need. It’s a positive month to be social and find your tribe. Create good relations in your life and use your charm, diplomacy and mediating skills to your advantage.
Communication is a key theme too, whether you’re pitching for work or you’re using the spoken or written word to your advantage. Perhaps, you work in customer services or sales or you’re doing marketing and promotional work for your own business.
Also this month, there’s a New Moon in Sagittarius on the 20th, a symbol of new beginnings. This would be the ideal date to arrange a neighbourhood venture or get together with your siblings and relatives.
Saturn & Neptune
The other major lunation in December is the Full Moon on the 4th cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac. This is the axis of your horoscope which rules education and learning, travel and new experiences. It’s an ideal time to be expansive in your thinking and share your ideas widely.
It would be a good Full Moon to jet off on a trip or sign up for a course. You may feel the pull of a new year calling you and your sights may be set on new experiences and adventures for 2026 and beyond.
However, even though a new year is on the horizon, it’s important to complete things before then. There’s a theme of completion or things needing to be wrapped up before you can look ahead.
This has a lot to do with the planets Saturn and Neptune which are completing their respective journeys through Pisces, the last star sign. Both planets will move into a new star sign in the first couple of months of 2026. Yet, this month, they’re encouraging you to surrender, let go and bring matters to a resolution.
Pisces is your work and health sector, linked to your lifestyle and daily routine. Perhaps, a job is coming to an end this month which is why you’re thinking about your next steps and how you’re going to earn a living. At their best, Saturn and Neptune working together encourage you to breathe life into your dreams and take the necessary steps to make them happen.
However, the flip side of the two planets can be fear or doubt and falling into impossibility. If you’re unemployed or you’re struggling with your health, it’s important to be vigilant and not let negative emotions dominate.
The planet Neptune is prominent on the 10th, the date it turns direct in Pisces. You may be emotionally invested in your work. Or perhaps, you’re unclear or confused about what you’re doing and why. Go with the flow but, at the same time, don’t believe everything you hear and fine-tune your trust antennae.
All the inner planets moving through Sagittarius are square to Saturn and Neptune this month. The key dates are the 9th, 14th, 17th, 21st, 24th, 30th & Jan 1st. Don’t take on too much this month and wear yourself out. Pace yourself carefully and prioritise your health.
Perhaps, there’s some genuine sadness or disappointment if you can’t be with your relatives or the ones you love. Sometimes, this time of year feels poignant and acts a reminder of who’s gone and who you’ve lost in your life. Tread carefully and gently if this is true for you.
Home & Family
Where things may feel more grounded is at home or within your family. This is because of the emphasis on the star sign Capricorn. Action planet Mars is the first to enter Capricorn on the 15th, followed by the Sun’s move into Capricorn on the 21st, the day of the Solstice, and your ruling planet Venus changing star sign on the 24th.
When planets are in Capricorn, this can indicate a desire to be more settled. Capricorn rules your home and family, your past and where you come from, turning the focus towards your roots and your foundations. Aim for slow and steady progress rather than expect things to happen quickly.
You may have a lot to organise with your family on the run up to the festivities and over the holiday period as well. It’s not always easy to keep everyone happy depending on your family situation. However, what’s most important is that you do what’s right for you rather than trying to please everyone else.
