Full Moon Vibes
This week, there’s a Full Moon taking place on December 4. A Full Moon is beautiful to behold in the night sky and this month’s Full Moon is another Super Moon, even more glorious.
Full Moon themes are completion, culmination and celebration. You often experience heightened emotions and restless sleep during the Full Moon phase. It’s a powerful time for making key decisions and balancing your head and heart in doing so. During the Full Moon, you’re wise to consider what you need to release or let go of, emotionally or sometimes literally.
This feels important to do so during this month’s Full Moon, as you’ll know if you’ve read your monthly stars. There’s a major theme of completion, surrender, release and letting go.
This Full Moon cuts across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac, representing the lower mind and higher mind. Gemini is the communicator and ideas person, while Sagittarius is the seeker and explorer and both star signs are linked to learning and knowledge. Gemini rules the chatter of the marketplace and Sagittarius rules foreign connections.
This highlights the bigger picture in life, as Gemini and Sagittarius favour curiosity and exploration. Write down your ideas, read a good book or meet up with people who you enjoy talking with about life, the universe and everything. Become a student or step into a teaching role.
The light of the Moon shines brightly during the Full Moon phase and can coincide with the culmination of a project. You may be able to dig deep and finalise a matter that’s been dragging on, perhaps linked to transport, travel, technology or communications.
Cosmic Crossroads
If you’ve listened in to the latest episode of Astrology Talk podcast, you’ll know that during this Full Moon, the karmic nodes are at 13° Virgo/Pisces creating a mutable Grand Cross with the Sun & Moon at 13° Sagittarius/Gemini.
This will be especially powerful for you if you have planets or angles close to 13° of the four mutable star signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius & Pisces.
Perhaps, you sense that you’re at a crossroads and the wheel of fortune is turning. Listen out for the call of destiny during this Full Moon. Notice where you’re being pulled towards and what you’re being asked to juggle in life.
Sometimes, you need to ask ‘what’s my cross to bear?’ when a Grand Cross forms in the heavens. You could have a sense that if you move in one direction, it means letting go of something else.
When planets are square to the nodes, this is called the bendings. The south node, currently in Virgo, is the point of release while the north node, currently in Pisces, is where new energy comes in.
Mercury Direct
This Full Moon in Gemini is significant for another reason. Gemini is ruled by communication planet Mercury and it’s only a few days since Mercury turned direct in the heavens.
Mercury was retrograde from November 9 to 29 and is now moving forwards with confidence. Mercury won’t return to Sagittarius until December 11 and yet, there’s some common ground playing out.
The light of the Full Moon brings clarity and Mercury switching direction often brings information to light that’s been hidden. Therefore, this week could coincide with a significant turning point when you can start to move things in the right direction. At the very least, it’s an ideal time to trust your intuition and make wise decisions.
Mercury, the planet of facts, figures and communication is back on side and working well. Use his skills wisely, do what you can and get life back on track.
Grand Water Trine
Mercury turned direct in water sign Scorpio and, on December 6 & 7, there will be a final Grand Water Trine. These Grand Water Trine aspects have dominated the night sky since late October.
They have been formed when the inner planets moving through Scorpio have aligned with expansive Jupiter in Cancer and responsible Saturn in Pisces.
Mercury is completing the set of Grand Water Trines this coming weekend and, once again, this Grand Water Trine falls at 25° Scorpio, Pisces & Cancer.
A Grand Water Trine can inspire hope and faith and create an opportunity to turn dreams into reality. It has both psychic and healing potential. It does, however, generate a lot of water and emotion. Water can dissolve or drown or you drift away on the tide, lost at sea.
Knowing how to express your emotions and channel your emotions constructively is vital. Find an outlet that’s creative, artistic, compassionate, spiritual or healing. The power of the voice remains strong, a key feature of the Full Moon in Gemini and talk planet Mercury back to direct motion.
