Capricorn Horoscope September 2025
Virgo Season
Up until the 22nd, the Sun is in your fellow earth sign Virgo. Plus, talk planet Mercury is in this same sector of your horoscope from the 2nd to the 18th. Traditionally, this is a time when you’re keen to travel and broaden your horizons.
Virgo rules study, learning and knowledge in your horoscope and any activity which sources you and brings meaning to your life. You may be keen to study something new or be on a spiritual path. Or perhaps, you’re embracing a new religion or faith.
When planets are in Virgo, you want something more from life than the everyday. You might be exploring new beliefs or your philosophy on life. You could be interested in the workings of the mind or the mysteries of the world. Make a determined effort to expand your mind, body and soul.
The 13th could be a stand-out date when there’s a Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction in Virgo. Both planets are aligned with lucky Jupiter in Cancer and your relationship sector on the 12th. Perhaps, you’re heading off on a trip with the one you love. Or you meet someone new at a workshop or conference who becomes an inspiration in your life.
This month has a lot going for it at key moments, although there may be times when you feel that life is working against you and you lose trust or start to doubt what next. This has a lot to do with your ruling planet Saturn moving back into Pisces on the 1st. Pisces is an emotional water sign and Saturn can trigger fear or doubt.
What are you returning to or where do you need to complete something from the past? It could be as practical as an exam. Or you may return to a community project or something similar. Try not to get to stuck in an old mindset, however, or repeat patterns from the past.
Eclipse Month
Also this month, there’s some roller-coaster planetary activity as two eclipses takes place. Eclipses highlight the unexpected or a sudden change of plan. There’s a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on the 7th and a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo on the 21st. Both eclipses are cutting across the axis of your horoscope which represents education, travel and how you engage with the world.
Eclipses throw up a hidden theme and it’s important to be flexible and keep your plans open. This highlights schools and teaching, learning and knowledge in your horoscope. Pisces rules siblings, neighbours and your local community, while the opposite star sign Virgo rules travel, study and foreign connections.
Some hopes or dreams may have to be shelved or postponed and it’s wise to be realistic about what you can and can’t achieve. Yet, other new goals and dreams could emerge in their place. Events could turn on the flick of a dime as the wheel of fortune leads you in a new direction.
The Solar Eclipse in Virgo on the 21st falls at the end of the star sign following on from a New Moon in Virgo at the beginning of the star sign on August 23rd. Plus, this is the only Solar Eclipse in the whole Virgo/Pisces eclipse cycle which began in September 2024 and completes in February 2027.
Usually, a Solar Eclipse is a turbo-powered New Moon. However, during this eclipse, your planet Saturn opposes the Sun and Moon. Therefore, consider why there’s a theme of duty and responsibility stopping you from expanding your life. Or perhaps, you have to say no to a new opportunity because it goes against what you believe in.
If you know you have a tough inner critic, don’t be hard on yourself. Be vigilant about your thoughts and don’t let negativity take hold. Talk to someone you trust, write down your feelings, decide whether you’re right to change direction or whether you’re better off waiting until you feel more sure of yourself, more confident.
Aim to make the most of your opportunities this month and don’t be your own worst enemy. Notice who’s holding you back or what’s not working out. It might be that a new opportunity can’t begin or you’re unable to embrace the freedom you crave, until you let go or move on.
Libra Season
Throughout September there’s strong emphasis on the star sign Libra ruling your career and vocation. Action planet Mars is here up until the 22nd when it passes on the Libra baton to the Sun on the day of the Equinox. Talk planet Mercury’s in Libra too from the 18th onwards. This indicates that there may be a lot of action, heat and negotiations taking place, encouraging you to focus your gaze on your future path.
Use your connections to pursue your career goals or vocational dreams. Planets in Libra are a reminder that you’re one of the cardinal signs and you need a mountain to climb. This fits with Uranus turning retrograde in Gemini on the 6th.
When it comes to work, Uranus is the freelancer and Gemini is your everyday work sector. Perhaps, things aren’t working out in the 9-to-5. Or you recognise that without making a bold move, your future plans aren’t going to change. If you’re unsure of your next steps, wait for the eclipses to unfold before taking action.
Mars Power
Groups and clubs are under the cosmic spotlight in your horoscope when action planet Mars moves into Scorpio on the 22nd. This is about your friends, your tribe and the people you connect with on a deep level. It’s an ideal time to consider how your networks and connections can benefit you, both personally and professionally. Don’t go it alone but team up with other people.
Scorpio energy peaks towards the end of the month and you’re wise to be around people who fire you up and are bold and courageous. However, there is one tricky planetary aspect on the 24th when Mars clashes with Pluto in Aquarius and your personal money sector. Be wary of mixing money and friendship and don’t get pulled into a power game.
Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts
It’s a double whammy of eclipses this month. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that you’re not in control.
- Ideally, don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can aim to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes and wheel of destiny – they often act as a signpost or turning point.
