Home & Family
It’s important to consider your home and family this month, what they mean to you and how this impacts what you do in the world. This is because action planet Mars is moving through Gemini, the star sign at the base of your horoscope. Therefore, it’s a good time to be ambitious and pro-active about home and family plans.
Yet, whatever you’re currently engaged in regarding your home, family or past, be aware that you’re playing the long game. This is because the planet of communication Mercury rules Gemini and is currently retrograde until the 23rd.
Mars in your home and family sector can be argumentative. Perhaps, you have to confront what’s challenging, in order to bring things out into the open. It’s unlikely to be a quiet time at home or within your family but at least Mars enables you to get things moving.
The craziest date could be the 4th when Mars runs into wild-card Uranus in Gemini. This combination is fast-moving and impulsive, although be aware that it can be accident-prone too and requires some careful handling.
It’s not the best date to get into an argument with a family member and be aware that other people could be feeling more angry or passionate.
Caring Cancer
Cancer is the star sign which rules all the good things in your life, including romance, children and pregnancy, entertainment, creative projects and luck.
With the Sun in Cancer until the 22nd, this is an ideal time to do more of what you love, prioritise play and go with the flow. Spend time reading or relaxing, daydreaming or pondering.
This is especially true this Cancer season because this is where you find communication planet Mercury retrograde up until the 23rd. Therefore, it’s an ideal time in the year to slow things down, smell the roses and take a staycation. Dive deep into a creative project or change your schedule around so you can spend more time with your children or grandchildren.
This month’s New Moon falls in Cancer on the 14th, a symbol of new beginnings. Plus, it’s an extra special New Moon as it takes place the day after a Sun/Mercury cazimi conjunction in Cancer on the 13th. This is the midway point of the Mercury retrograde phase and can coincide with a shift or change in your situation.
Sometimes, you hear news or gain greater insight or understanding about what’s going on. This may relate to your personal life as Cancer rules romance and love affairs.
Plus, you have the planet of love and relating Venus in Virgo from the 9th onwards, which is often a classic time for loving relations. There is a proviso, however, as Venus clashes with Uranus and Mars in Gemini on the 13th & 29th respectively.
This can indicate a battle of the sexes or a clash between your love life and what your family want or need. Another good reason to take the pace of life slowly.
Do What You Love
On the 22nd, there’s a shift of pace as the Sun enters fiery Leo, the star sign which rules your work and routine, your health and well-being. Leo is a colourful, joyful influence and this is where you find your traditional ruling planet Jupiter.
Therefore, this Leo season is a good time to ensure you’re in tip-top condition and that work is a lovely place to be. If not, you might be rethinking or reconsidering what you want to do next. If you’re looking for work, this is a positive time to reconnect with an old employer or work you did previously.
As the Sun moves through Leo, it makes a powerful conjunction with Jupiter on the 29th. This is considered one of the luckiest dates of the year and for you it lights up your work and health sector. You could hear good news on or around this date and it would be worth applying for your dream job close to this date.
On the same day, the 29th, there’s a Full Moon taking place cutting across the Leo/Aquarius axis of the zodiac. Full Moons often coincide with drama and emotion, although they’re linked to celebration and achievement too.
This would be a positive time to restore your energy, look after yourself and do whatever makes you happy and cheerful. Engage in daily activities which put a smile on your face.
There is one question mark, however, as two planets switch direction and turn retrograde this month. They are your modern ruler Neptune on the 7th and the planet of responsibility Saturn on the 26th. Both planets are currently in Aries and your financial sector.
This suggests that things could slow down for you financially and this may be linked to what’s happening at work. Alternatively, you could find that a financial pressure begins to ease.
The Big Pattern
Events in July may prove pivotal when the modern planets are working together, from the 15th to the 25th. This involves Uranus in Gemini and your home and family sector, your co-ruler Neptune in Aries and your personal money sector and Pluto in Aquarius and the most hidden sector of your horoscope, linked to service and spirituality.
What’s extraordinary about this period in the year is that your traditional ruling planet Jupiter is pulled into the planetary pattern on the 20th & 21st. This means that both your ruling planets are involved in the Big Pattern.
Perhaps, you step into a volunteering role or you’re ready to make a sacrifice to help someone close. You could become a carer or work in a hospice or prison.
Yet, this isn’t just about being of service to others. It’s about your spiritual development and being willing to push back the boundaries of life. Maybe you experiment with psychedelics, become a shaman or turn to God.
You could revolutionise your health when you find the alternative treatments or healing that work for you. Or you start to work as a healer or in the health and fitness industry.
This is your opportunity to lean fully into your Pisces archetype and say yes to a futuristic path that reveals the world to you in a completely new way.
Mercury Retrograde Do’s & Don’ts
Remember the Mercury retrograde mantra – put off the big decisions & major investments while the communication planet is on go slow until July 23rd. Here are some top tips:
